Swollen stork legs. Mmm delicious fried.
I haven't toured Thailand yet
I can't wait to tour Thailand and sample what they're famous for
eating flying termites
at 5:34 in the vid the girls start to enjoy the delicious delicacy
Gouda and mozzarella cheese. Top with diced
tomatoes with green chilies, ham, and sour cream.
Really quick to make, put it in the microwave for 3
minutes, and it's really delicious.

Do you get your pork skins at the supermarket or at a butcher? What temperature do you fry them?

I made them from scratch once,
once was enough. Way too much
work. I buy them from UTZ, already
made.

I have been buying the microwavable ones that fry in the microwave just like microwave popcorn.

Quote: billryan...For some reason, the sourdough slice would not brown properly...
That is interesting. We know that browning is caused by carmelization of sugars.
The sourdough microbes' consumption of almost all the sugar in that batch of dough must have caused the lack of browning.
with steak seasoning. Bake for 40 min and top with
cheese 2 min before you take it from the oven.

got hungry on the road and stopped at Taco Bell
ordered one of their cheapest offerings - soft taco with beef - $1.49
I know the beef was low quality
but as a whole it had a lot of flavor - it was tasty - much more than a MickyDees burger
I was impressed - they're masters of giving their food flavor

I think Taco Bell is passable overall, as far as fast food goes. I went there about once every 2-3 months, at one point, but now we go to Moe's if we're in the mood for cheapish Mexican fast food. The Taco Bell $5 boxes, in particular, I often find to be a pretty good deal.

Do you have Del Taco on the East coast? A couple times a year I go to Del Taco on Tuesdays when they have 3 tacos for $1.29. They are good for the price.

I don't know whether or not the East Coast has it, but there are none near me, in any case. I'll keep that in mind and check them out if any come into the area though, thanks!
Both places change their menu too much for my taste. They promote a cheap new dish, get you hooked and they pull it from the menu.
The Burger King here had tacos for a bit but got rid of them.
always loved coffee - lately have been experimenting
my favorite is Asian white coffee - my favorite brand is Maxim - Korean
white coffee is smooth and strong - brewed differently - it's sold 3 in 1 with a little bit of cream and a little bit of sugar
on Amazon it's more than double the price you can get in Asian markets - I guess Amazon does not have strong connections in Asia
now I mix it with a little bit of Latino instant espresso - Bustelo - and add a little Coffeemate to smooth it out - because now it's very strong
10 years ago I looked down on any instant coffee - not anymore - when I first started using it I was shocked at how good it is

I've never had the infamous Chicken and waffles, you chose Waffles as a bun. I read to have a rare burger it needs to be pasteurized, do you or do you just gamble? You should move to my town and open a restaurant. Is your wife a good cook too ? My beef stew turned out good, but my memory of it I'm sure is idealized.
I don't know if you guys have the Sarku chain near you - but their chicken teriyaki is excellent IMO
for $1.50 more you can get get double meat - which makes it enough for 2 meals - for me anyway - and just about $10 bucks
headed there today - looking forward to it

I have never heard of Sarku. Is it a regional chain? I travel a lot and always assume that I know about most chains but never heard of Sarku.

decided to start thinking about eating more healthy stuff
tonight, while watching a baseball game on the tube I'm going to go 𝙫𝙚𝙜𝙖𝙣
𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙝 𝙛𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙧
after I've polished the fries off I'll grab another brewsky and start on Doritos with avacado dip
until now, I never realized that going 𝙫𝙚𝙜𝙖𝙣 could be so much fun............................................................................................(~:\

That sounds like my typical diet.
Sadly, about 20 minutes ago the button just popped off of my shorts.

Speaking of spreadable things, my parents like pimiento cheese spread every once in a while, but only Price's:

It's funny how some animals are picky. I think a lot of times they just know better than us, and other times, they're just really Jewish or Muslim not wanting bacon.Quote: billryanMy last dog did not like liverwurst. I think he was the only dog I ever met that didn't go crazy over it.
Quote: onenickelmiraclePeanut butter mini-cups from Aldi's. I like Reese's cups, but I think these are really better than them. Surprisingly, they are not lined with paper cups and they are more vertically shaped than horizontally shaped. Maybe the paper and the flatness of Reese's leads to some drying out of the peanut butter cup, which I'm liking so much to be missing in these. What I am saying is the paper draws out moisture and the depth increase compared to surface area of the width leaves less room for moisture to escape through them. Plus the peanut butter is really moist and delicious.
I’ve read that outside of the US, peanutbutter is not common and generally viewed as gross American food.

JIF peanut butter may be one of the most perfect foods.

I prefer natural peanut butters. JIF has molasses. I don't need nor want the extra sugar. Apparently JIF makes a sugar free version, but I don't think that is what you are referring to....

Absolutely not!! I want a sweet peanut butter.

7" diameter and about 9" high.
They were each about the size of a hockey puck and the instructions said to boil them for five minutes and then air fry them for three more. They were okay, but next time I'll skip the air fryer. $15 for a dozen, with a serving suggestion of four per.
For dinner, one of those Hormel refrigerated pot roasts, with about a cup of green beans cooked separately and then added to it.

Thanks for this comment.
It led me to this video: https://youtu.be/taeZWyyv5eU
Then, by coincidence, I was suggested a video of Stephen Colbert interviewing John Oliver, in which Oliver says "The first time my wife went to England, she said 'I can't believe how little peanut butter you have in things here.'"
Tonight I ate pre-cooked pasta, chicken, and vegetables from the Costco refrigerated section. Just heat and eat. It has enough flavor to be decent. You can add parmesan cheese and chili flakes if you want to step it up.

Where did you have them at? What did they taste like?
I didn't actually eat them myself
I'm pretty sure the fried ones are just people doing that - not restaurants
but the chocolate covered ones are being sold by a candy store - see link

Quote: EvenBobI am hooked on this YouTube channel. This Canadian guy travels all over Canada and the US eating at truck stops, gas stations, fast food chain restaurants, and reporting on the food. He's been doing it since 2009 and has almost 2,000 videos. He has over half a million subscribers and makes well over $100,000 a year doing this. I am fascinated with the different kinds of food fast food restaurants now serve because I never go there, ever. I think this guy is the Canadian brother of Drich. They both love this food. I don't know how this guy stays so thin in his fifties, he eats thousands of calories a day sometimes. I watch two or three of his videos everyday.
He was recently on a diet and his weight does go up at times. He likes to fast often between his videos. Also likes to bike ride. However you are right he does eat thousands of calories at a time. I think it is the fasting that keeps things in check.
joints like Taco Bell, Burger King, Wendys, etc. are masters at giving their food flavor - using a concoction of spices and other things
they all have one thing in common - the meat they use - particularly beef - not so much chicken - which is the most expensive part of the sandwich - is cheap, low quality beef
they're hoping the customer will forgive or forget about the low quality beef because of the flavor of the sandwich
and they're right - a great many customers do forgive or forget about the low quality beef
