What irritated me was there could be a thread talking about boxers vs briefs and it would turn into a debate about Trump.

Or in your case, what color panties you should wear on Monday.🤣🤣

I think that something like that battlefield could just trigger your moral imagination. We hear about death and tragedy all the time. But occasionally, something causes it to really sink in.

IDK if I've posted my supernatural encounter.

I woke up. I was definitely conscious. (there was never any break in continuity) Sitting up in bed.

I looked over at our closet, which was the kind with the doors that roll side to side. There was a grey alien standing there watching us, about 4 feet tall.

I sat there for a moment processing what I was seeing and concluded that I should attack it. I stood up on the bed, jumped over my girlfriend, with my hands extended, reaching for the alien's neck.

I smashed into the door and knocked it down and this broke whatever weird mental state I was in. I realized that there was no alien.

Whatever state I was in altered not only my perception but my decision making. I think if I saw an alien in a normal state of mind, I would react quite differently.

even though there's no proof of the supernatural scientists cannot explain the origin of the universe
they know a few things - i.e. the big bang theory - but there is much, much more that they don't know
none of them can explain how something came out of nothing

I heard one scientist say that in 100 years we may know the answers - but right now we're not even close

The first night that I stayed at my Mother In Laws house she put me and my wife in her guest bedroom. The guest bedroom was lined with shelves of very old dolls. While laying in bed the dolls kept moving and switching places on the shelves. Occasionally one would dive bomb us in bed. They then started talking to each other and probably plotting to kill us. That will be the last time I drink and take an Ambien before staying in a strange room with dolls.

All Supernatural, Voodoo, Bigfoot, alien stuff IS absolute complete b*******. I have encountered some strange things but I just chalked them up as a being coincidental.

When I was about 18 there was this girl who I was friends with. Me and my buddy were going to go mudding in his four wheel drive real quick before we went out for the night while waiting for her and others to get off of work.
She was very very adamant. She went on and on that she was psychic, and that we shouldn't go because something really bad was going to happen. She actually got a little crazy about the whole situation. So to calm her down we lied and said you were just going to go pick up some beer. She said, that's okay, but don't lie because she was swearing to God something really bad was going to happen if we went muddling.

On the way back from mudding my buddy decided to have me drive since he was pretty lit up by then. I put on my seat belt and made him put on his since he normally never wore a seat belt. It started pouring down rain. With the rain and mud on the tires when I slow down for a corner coming down a hill I lost traction and went off the side of the road down a gully and flipped a vehicle two and a half times. While the vehicle was tumbling in what seemed to be slow motion, what that chick said went through my head at the time. To this day I still just chalk it up it's just coincidence.

How is that a self-fulfilling prophecy when I don't/ didn't even believe in that b*******. It wasn't even my prophecy. I just thought she was being crazy and had some other motivation as to why she didn't want us to go. There's a chance at the time I was thinking she probably thought we would get off doing some other stuff and not come back for her. After we left I didn't think twice about the situation. When I was that age My ultimate goal was to get laid and have as much fun as I possibly could without killing myself or going to jail.

Self fulfilling prophecies don't make the rain start pouring down or cake mud on tires. I can guarantee you I would never even subconsciously do something that would put myself in that much Danger, it would have all been conscious. The fact is I was actually being cautious that night since I was driving his vehicle. For the most part when I was younger there was almost no time I ever obeyed the speed limit or drove cautiously. I'm sure I broke most of the traffic laws are most of the time. I doubt there was ever a time I didn't roast my tires from a slow roll or stop whenever I got the chance. Houdini's best friend's son is actually a very successful advantage player(Rick Radner}. That's related to one of my biggest mistakes in gambling I had ever made(I'm the reason he decided to stay in Las Vegas and pursue to Advantage play here).

From my understanding, he eventually got all the memorabilia and whatnot from the Houdini Fortune, or at least the proceeds from it.

I'm not 100% sure how it all went down since I distance myself from him being that he was so very difficult to deal with and a pretty big a****** to others.

He was always telling me that his dad was best friends with Houdini and he would one day inherit everything. At the time, it was just noise to me, not that I didn't believe him or anything, I just didn't care. I remember he had called me years latter upset and pissed off claiming his dad was leaving him out of the will. Probably because he owed me a bunch of money. I was told that all worked out in the end for him but that's only second and 3rd hand knowledge.

anybody ever visited the Gettysburg, PA battlefield memorial?
I've been there several times
more than 50,000 soldiers died there in 3 days of fighting

walking around that battlefield I feel something - every time - maybe restless uneasy souls

I'm not a believer in the supernatural - but I cannot deny what I felt

maybe my imagination triggered the feeling - and there is really nothing there - that is very possible - who knows?

Been there a couple dozen times. I've experienced feelings there I never have before. Almost spiritual. I saw something in Devils Den my first trip when I was ten. There is an old farm just outside town that was a field hospital of last resort for those beyond saving. They allow camping on occasion.

I was thinking. I keep some of my $ in sports betting accounts. Nobody but me really knows this. It's not some secret. Now people here know. I just never really thought to tell anyone.

What if I croaked? I'm going to tell my family so they can go dig it out now. But what if you didn't?

I guess the same would apply to other money in casinos. If nobody ever comes in and picks it up, do they just keep it forever? If so, how often does that happen?

There must be hundreds of people who have died with money on the sports betting apps by now. Many of them probably actively hid it from their families.

