On that subject and assuming you like geek math questions, in a math class we saw a presentation of some guy way back that spent 20 years of something calculating Pi to I forget how many hundred places, only to be wrong about 2/3 of the way thru. Is this something a guy like this did in his spare time? Or maybe he was a professor somewhere and put in a few hours a day.

There’s other more accurate methods of doing it by hand, but this one is probably the most interesting.

I saw a show about the history of pi and how estimates of it kept getting better through years. It is referenced as 3 in the bible.

I'm sure it was an obsession with him. When I was in high school I had the family Apple II computer calculating pi for hours each day. About once an hour the dot matrix printer would spit out another line of them.
There would be a lot of cons to this. Sounds good in some ways, but it's really inefficient. How would you like being paid in band-aids, viagra and cough medicine, then they yell at you because you sold some bandages for only 5 watts of electricity. I tend to be impulsive at times both online and in real life. I also give weird advice and post weird things. Here is a prime example . I once started a thread called,"Why Don't You?" And one of my "Gem advice," tips was, "Why don't you smile really wide when a bus full of people passes by?"
In fact, this certain website keeps threads and posts FOREVER if the thread/post isn't deleted. I found the exact thread I was talking about! :P

On another thread they asked something like,"If we were a family, who would the family Members be? At least one person replied, something like "Nathan would be our eccentric but harmless Aunt! I think the Why Don't You? Thread helped their reply. ;)
I once started a thread on how shopping carts were like driving a car! I said you can push the cart forward, reverse it, park it,steer it, if the wheels run over your feet you are in for a world of pain. I had been sleep deprived when I started this thread and fell asleep shortly after. When I woke up and saw the thread, I thought," What the hell?" LMAO! I had actually forgotten I had started this thread! I explained I was sleep deprived when I started it and even forgot about it after waking up. A poster replied, "I have done weird things while being sleep deprived, but I have never sleep posted! They added a laughing emoticon. LMAO! :D
As it is, it’s now the season of anticipating the emergence of Mojave Max. I hope he doesn’t try to screw us over and emerge at the end of April, that’d be horrible. He’s gotta quit being lazy and get his ass outta his burrow, dang nabbit!

It was an impulse tongue in cheek reference to Kentry since so many people are claiming that I am Kentry despite us CLEARLY being two different people. So I impulsively decided to use a Kentry term as a way of taking the Mick.
