Do you dream about gambling in your sleep? Ever had a gambling nightmare?

In my dream last night, they had carpeted Fremont street and moved the table games out into the middle of the street. At the craps table, there was a dispute amongst the dealers-- the stickman called the roll "Six!" but the other dealer insisted it was a hard 8. (It was a hard 8.) The point was 5, and no one had any money on the 6 or 8, so the dispute was irrelevant, but it made for a weird scene. The stickman was stubborn and wouldn't admit he was wrong. I don't remember much else about the dream, except that Fremont Street looked very clean and the cocktail service was excellent.

I've logged in many hours at blackjack and roulette, and yet all of my dreams seem to occur at a craps table. Interestingly, I never dream about big wins or big losses, just playing the game.

I voted that I regularly dream about gambling, but that's only when I'm on a gambling trip where sleep is less important to me. If I've been playing Blackjack a lot on a trip, I'll usually dream of continuous shoes. Mind you, the outcomes are about the same as what they would be on a table (Like I don't get a huge number of 20s in my dreams, I bust most of the 16s etc.).

Occasionally I have poker dreams too, though those are less frequent. I'm a very active dreamer though.

I've had a very similar dream, except the table was in a run down parking lot.. I was throwing, and the dice flew off the table, bouncing a dozen times or so 20 yards away and the stickman CALLED THE NUMBER, it was a winning number too. That was the first one. I've had several dreaming about playing and winning money on dice, but nothing crazy, just that I could comfortably take money from the table by rolling lots of numbers.

I play at some local game rooms that use very old machines called Pot O' Gold, that are multi-game. I usually play the Keno game that has a "superball", where if one of your numbers is the last one picked by the machine your win is multiplied by 4.

I've dreamt about seeing all my numbers all light up, one by one, and getting the superball too. It's not that I've never done it when I was actually playing, but for some reason in my dreams I always win a lot more.

I always seem to have a dream where I hit one or more jackpots in high limit video slots. Then later I wake up and say "dammit!"
I do not play often in real life, but I do watch my family play frequently.

Never had a dream where I'm actually gambling. I consistently have dreams where I am walking in and through some exotic casino with bizarre attributes like glass walls and ceilings and beautiful decor. It's always located on a beautiful beach. This is ironic considering the fact that 99 percent of my live gambling takes place at the Las Vegas Club and the Four Queens, sigh, FML.

Last night I had a dream about hitting it big on a $5 slot machine. I remember the attendants coming over and paying me out in hundred dollar bills. Then I woke up. Yes I do dream about gambling all the time.

Back to the question. I also dream about gambling. Not too often though.

I actually had a pretty vivid gambling dream a couple weeks ago where I was dreaming that I was playing Let It Ride and actually hit the Royal Flush. Knowing full well that this is quite literally a million to one shot, I said in my dream "this has to be a dream, there's no way that this is real". After what felt like a substantial amount of time and my friends punching me in an attempt to convince me that I wasn't dreaming, I was approached by casino security who verified the legitimacy of the hand and counted out my winnings. I reached out for the money and as I was just about to pick it up and hold it, I woke up.

The worst.

In a related topic, has anyone ever experienced lucid dreams before where you are fully aware that you are dreaming? I have actually had a few of these as well and am fully aware that I am dreaming so I just start to do things that I would never do in real life.

After a weekend in Vegas, I usually dream about shooting dice for several nights in a row. That's about it, I don't recall having too many blackjack dreams, if any.

During the Mega Millions craziness, I dreamt several times that I won the jackpot, and I had one very clear dream where I won the second prize (5 numbers but no MegaWhatever number).

Is craps your favorite game? Or is blackjack your favorite game? I've spent many nights playing blackjack, but my favorite game is craps and so craps is the only casino game that I ever dream about.

Craps is definitely my favorite game, which is the main reason I've pretty much given up serious advantage play. I like gambling too much. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good game of beatable blackjack, especially if I'm counting well and reaping the rewards, but if I'm in Vegas I'm usually partying, and after a lot of drinks, I can't really focus on counting anymore. So yeah, I usually end up playing way more craps and thus end up dreaming about it more.

I had a precognition once.

I was dreaming that I played VP in an European casino (it had windows). Suddenly I hit a royal flush of clubs. The next morning I played VP in an online casino and I hit that same royal flush. Such a weird situation!

That's like my recurring dream: I'm in Vegas for business. The first night I'm tired and turn in without gambling figuring I have days to gamble. Then business takes over, and I never make it to the tables. Ack!

Funny thing is that I never go to Vegas on business.

Strangely enough...
Friday night I had a dream that we won $1700 on a 1c "50 Lions" slot...however, the BONUS round (where we won the money) WASN'T a "50 Lions", but it was a "Sun & Moon" (50 free spins with all 5 symbols)...my granma was the one who hit it, but I was right there with her...
So saturday morning I got up and said we HAVE to play a penny slot...never made it to a penny slot, but I did hit a $2000 royal!

