Like a flea market that has alot of things for view....or consumption...so does this site as well.

I can consume the message boards, I can be a consumer of Bovada, of the Tshirts for sale, I can be a consumer of the hotel reviews, a consumer of the essays on gambling. In exchange my time is money, I donate my time on the message board a few minutes a day.

Without consumers of the message board, its a ghost town...the product(message board) is irrelevant....just as a flea market is irrelevant without consumers. The message board needs consumers in order for advertising to be sold. Zero cinsumers....means zero advertising.

This is a place of business. If a worker in a place of business tells dumb blonde jokes for all to hear....its great for the advertisers who think blondes are dumb. Its great for the customers who think blondes are dumb. And its great for overseers who think the same.

And if blondes are fair game.....then jews, blacks,Polish the obese and ugly are part of the open season......but its at the discretion of board monitors and the owner.

Hes not blasting annoying advertising all over the this forum, it's clean and easy to use. We need to appreciate the quality.

I look at this site as more of a courtesy or perhaps just a hobby(yet he gets scrutinized for every thing he dose). Forums are a completely different animal then the traditional business. Perhaps he could do things a different way to make this site more profitable. Forgo the quality, kiss everyone's asses, let people say what they want and skirt the rules. 3 ring circus, filled with system bettors and serial agitators.

Even if it is a business, its not Burger king. I see no slogan, "have it your way." The customer is NOT always right, especially if they are acting a fool, customers need to be reasonable. The Wizard seems to be fair. Not every situation can be covered in a list of rules. Most people know if they are doing something that's frowned upon.

I know its not burger king. Burger king is a successful business that treats its customers consistantly, in the same fashion. No games, no variations of rules for some and not others. This site would be a couretesy if they accepted no advertising. However this site is no more a courtesy as your local TV station that provides programming for no charge to you while hoping you view so that they can charge advertisers.

A radio talk show is best analogy I have seen offered although I don't see the benefit of talking about similar businesses when we can talk about this one . The listeners provide content and an audience and the show takes measures to shape the character of the show to satisfy the advertisers. Do they let anyone on to say whatever they want?

While it wouldn't be 100% correct for me to say I hate it when people are kicked off or even when wrong-doers are appropriately punished, this banning makes me happy. I haven't been around the forum all that long so I think (even if naively) that the folks here are more interested in discourse than in winning ... and may I say even some long-timers sell the forum short overall on this capacity. This banning does make me happy. LarryS was really the only one on here that was quick to assign motive. When he did so to me, about as wrongly and as out-of-the-blue-y as I think is humanly possible, it gave credence to Nareed's worries about the self-control of those on here. Now I see that, whatever the forum populace-at-large thinks about other banning/suspension decisions, I think Wizard got this one right. LarryS is free to be a child, but we are free to call him as such and not listen to his tantrums.

That's funny. Larry always had to throw in digs when arguing with WoV members, who I thought put up some very good points. If he disagreed (What? Larry disagree with someone?) he called your argument "weak", "not cogent", etc., in such a way as to slight you. I made a post or two disagreeing with him but seen the handwriting on the wall. Larry simply cannot relate to another person's point of view. In his mind he was the only one with a cogent argument. And I seen his arguments as being downright silly. I backed off from arguing with him. As my poor old daddy told me "Sometimes, when you argue with a fool in public, the public may not be able to figure out which one the fool is."

I've heard a rumor that Larry allows his chimp to smoke in public and Sam told him a year ago that if he's not going to buy any furniture he's not welcome in the store.

Anyone want to guess what name he comes back under? "wizardofvegassux" was already banned, so he cant use that one.

Yet he made some valid points on occasion, and he was not one to let things slide.

He was not averse to chewing the same bone over and over if necessary in support of his beliefs, and he refused to play nice.

It is a shame he could not tone down the content of his posts sufficiently to fit in and remain here, but he didn't, he got nuked, and it's game over for him at WoV.

I suspect he'll continue to post at GG.

I was never active in GG and didn't know that joint even existed until egalite started ranting about his new forum when he was given the hi hee ho at the defunct BF. It is always these bitter strange GG folks that just crap over everything and everyone they come in contact with. I don't know what is going on and what went on with that thread over at GG and personally I like it to remain that way.

Now I kind of feel bad for beach and the Wizard. This happened before since this is egalite's usual vile MO. If he is bruised online where his ego has been questioned and slapped around he will go to his nutcase phase two scenario. He will spend many hours roaming online looking for your private information. Peter Keating would not head to a casino or do anything productive until he gets his online justice. Once he obtains whatever private information of you he would then head to his phase three scenario which is posting the information online and attacking you day in and day out and this is not going to ever stop. He also would make elaborate things up and projecting those issues on to you. egalite/carlos has been doing this to me and many others for gosh knows how long. The guy seems to have an obsession with prostitutes and wanking LOL. Maybe this is what he does since he spends so much time being on line stalking people.

A couple of years ago he went at it with someone name Archer in the now defunct Baccarat Forums. Egalite roamed most probably every single online gambling forum looking for Archer's private info. The egalite succeeded. He got his real name, his pic(s) and his phone number. What's next is both hilarious and scary. He literally phoned the guy threatening him and then posted Archer's info all over other online gambling forums. From what is known he went so far as to contact the IRS claiming that Archer was hiding taxes from his casino winnings. He will also impersonate you on other forums and start to blindly attack others.
