I had a chicken club sandwich since I needed to get a meal combo for at least $10 (because of the gift card). The meal included French fries shaped like little waffles with holes in them. 20 years ago I ate French fries several times a week. Now I eat French fries once a year. We were adventurous tonight and went to a Bosnian restaurant.

Turkish coffee, cabbage rolls, Cevapi.

Tasty.

Aldi is one of the largest supermarket chains with over 10,000 stores.

Yeah but how much is their gaming revenue? Probably not as high as any smiths, ralphs, or 711’s in Las Vegas, ill tell you hwat!

Today I ate an iced tea, fancy lunchables, Evian water, a chicken Baja burrito from Baja Fresh, about to eat some cornned nuts, and earlier I had a #10 at Taco Bell with a Baja blast drink.

In Nevada the supermarkets usually don't get any gaming revenue. They just lease out the floor space to a slot route operator.

You young kids. There were no Lunchables when we were in school. We were happy to reach into our pants pockets and find a half of a piece of bologna that Mom put in for a snack.

the posts about gyros reminded me that I hadn't cooked lamb chops in a long time
so, I bought some this morning, the higher price ones that are fat with the big bone inside the meat

I added a little soy sauce, salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder and then broiled them

they were awesome. I'm not any kind of great cook - I was amazed I could make something that was so good

Today I had the first of my most recent big batch of lasagne. I was disappointed that the layers had merged a bit too much and it was a bit runny. Still delish though and a pretty healthy balance of ingredients. Been doing lots of batch cooking for the freezer, recently.

How are you guys on diets faring? I'm currently a bit stuck at around 180 pounds, which is a recent low.

Pondering on how much I should 'let myself go' when feasting over Christmas. Would hate to undo lots of struggling

On Wednesday , I pick up my friend at the airport. He didnt want to shake hands because he is recovering from a bug. Thursday in the early morning, I wake up nauseous and with a horrible case of the runs. Strangest illness I ever experienced. I'd feel great for about twenty minutes, then my fever would start to peak and everything let loose. Over and over. Didn't sleep for two days and decided yesterday if it lasted the night I'd go to urgent care. Started to feel good about ten last night, finally got some sleep and woke up feeling great today, although a quick walk with my dog showed me how weak I was.
The good news- I lost 17 pounds since I weighed myself on Monday. The bad is I'm sure most is water and I'll gain it back, but as of right now I'm lighter than I've been in 15 years. It's been years, maybe thirty or more, since I was that sick. I spoke with my friend and he said that while he didn't get nearly that sick, several of his coworkers had. I don't think it was a flu but have no idea what else does this. Next time, he Ubers.

Just an add on- Friday night, I remembered I was given two disposable CBD vape pens at a Halloween party. I dug one up and it did seem to help with the nausea.

That is one serious loss. Even if you emptied your entire alimentary canal of maybe 5 lb of 'stuff' you still lost a lot of 'you'

In college, it wasn't unusual for some of the two way starters to lose 15 pounds over the course of a game. I'd lose about two, mostly from standing around in the cold.
I think my body used this illness as an excuse to get rid of stuff I'd been carrying around a long time.

People eat way more than they should now a days and thats because everyones been brainwashed that youre supposed to eat 3 meals a day. Heck, even droned out corrupt and ignorant doctors now tell you to eat 6 times a day with 6 small meals throughout the day such as snacks etc. All of that is WRONG and has been debunked a while ago. The thing people dont understand is that your body ADJUSTS to how you eat. If you eat 10 times a day, you will get cravings all day. If you eat 3 times a day, you will get cravings in the morning, afternoon, and in the evening.

Theres also no 'survival mode' myth BS that happens just because you dont eat 3 meals a day. Our body stores fat for precisely this reason. If you are overweight or obese, and you think you will go into survival mode and destroy your metabolism simply because you missed a meal, you are beyond ignorant. You wont die or pass out, although initially you might feel a bit nauseated because you have accustomed your body to eat ALL THE TIME, but that passes after a week of re-training your system. All that fat on your body will be used up before you die and if you're really overweight, you can love without food probably for the next 6 months as lomg as you drink water. The problem is people are so used to eating all day long that they get these little false 'cravings' inside of them falsely making them believe theyre 'hungry' when the actual truth is its just a false signal from your body because its accustomed to EXPECT food. Those arent actual REAL cravings.

Fasting 20-24 hours each day(sleep counts) and eating 1 big meal a day preferably at night before you go to bed is the natural way to eat just like our ancestors did back in the cavemen days. Of course you still cant just chow down fast food each day and expect to be healthy, but thats a given and widely understood. Fasting is just the supplement to being healthy. Nature has a way of dealing with unhealthy people and thats through disease and death. By essentially 'stealing' too much food from everyone else they die off to maintain the population. See how wonderful nature is? And those who listen to their bodies and fast, are rewarded with a detoxed medication free body and lifestyle.