Due to career and family obligations, I don't gamble that much these days: in 2012, I visited Nevada just 5 times, and probably lost a total of about $400 (mostly on craps). And yet... I dream about casinos every night. Last night I had a vivid dream about The Mirage.

That's supposed to be one of those dreams that 'everybody' has and is supposed to reflect concerns about how people feel about you, I think. Never got it myself. The only 'everybody gets it' dream I have is the one where you're looking for the bathroom and can't find one... Or, worse yet, you DO manage to find one in your dreams...

Not much dreaming of gambling, although, usually when I do repetitive hours of something it is more likely ending up in a dream. For instance when I worked a hamburger joint in college I sometimes dreamt of flipping burgers. And dreaming of working sucks double. It's like, not even a break.

I have a routine to dream about craps games, or more lately about specific craps bets and wins before every up coming trip. I go to sleep consciously thinking about these things, hoping to induce a positive dreaming experience. I had dreamt about making a $1000 bet on the 4 or 10, and getting paid, before my trip last August. That tip I did get the spot to make that bet, which I did, and I did get paid on it. I feel having gone through the positive experience in my dreams, helps me be able to navigate the same positive experience for real.

I'm not so much of a crack pot that I believe I can make things happen by dreaming about them, or forcing them to happen with my mind. The way I see it, it costs me nothing to have these positive mental exercises. I have no clue if they really work or not, but they certainly can't hurt. I know some people are fanatical believers in the power they hold. I am not part of that group.

So you may be asking, how does someone who seems to have an otherwise sound mind get sucked into this ether world? It started a few years ago, way before I started any of this sort of thinking.

I had an upcoming trip to Tunica and one night had a very vivid dream about playing craps. This was not an induced dream. I had never really dreamt about gambling before. In the dream, I had $10 on the fire bet (I play the fire bet about 50% of the time, but usually for $5 or less). I went on a big roll and got to the point where I need a 4 or 10 as my 5th point. With my rack full from the other points, and $250 coming for the fire bet, I Bought the 4 for $250, active on the Come out, and I roll a 4. I make the 4 for the 5th point. Now I need the 10 point for the Fire Bet. With a full rack and lots of money already on the layout, I bought the 10 for $500, active on the come out roll. I roll a 10 to set the 6th point. Since I already have a $1250 win locked in, I leave the $500 Buy bet on the 10, throw $200 on the Hard Ten, and of course, I rolled 5-5. HUGE PAYDAY. That was when I woke up. I remembered the dream, but thought nothing more of it. We left on the trip to Tunica a few days later.

I am playing craps late one night, with my buddy, and I start rolling points. Pretty soon I have 4 numbers down, only the 4 and 10 left to get. Finally I manage to set the 4 for the point, and make it. FIVE POINTS, I need the 10. HOLY SHIT! It hits me. This is my dream! Uh, not quite. I AM NOT on the fire bet for $10, or even $5. I am not on the fire bet at all! And I have been making points, but I have not been betting heavy, so I don't have $500 to throw on the Buy 10. So I Buy the 10 for $100, active on the Come out, but I am feeling sick to my stomach. What if I roll a 10, and set the point? What if I make the 10? I will have just missed out on a $12,000 payday by the time you factor in the Buy 10 from my dream and the $200 hardway. etc. I ended up not making the 10, BUT that roll was damn near exactly what my dream had been 4 days before we left to go on that trip!

Who knows, if I had $5 or $10 on the Fire bet, would I have ended up making that 10 point instead? I remember almost thinking I did NOT want to make that point and have to deal with the disappointment I would surely go through.

I've heard it said that you only remember the last dream you had before you wake up, so maybe so, but finally waking up this morning I can say for sure I have dreamed about gambling!

Last night I was playing Craps in my sleep, and as is typical with my dreams, things were a little weird. I don't remember placing any bets or handling the dice myself. Each shooter just threw the dice right down in front of him, trying to make a point without going through a Come-out roll first it seemed. As we watched the dice would land normally, but then one die would contort in some way so that it was a 7-out. Somehow the dissatisfaction of this was acknowledged by the crew, but no one was yelling; the crew tried to say it was all normal. My dream seemed to wander off into some stuff that made no sense, but came back around to the same scenario. This time it was as if my brain had to find the reason the dice could cheat like that, and as I looked closely, right as the dice settled down the careful observer could see that the table vibrated to agitate the dice a little more. If you've ever seen bubble Craps generate dice throws, it was like that, except very subtle. At that point I woke up.

After waking up, I'm thinking, I shoulda played the Darkside!! [g]

I know I've had at least one dream in which I was gambling, but I don't seem to recall what I was playing or the result. I don't remember much about any of my dreams, except for being a terrible driver, which is a recurring theme. For instance, last night I had a dream where I hit three different cars while trying to get into the same parking spot, I gave up on that spot and went to go park beside Lowe's...the first spot was at a restaurant, which was my destination...anyway, my power steering went out completely, as did my brakes, and I hit two more cars at Lowe's and then went over this little hill.

