In this article, it mentioned "The casino claims the technique, called edge sorting, violates New Jersey casino gambling regulations."
Can the MSN news do a better job to cite which regulations? I really have no clue about that. If so, can the casino put a sign somewhere saying "Card counting and edge sorting are illegal and you will be arrested".
The media always refers the card counters as cheats. Because of that, a lot of people believe it is illegal. Are the media really that ignorant about the laws and too lazy to do the research on the topic? Or they are sponsored by the big casinos. They have to make people believe that we are the bad guys.

Matter of opinion, seriously. It doesn't matter what "people think." One can comment on the yahoo new articles in the same thread. Hire PR.

Maybe we should in certain ways. One solution is to create more search-engine friendly information regarding to this matter. For example, Colin's Blackjack Apprenticeship website did explain why card counting is legal.
Quote: KickassPaigowdan, it does matter about how general public think. If the majority believe the advantage play is morally wrong and illegal, then there will be a law to prohibit it. If Ken Uston and the other APs did not file the lawsuit against the casinos, everyone might still believe it is OK for the casinos to beat up the card counters.
