It seems to me to be a bit of a stretch.

Just goes to show that no matter what I do, I get criticized.

Mike, this precisely why I don't post much anymore. Seems anything and everything posted these days is just waiting to be pounced on by a select few members. I just read for entertainment now and keep to myself.

I agree too. WIZARD doesn't fix this problem.

I would have went If he was willing to Bet some money on his system. However I don't know how often a progressive betting system should work VS how often it will fail. I only know it fails in the long run... I use progressive betting systems occasionally online when using bonuses or dealing with wagering requirements. Is there some kind of chart One can look at that have the various percentages of success using progressive betting systems like martingale ? In short sessions I believe it has a high rate of success if you walk away when you are a head a few units.

Be careful when saying those words ON HIS SYSTEM AXELWOLF. You might get banned for this soliciting. Especially saying this on Vegas forum

vermenti -- soliciting -- second time offender -- 14 day suspension.

"Soliciting?"

I don't see that proscribed behavior listed in the Forum Rules.

Perhaps I overlooked it?

It's not "free advertising," per se, as in context it seems that he made the offer only to prove a point.

As for "Keep it Legal:" his offer seems to be no more illegal than the bets escrowed / made between members on this site.

Which would seem to leave "Betting systems;" it seems to me that that would be a stretch.

Curious.

looks like same thing in relation to WIZARD and MISSION with Macdonald foods.

looks like soliciting in this forum but they do not suspend each other. how does the other people get away with broken rules and they are still here.

It's all about context.

[snip]

True, just reading the guy's posts makes me grate my teeth and want to punch something, but if that were cause for suspension the board's most prolific poster would have been consigned to Davy Jones' locker long ago.

1) He posted a message in the "Mission: Nuggets" thread offering to book bets against Mission while giving up 3-1 odds. But as soon as 3 people agreed to the bet, he rescinded the offer.

2) He then said that he would pay a total of $1,000 to ten members if Mission eats 100 McNuggets, and also stated that he would send the Wizard $1,000 to hold until 12/21. But, of course, he canceled that one, too.

3) He continually said that people are welcome to watch him play baccarat at Fallsview Casino in Canada, but as soon as a member took him up on the offer, he posted at least 3 messages telling the member to give him $5,000.

If anything, this guy deserves to get nuked, not left alone.

My take on the "classes" post was that it was obviously sarcastic and not to be taken seriously. But then again I am still scratching my head for people who do pay others money to learn how to take more risks with their money.

The Wizard's ENTIRE website is all about how to get the best deal gambling in Vegas. And he doesn't charge anything.

Why does ANYONE need to pay someone to learn how to lose less money?

Even if you paid someone to learn how to advantage play, I would think that an apprenticeship would be the way to go. That was the teacher has incentive to teach you how to make money so that you can both share in the spoils. You shouldn't have to pay someone who knows how to make money with advantage plays at the casino IMO. Work for them while you're learning, I can understand. Pay them while you get taught many things you can learn elsewhere, bad idea to me personally.

But yeah, I took his post as something like this:

Hello, for once I have to disagree with WIZARD.
you made an error in judgement, they butched varmenti in his own thread. the members pushed his buttons and after reading his posts, I see the 5000 was deposit and 5 days of gambling totaling 5000 plus profit is return to the NOVICEGAMBLER.

After reading even more it was NOVICEGAMBLER who was soliciting varmenti by offering him 15000.
Sorry WIZARD but you are wrong.
You should answer to the butcher guys on here.

varmenti sits my table with his sweet wife when they play and they are very sweet couples. they don't deserve treatment here like this.

Hey Lilchef62 - I made a bet with Varmenti, I wasn't selling anything. And if you have read the thread you would notice I have offered the bet after he wated to charge me $5000

I am sorry but I have to defend him and his wife, i don't know what you are bragging about but these people are so nice. Yes they lose money when they played my table tonight but did not stay long and they have smiles when they come to my table before leaving to say goodnight to me personally.

you people just butcher his gaming ways. Yes i too think they bet wrongly but they have much fun every time i see them. I defend them in many ways. They are good people.

You should please go ahead and read what my first post was. Varmenti had posed on the forum that he would like people to come and watch him play and posted his number. I called him couple of times and no response. Hence I posted on the forum and asked him when he would like to meet. Thats when he started behaving shady and said first he cant meet on Tuesday coz of some Apple event and then started asking for $5000 deposit.