I finally got all of that situated and my power steering started to work again, so I drove off. I don't know why I drive off in dreams or why I am such a God-awful driver. IRL, I'm an average driver and I'd never drive off if I hit a parked car or anything else.

My gambling dreams only happen when I'm on a casino trip and I've played way beyond being tired. They pick up with the symbols on the slot or the cards, which come alive and start moving around me. They don't talk, and I'm the only one who can see them, but they hang around for a while no matter what else is going on in the dream. Then they go away and I sleep dreamless, but wake up early and ready to go again. I don't think there's any significance other than having concentrated too hard on them trying to stay awake the session before.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

I've had recurring dreams of being in Las Vegas, but it is nothing like Las Vegas.

Only large, old Victorian houses with many rooms, stairwells and hallways, each room with an old school group of guys standing at an empty table.

Never any slots.

So last night I had a pretty detailed dream about getting barred from all CET properties that I think I can mostly still remember.

The dream started and a casino employee was showing me some kind of cash reward or voucher that I had won, but not cashed in. I was dubious because it was from a previous trip and I told him I made sure to claim all of my rewards on that trip (never mind the parts of this dream that aren't 100% realistic, it was a dream after all).

He kept pointing to where it said you needed to show ID, and I could tell he was trying to get me to give him my driver's license. I realized what was happening and basically just started walking away. It gets a little hazy here, but I was waiting for an elevator in a parking garage and it was taking FOREVER, and I could see some suits with earpieces walking toward me - I was feeling like a backroom was coming but finally the elevator came.

I get to my car in the parking garage (in the self-park section), and the valet has double-parked some tiny sedan behind my SUV, clearly to block my escape. The owners of the sedan happened to show up right about then and were like "we didn't double-park you" and I was like "yeah I know, it isn't your fault." At this point the original guy catches up with me and we drop the pretense and I tell him I'm not giving him my DL and he says that I have won over $60,000 counting cards at various CET properties that year. LOL, I wish! The funny thing is I have only counted cards ONCE at a CET property in real life, at the Bally's S17 pit a couple of years ago, and I lost $1400.

Anyway it becomes more genial at this point, and he tells me I've been barred from all CET properties, and for some reason I ask if I can get it in writing. He produces some sheet of paper that has all the casinos I've been barred from on it, and adds CET to the list and signs it and gives me a copy (nothing like this exists in real life, of course). Amusingly Main Street Station was on the list, where I got barred during the 2013 WoV Spring meetup.

I hope someone is mildly amused by my stupid dream. Weird that I had such a detailed one when I haven't gambled since February 2015.

I think it's sweet that, while you haven't commented in ages, you come here to post about it. Welcome back; nice to see you!

Yes, welcome back. I tend to have a few gambling dreams usually in my dreams, I win. Or at least make better decisions than when I was actually at the tables.

I think we all have "dreams"... in the sense of hopes and aspirations that involve winning. After all, who would step up to a negative expectation game and hope to lose simply because of a mathematical expectation. We all hope to win, that the CW will bring us loads or really good booze and that the dice we are about to use will wind up on a red velvet pillow in some display case.

Thanks, haven't done much gambling recently. The aforementioned Feb 2015 trip was my last to Vegas, and I hit up the Indiana Grand fall of 2016 and posted here about how disappointed I was (all machines, no tables).

Vegas is much further away and more expensive flights since we moved to the east coast and I have an 8-month old daughter who, obviously, takes up a lot of my time now :). Probably won't be around much but I knew if anyone would appreciate a recap of my dream, it would be y'all here at WoV.

Usually when I get home from a Vegas trip I dream about cards and dice for a couple of nights, but this was the first one in a while and a new theme.

Dreams about casinos are all unpleasant. Subconscious trying to tell you something, trying to get you ready for anticipated events.

Had a dream many moons ago I was playing blackjack with a bunch of super whales. I was betting $5 a hand and they were all betting several million per hand. They were getting crushed and ready to leave, pit boss then told the dealer to give all the players a bunch of $25k to $100k+ chips, to reimburse them a bit for their big losses. So dealer was literally throwing chips up in the air and we were all catching them. I remember thinking, wow, I just made at least 1-2 million dollars, this is awesome!

Then I woke up and it took a while to figure out it was just a dream and that I hadn't made a few million the night before.

But some day, some day it'll happen....

Recently I noticed casino nightmares I think due to a few issues I have with the casino. I'm procrastinating about them, hope it's not too late, but if it is, so be it. I'm not getting screwed by anyone and paying them unless they're a 7 at least.😎

Last night I dreamt that I was playing in the WSOP main event. At my first table were a couple of my coworkers. We were having some delay for some reason starting the round, I think because they were having some kind of issue distributing the chips.

I told my coworkers that I didn't have a lot of poker experience so please excuse my ignorance if I did stuff wrong (string bets, not betting in the right multiples, etc.). And in my head in the dream I was thinking "why did I throw away ten grand on this entry when I don't know WTF I'm doing?"

Why can't I dream about winning at blackjack or craps? I don't even really like poker.