I am not positive but I believe dormant casino accounts in Nevada get reported to the state if they can't get a hold of the individual.

Many years ago I got a call from Mandalay Bay casino asking me if I wanted to continue keeping my money on account as I hadn't accessed it in over five years. It was a rather small amount, less than $2k, that I had forgot about.

I would assume the sportsbook accounts would work the same way.

This was a topic on the eac Facebook group that I argued with someone about. In NJ if the account goes dormant for 12 months the casino gets to keep the money. Some guy was pissed because they sent him an email that said he was losing his money if he didnt play in 48 hours. He thought it was BS and I argued that yes it sucks but its in the terms. He even said he was in AC a few weeks prior and djdnt think about it. So in NJ un used money goes to the casino.

In PA it goes to a state holding for unclaimed money.

Did they have to make new laws to address TITO tickets? I assume laws often aren't specific enough to cover new instances of unclaimed money and casinos do whatever they like until then.
There's no secret. Just know what you're talking about before you open your mouth.

Are you f****** kidding me??
I don't care if it's in the terms or not, that should be illegal. Do you have any links regarding any of this including any terms and conditions and what online casino you're talking about?

Here's some more b*******, if you deposit cash at the cage in New Jersey for their online casinos they can make you wait up to 72 hours before you can withdraw your cash at the cage. So if you have a two or three day trip to New Jersey that doesn't give you much time to play if you want to be sure to get your money out before you leave. I thought regulating online casinos was supposed to get rid of all the b******* you had to go through versus playing at unregulated online casinos. They're letting the same crooks that run unregulated casinos run the online casinos.

I don't disagree that it is BS but my point was it was published so sometimes people need to take personal responsibility.

I will dig up the link later on.

I found it quicker than I thought.

I was also wrong about the time frame. It is if your account is inactive for 2 years not 1. And they did not give any warning. They sent an email that said the following

"This notice is to inform you that your Borgata online gaming account associated with this email address is considered inactive s no activity has been recorded for 2 years.
In accordance with NJ gaming enforcement regulations and our TAC any remaining funds in this account will be considered dormant and the funds will be forfeited"

So the part that I think is ridiculous on the B is there was no warning prior. Maybe a 30 day notice? They also have the persons home address so why cant they just cut a check and send it?

The part of the customer that is at fault. This is written in their TAC (at least they are saying it is but since it is like 90 pages long none of us read the entire thing) and it has been 2 years. He had plenty of time to get the money out. You should never leave the money in there that long anyways. You can also cash out once out of state, you just cant wager while out of state so there was an opportunity to get the money.

If you came to my house for a weekend and left money behind, I'd consider it abandoned after two years.
If I left something in a hotel room, I wouldn't expect it to there two years later.
At some point, people need a little personal responsibility.

Lincoln County, home to much of Area 51 , is preemptively declaring a state of emergency for the weekend of September 20th.
Authorities there believe there is a good possibility outsiders may overwhelm the services the rural county can provide.
They will be issuing warnings to anyone entering Lincoln County that basic needs, such as food and gas will not be available, nor are there hotels or campgrounds to fit the tens of thousands they now expect.

What if I give you money to hold for me, or we enter into some kind of business deal . During that time I have some tragic accident. Should you be able to just keep my money and say, oh well, too bad so sad?

The proper thing for the casinos to do is to send the money to the state under unclaimed property and close your account. I might be willing to accept some type of a fair processing or maintenance fee, or whatever you want to call it. Maybe the bank should be able to confiscate your money if you don't have any activity.
What about utility companies, maybe they should be able to keep your money.
I really don't get it. Most businesses do not engage in this type of shady practice. I really don't understand why casinos, who for the most part, are already raping peoples wallets can get away with this.

I can't believe you or anyone else thinks it's remotely acceptable for a business to keep someone's money just because of inactivity, especially a casino.

Now here's the thing, I actually had over $1,000 sitting in an unregulated online casino for about 5 years that I totally forgot about for one reason or another(Casino Grand Bay, who went from a good reputation, to a very bad reputation I think they're on "probation" as of now) after little playing and running my account up even further they actually paid me the other day. So if a unregulated offshore online casino with a bad reputation can pay me after 5 years with no activity, please explain to me why a state regulated online casino what are you even think about confiscating someone's money?
I've lost over $5,000 due the casinos scummy b******* and expired tickets during a bad time in my life while having a series of surgeries. I'm not claiming that was the only reason I didn't get it done on time ,but it was part of it.
All this stuff is super scummy, and this is exactly why I sleep well at night doing what I do. #triggered.

What does that have to do with anything? After very little or no sleep I was up at 2:30 in the morning after someone plowed into three parked cars including mine. Then I spent the day trying to take care of that and other things. I dozed off in the evening time and woke up a few hours ago. I'm still not sure what time I'm posting has anything to do with Casinos scamming money from people.

If one sleeps well at night, it precludes them from posting. Ipso facto- people posting at night do not sleep well.

And you do realize "I sleep well at night" is a figure of speech? Kind of like saying, I won't lose any sleep tonight.

You're smart guy, so I think you know that. I can only assume you realize your analogy wasn't very good, and you secretly agree with me, but instead of saying that.... you decided to be funny.

I love to joke around, just not when it comes to the casinos f****** over players.

If it is in their "terms of service" and a player agrees to it, I then think it is okay
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.
