What's your issue with the dossier?
It was opposition research contracted for by the Republicans during the primaries.
When Trump prevailed anyway, it was shopped to the Democrats, who apparently bought in.
It has not all been confirmed or verified...yet...that we know of. But what has been confirmed has been independently verified as true, and none has been disproven.
So, I'm not sure what you think you're throwing in anyone's face here. But I suspect you won't much like where it ultimately leads.

Trump was not very concerned with the truth when he promised hard evidence that Obama, who was also YOUR president, was not American born.
Being President means that some people aren’t going to like you, and some of those people are going to tell lies about you.
It was opposition research, paid for by members of BOTH parties (isn’t that why Trump mini said he took the meeting with the Russian’s?). I’d agree that calls into question the validity of the info, but it doesn’t prove anything other than it was opposition research, which we already knew.

The righties were giddy last night at the revelation that the DNC/Clinton campaign..... paid for opposition research.
*gasp*
The GOP is just biding its time until the mid-terms next year. It's clear a lot of them hate Trump, but they're falling in line for now because they're too scared to lose their constituents. Once the mid-terms happen, they're going to turn on a dime. If they retain control of Congress, they will immediately begin grooming someone to run against Trump for 2020. If they lose control of one of the houses, they'll use that as an additional excuse that Trump needs to go, because we all know if the GOP loses their majority, absolutely nothing is going to get done under Trump. Trump is going to flounder and panic, and he'll want to start cutting deals with the Dems. I would even give a small percent chance he'll want to run on the Democratic ticket for 2020. It's still too early in the game for the GOP to bail on Trump, but it's going to happen, starting next year.
Either way, Trump is a one-and-done President.

I've heard all of that about every President since Clinton. It probably goes back before that, but Clinton seems to be where it really picked up steam. Don't forget about declaring martial law during an election year so he can stay on for a third term; that's a popular bit with conspiracy theorists, too.

In the 2016 election thread there were righties who floated the idea that Obama would somehow hold on to power for a third term.
None of them were willing to put their money where their mouths were though when I offered to bet on it... :/

Election years really bring out the conspiracy crazies. I remember in 2008 somebody GUARANTEEING me that Hillary Clinton would become president and immediately start a war with Iran. I also remember people saying Bush would declare martial law, cancel the elections, open up hundreds of FEMA camps across the country, lock up millions of people, kill them, and bury their remains in FEMA coffins.
And of course, like you said, nobody is ever willing to bet money on these things.... haha....

I don't remember you offering a bet (honestly, much of the time I just skim whatever nonsense is in your posts) but I certainly wouldn't have made a bet with you, someone whom I've never met and AFAIK neither has anyone else here. I would have taken a bet on Obama running for office for a third term (or done something to try to be president for 3 terms), contingent on him serving two terms, shortly after he was first elected. I didn't think it was very likely, but given the proper odds, I think I would have taken that bet with someone I trust to pay.