All of these fake disorders and diseases such as insomnia, obesity, high cholestorol, high blood pressure, and having your kitchen cabinet filled with prescription medication, would all go away if people simply fasted and allowed their bodies to naturally detox and cleanse itself combined with 1 big healthy meal at night or even one small low glycemic meal during the day such as some fruit or a salad and then one big meal at night. Stop going through your whole day emotionally connected to food carrying separate meals to work and sleeping on their desk halfway through the day. Is that a way to go through each and every day of your life? By being a slave to food? Simply hilarious. Youre telling me thats the normal way to go through your day? Go ahead and tell me how many insomniacs there are after thanksgiving dinner? Ill wait.

You think cavemen back in the day woke up to a mcdonalds across the horizon? Or did they hunt all day with their sympathetic nervous systems activated, grazing on some fruit throughout the day, and then eating the deer they killed at night? You think they ate the deer in the morning and then went to hunt? LOL. Nope, they hunted all day on an empty stomach and eventually had a big dinner feast and slept nice and happily on a full stomach by listening to their parasympathetic nervous systems, lying down and sleeping until the next morning, rinse and repeat. You tell me which way of living makes more natural sense and sense in general.

But dont mind me, I'm just a crazy conspiracist, or maybe Im simply just ahead of my time and that in 100 years from now everyone will realize I was right. Welcome to this trash society today where everyone is 'reactive' rather than being 'proactive'.

Any private business open to the PUBLIC (ie. droned out casinos) cannot have a criminal trespass enforced against an individual without GOOD CAUSE (Disruptive or Disorderly conduct). You will never go to prison for being thrown out of a casino for legal advantage play and then returning because it's simply unconstitutional 'as applied' to the individual. 'As applied' constitutional issues must FIRST be raised in DISTRICT COURT (trial court) to have it thrown out. You CANNOT raise it on APPEAL This is the best kept secret in the world of casinos not just in Vegas but everywhere in the country. Thank me later.

If you think the generations before us & cavemen knew whats best for nutrition & diet I beg to differ.

Just google image what a bodybuilder/strongman looked like in the 1930's 1920's w/ their weird mustaches and stack that up to any bodybuilder or even a fitness model today. You are going to see a CLEAR advancement in nutritional science in terms of muscle mass & shred. How many cavemen look like Dwayne Johnson?(7 meals a day)

I ate at the palms buffet. Not worth the $21 that they charged but I got for free. I still can't reach into the innards of the salad bar area :(

Since skin is the largest organ, and easily absorbs lotions etc, it's good practice not to apply liquids on it that you wouldn't eat/drink.

after you finish your meal you can call ICE and get them to deport some of the undocumented workers there

As is tradition, of course.

I'm not really doing keto during the holidays. I'm sticking with some fasting to keep things under control.

Weighed myself for the first time in a very long time. 190. 185 is probably a good weight for me, as I'm fairly tall.

Wore some pants with a 32 inch waist. Slightly snug, but doable. Put on some old pants and they were like clown pants.

Just weighed myself actually before even seeing this. 188, but was wearing sweats, socks, underwear, shirt, and a light sweatshirt thingie. I’m the same weight I was in high school Sr. year.

Been eating dry shredded wheat, hummus and lentils, trying to avoid sugar but then I caved in and had a can of cherries, which is fructose but at least the fiber will slow its release and it is supposed to be good for gout. immobility continues. may have to resume intake of peanut butter. turned on the heat for these 40 degree nights!

one bowl Bran Flakes with milk.
one medium sized banana.
Two medium tomatoes sliced and slathered with mayonnaise on half a loaf of cheap white bread.
one Starbucks Frappacino (200 calories), most of it sugar and caffeine.
possibly an additional Frappacino (in addition to will power problems, I have memory problems).

bowl Bran Flakes with milk. (carbs and sugar)
banana (pure sugar)
half a loaf of cheap white bread. (pure carbs)
s Frappacino (200 calories), most of it sugar
Another sugar frap, maybe

So you're back on the Grim Reaper diet,
I thought we talked about this. You just
ate more sugar than I eat in a year.
And more carbs than I eat in a month.

Never mind..

Orange Beef with Bell Pepper and scallion rice
delicious
The sauce makes the dish
The sauce, I cook some garlic and scallions for a min or 2 to get that aroma going, then add soy sauce, ,apricot preserves, rice wine vinegar, siracha and the juice of one orange
Cook for about 5 min as the sauce thickens. delicious
Its just a forum. Nothing here to get obsessed about.

Breakfast: full-fat greek yogurt with honey and walnuts. Cold-brew coffee with heavy cream.
Lunch: Dinner leftovers from last night: Cajun spiced chicken breast with chopped bell peppers and onions and pasta with home made alfredo sauce (easy on the pasta...I'm trying to get more protein and fewer carbs)
Snack: shrimp with BBQ sauce (don't have any cocktail sauce handy, the BBQ is actually pretty good)
Dinner: TBD, wife hasn't started cooking yet. She's a pretty great cook.

I need to lose about 20 pounds; I am 230 right now (6'0" tall). I have finally gotten back in the gym about 5 months ago and consistently doing a strength training routine with barbells (basically Rippetoe's Starting Strength program). I am definitely putting on muscle, but barely losing any fat yet. But I have only been really attacking my diet for a couple of weeks. Patience is the name of the game. More nuts, beans, salads, less junk they offer for free at work (argh).