If he didnt wanna meet he could have just said I dont want to meet and matter closed. But he didnt say that, so please read the thread before you post somethng about it

And I have never mentioned that he is a bad person, he just lies about a lot of things. If you read I had also said that I was looking forward to meet him but I finally lost interest coz of his behavior

Hi, Lilchef62. The criticism directed at varmenti was all about his betting system and his refusal to even try to understand its weaknesses. People on this forum tried to point out the weaknesses to him, but varmenti has refused to listen. Rob45 even tested it manually with the expected results: it doesn't work. Varmenti's response was basically that rob45 wasn't doing it right. Varmenti also claimed that his system only works in the casino, and that no computer simulation can realistically portray baccarat results, an assertion which is utterly wrong.

Varmenti has made several wild assertions which have called into question his credibility. For example, he has insisted repeatedly that he's been winning for the past several months to the tune of $500 - $1,000 EVERY DAY with a buy-in of only $500. He also claims that with his system, he can lose 75% of the hands, win 25% and walk away a winner. Since you are apparently a baccarat dealer and have dealt to him, can you tell us if varmenti's claims of being a consistent daily winner are true? Has he been winning $500 - $1,000 every day he plays?

I do admit to watching his style of play and I do not understand it to defend him on the way he and his wife like to play.
I see many players approach the table with many styles of play. I do notice his way of play does hold water because they keep playing the same way when they visit. I do know when they play they do not stay long.

I've only started seeing the couple play there maybe a month or so. Many other dealers also enjoy them as they are quite fun.
The buy in is close to the amount you've mentioned but they do not stay long. maybe 15-20 minutes and then cash out.

Thanks, Lilchef62. I appreciate your taking the time to respond. My question, though, is does he win all the time? $500 - $1,000 EVERY DAY? Every dealer should have a prettty good idea of how much a gambler has won or lost whenever he or she leaves the table. Is varmenti a consistent winner?

I thought Varmenti had been playing there for months and months at Fallsview. ANd based on his posts he mention how he plays from 10 am to 12:00 in the night from 10pm to 2am, while you are saying he cashes out in 10-15mins.

Anyways I hope to see all of you there tomooro while Varmenti is supposedly there to catch the streak in the new shoe at 10

I'm not sure if they made what they claim as when they left my table was shortly after 15-20 minutes but did not show much of winnings. There are far too many players for any of us to keep track on, I only recall them as a very happy couple win or lose.

I can not say varmenti a consistent winner because i don't follow his playing. I just deal cards.

Hmm...I found that many of varmenti's threads are rated relatively high. (Two are even rated 5 stars with 6 votes each):

Interestingly, I also just noticed that member 'jamesbond007' has his lone thread rated 5 stars by 6 people as well. And nuked member 'Martyman' also has a thread which was rated 5 stars. All of gr8player's threads have a rating, too.

Are all these guys connected somehow? Hmm...the plot thickens...

OTOH, take a look at my threads. I laughed my a** off when I noticed that somebody actually went through all 42 of my threads and rated them all 1 star. Not even EvenBob has this distinction! LOL!

*See specifically his "I have a winning system but I don't know how to properly prove it. Any suggestions?" and "Brand New US Hundred Dollar Bill released into Circulation TODAY." (5 stars each by 6 people!)

Same thing has happened to me, and to Mission. Probably others, too.

LOL!

Looks like some member(s) went back only so far with Mission's threads, but all of yours were given the big 0, too! :D

Hopefully, one of the admins can go back and view who downgraded our threads and also who rated all of the threads by varmenti, gr8player, jamesbond007, and Martyman.

Not that either of us really cares, but it could give the admins some insight into who the pesky gremlins may be.

Unfortunately, we don't have that ability. Still, I agree a conspiracy is afoot, and I'm in the mood to clean house some more.

It is funny, in a grade-school way. I've never paid attention to thread ratings, and I'd bet no one else has, either.

Yes, it needs to be cleaned up because a house should appear orderly. But come on; messing with thread ratings? Why not just ring the doorbell and run away?

That would work, they've already left the brown bag of poo at the foot of the door...a system calling for betting Player/Banker simultaneously.
