Even easier, just reboot your cable or DSL modem. Works for almost any ISP; you'll get a new IP address when it comes back up. If you're fancy enough to have a static IP set up with your ISP, then you probably know how to use a proxy to get around the IP check.
Or just go to the library.
There is no end of ways to get around IP checks, but they are a useful tool in the moderator's tool box.

Whereas my first and only suspension was for 7 days for the same offense of personal insult.
According to the "martingale policy," shouldn't "HotBlonde" be suspended for 28 days, if a first offense for a personal insult gets a 7-day suspension?
Also, is it not forum policy to consider the positives a member adds when evaluating suspensions? How could "HotBlonde" gain anything in this area when she never posts anything on the topic of gambling, and most of her posts seem to be geared toward gaining unearned attention and manufacturing unnecessary drama?
I trust these are appropriate questions to ask, considering this is the "discussion about the suspension list" thread.

That's the thing that pisses me off (if I may, for emphasis only) for the most part. The vast majority of the bans I have to toss out involve threads/post that have nothing to do with gambling, so I'm basically policing a bunch of crap that is superfluous to our intent and what we should actually want to convey in the first place.
