Quote: RonCI read up on this a bit after someone declared it as fact. The statements that some Dems involved made at the time seemed to stop shy of saying the knew he lied some "thought that he may have lied"...While I am sure Schiff is happy to get the information to the prosecutor, gloating may not be in order quite yet.
How would Congress know for sure he lied? They didn't have what Mueller has, and Mueller didn't have.what they had..Until today. So I don't see any Congress person of any persuasion saying on camera anything for sure. And Mueller doesn't indict on rumors and heresay. But those are out there, and there does seem to be something to them.
It will be nice for all the facts to be centralized so things can either be dispelled or confirmed.
Quote: EvenBobSpeaking of Mueller, Rush said something
interesting yesterday. He's heard from so
many inside sources that Mueller long ago
turned over the investigation to Weisman,
that he's starting to believe it. After Mueller
realized there was no 'there' there, he got
bored and handed off the ball.
It wasn't a story Rush did, it was just an
interesting aside at the end of a segment.
But for Rush to even mention it means
there's probably a lot of the truth there.
Rumor, innuendo, and spin. That's what Rush offers. Facts are few and far between with him.
I'll wait for Mueller's report.
Quote: ams288Because Don Jr. lied to Congress, and the GOP refused to send the transcripts of his testimony to Mueller. Today that changed. Thanks, Dems.
He should have just did what HRC did and pretend not to know anything about anything

Actually, no. Having listened to him
since 89, he's very careful in what
he says. Think the opposite of CNN/MS.
He can be wrong occasionally, but the
times he's right are overwhelming. It's
why we listen. Who wants to tune in to
constant wrong info. Besides CNN/MS
viewers, that is.
What's striking is, nobody ever listens
to Rush every day for a month and says
he's full of crap. They have the opposite
reaction. This is why he terrifies the Left.

It doesn't happen often, but I agree with EvenBob.Quote: EvenBobImagine how this played across America.
The Dem women in white applauding

Big mistake on their part.
It's like they were being robbed at gunpoint and when they opened their purses, they found a winning lottery ticket and started whooping and cheering. There's a few words I could use to describe those Democrat Ladies, but I'd have to ban myself. Henceforth, to be called a 'New female Democrat member of congress' will be considered a strong personal insult $;o)

It's like their Daddy Trump gave them

give this kind of reaction to ANY

Again, I almost fully agree, certainly about the bit where they reacted as though trumpy owned them.Quote: EvenBobIt's like their Daddy Trump gave them

But I don't agree about it being about personal hatred. It was just tactically wrong on so many levels. It gave encouragement to their adversary. It will have emboldened him and fueled and encouraged him to KNOW that he could manipulate them. It showed them to be fools who he'll now chip away at and try to bring further and further under his control. It surely sent the same messages to the Dem voters and donors that put their faith in these women and would probably weaken their standing with their own supporters.
They may have been trying to cheer at their own victories, but they gave that cheer to trumps speech. That's oxygen to the master showman.
Kudos to trumpy's speech writers. Clearly not him, because it was oh so measured. I think clearly not Miller either. I wonder if he got the writers of some PR company or some soap opera to write it. Maybe even faxed direct from the Russian embassy. He read it well, IMHO. I doubt he cared or even knew what was in it.

This is Trump's brilliance. He's the master

I said she is a LIAR. You brought Congress and fake new up as a sad defense. Maybe she is suffering from PTSD from landing under sniper fire in Bosnia ??? Then running with her head down to escape in waiting vehicles. 100 news sources that covered her trip never mentioned it. All right wings papers I assume.
and these 2 right wing newspapers too

It's the lie itself that's important. She
lied about her heritage for decades
to get jobs, to get more benefits,
to get promoted, to get elected.
She's a joke now, if she continues

think we would buy her 'maw-maw

fly? How dumb is this woman..

Trump lied plenty to get ahead. Trump University. Payed women off to keep quiet so he didn't have to reveal it to America. I hate to think how many things he's done that are tied to lying and getting ahead.
I think his business problems are eventually going to go beyond lying about things. Were that were the worst of it. You have to be really naïve to believe otherwise.

Is saying you are an Indian considered an advantage in Oklahoma or Texas? The people who hired her have all stated her ethnicity had nothing to do with her getting the job. Do you think she was elected Senator because voters were fooled into voting for the Native American?
I don't usually bother responding to your foolishness, but I'd love to see how your thought process works. Where did she benefit by her claiming to be a NA?

In Texas in 1986, I'd be surprised it helped her at all. May have even hurt her.
I have been told by my mother that I have a bit of American Indian ancestry. But ive never claimed it on a form either. Considering i'm pasty white, the percentage surely can't be very much.

The father of my nieces and nephew was 1/4 Cherokee. It seemed evident to some extent.
None of them look the slightest bit Cherokee in terms of features or skin color. But they are indisputably 1/8 by heritage.
I don't know why it matters to anyone, in the end. Except those to whom it did brought on themselves the affirmative action regulations that make it matter now, I guess.

I thought about throwing this in my original post too, but changed my mind. Now your post changed my mind again. There was a girl in my high school that said she was 1/16th Cherokee, but definitely looks like what most people would consider as "white".
Ironically, she is one of the last people I've seen from my high school. Completely random meeting outside of a JCPenney's earlier this decade.
The Vegas trip that I met the Wizard, I intentionally met up with another guy from my HS on the trip who was in town at the same time. And then I randomly bumped into a guy I taught in grad school in the same trip! Crazy!

American Idol was also the number one
television show for a decade. Just because
a show is rated highly doesn't make it good.
It just is popular.
Katy Perry has the most Twitter followers.
Kim Kardashian has 126,000,000 followers on Instagram.
Rush and his ilk are listened to the fourth most (behind
2 NPR news shows) because of his network.
Just like 20,000+ posts on a forum doesn't
mean equate to anything except that you've
posted here a lot.

Nonetheless of course it matters. Certainly Pocohantas thought she was getting an advantage by putting the extreme minority on the form, and it will factor in greatly to her run. "Integrity" and political correctness will run rampant in a democratic campaign and this is one mortal wound. Just like franken had to resign for grabbing a boob before he was a senator, Warren will not get the nomination because of this. Context of party matters. You can't equate GOP actions to Dem actions because the standards are different.
Bringing it back to Trump, the SOTU was fine. My best hope for him is that he does things that turn out to be populist, like getting DACA done (for his border fence) and that he fulfills the parental leave statement. Quite honestly 5.7B is nothing. Hopefully they get to a point where both sides can claim "victory" for their base.

I'm sure she was thinking far beyond
Texas, she was already laying the
groundwork to get a job at Harvard.
I'm sure they saw her law license
application with Native American
on it. They would also know, like
Ace said, lying it is a crime in most
places, so it must be true that she
really is Native American.

it very much mattered. She told everybody
about her heritage and even contributed to a
Native American cookbook with recipes
she stole from an expensive NYC restaurant.
Her and Joe Biden, stealing from others and
calling it their own.
"Warren concocted her claims of Cherokee heritage to achieve minority status to help her get faculty jobs through university diversity hiring policies. Like her Sixties campus forbears, she figured out in early adulthood that kinship with oppressed minorities is the antidote to white guilt and the ticket to a perpetual state of self-righteousness and victimization."

I can't figure out why anybody would want
the faux Indian to be president. She's
disliked in the Senate by both sides because
she has a caustic big mouth. She hasn't

And she'll be 70 in a few months, and looks
every year of it. She looks old and tired. She'll
