Oh.

Well, do they have bubble craps in Florida?

Not sure but bubble craps is anything but a social game where ive seen it played. Some slight banter but mostly old men staring at a screen or the bubble

Yes, but given Nathan's enjoyment of slots, bubble craps could be a good fit (without the social aspects, though).

Agreed

Its also a good place to become acquainted with gameplay mechanics before the action of a live table

Now that you mention it, I think I may have seen one at Tampa Hard Rock. I'm not sure if they are available at Nathan's casino (assuming it is not Tampa HR).

I wonder which would be more intimidating for a new player: bubble craps or 'live' craps? If it is a crowded table, live craps would be definitely be more intimidating. But if you could find an empty(-ish) table with helpful dealers, I think it would be better. I think bubble craps, with the plethora of available bet options without explanation (I guess if you drill down through the help pages, you would find bet explanations) and the ticking clock for making/changing bets, may be more intimidating for the first-timer.

I'm not sure what Nathans budget is, but unless Nathan plans on playing in +EV situations I wouldn't think it's a good idea to learn other games.

I have mentioned to her a few times that she should learn about vultureable slot games and there was nothing but crickets. I expected that she would have at least asked what that is or something. Even if she can't play them it would be good to understand the concept and how one would play them.

That was a really generous offer, and a few of us encouraged her, to take you up on that.

Nathan, you should listen to this man, he could make a valuable and memorable difference in your life.

PM'ing would save everyone a lot of grief on the subject though, unless you are just here for the spanking.

For all you Nathan haters out there, consider this:

For some reason this is the most successful WOV thread in quite a while -certainly the most successful non-political thread. There is a lot of energy on here. IMO, this is proof that "the world is stranger than you can possibly imagine."

I did add a little more juice to my gaming, played a Quarter machine! I lost, but I will try it again. It was the equivalent of playing .50 a spin on a penny machine.

I agree 100%. Why suffer a 10% house edge in reeled slots and a very high rate of play when you can get to about 0.5% in craps, depending on the odds allowed, and a slow rate of play?

Still, I'm not sure I've ever converted anybody away from reeled slots.
It's not whether you win or lose; it's whether or not you had a good bet.
