This is what GR8 can't understand. If you can't
spell out out exactly and in detail what you're
doing, shut up about it already.
Quote: tringlomaneAs far as terapined goes, this sounded like something that could have easily been resolved by blocking the thread or blocking beethoven.
I doubt it, he was trolling heavy. See his comments on the Tea Party. I think what happened is he got tired of getting rolled over.

Just getting tired of being called names.
It was nice meeting the Wizard and Mission146 and other members.
Had a lot of fun at the mcnugget challenge videotaping.
Goodbye everyone.

Maybe all bans and suspensions of any sort should be announced but held in abeyance for 24 hours so that all tempers calm down and there is less bickering or photo-posting. The poster with the suspension hanging over his head might then be able to express his thoughts more clearly in this thread and there would be far less bickering.

It's all in good fun until someone gets banned... or you wake up with your head stapled to the carpet!

He left because no one buys what he was saying and he got that WoV beat down. There weren't any folks who are going to kiss his ass this time around so he was not getting the fan base attention that he so desperately needs and was used to. Peter Keating was here because for the purpose to take shots at gr8 whenever he can. When others joined in the attack at gr8 this greased him up thinking he can pull the usual drivel he did in the past other forums he was in. Yet this time was different things turned against him and he couldn't take the heat.
Really cowardly sending that email to resign. Just don't show up that is all. This is his way of throwing in the last word since he doesn't have any at the moment because of the ban. Man up there was no need to throw this hissy fit. It is not like you were banned permanently Peter Keating.
Egalite was the same thing. He couldn't stand when people weren't revealing things when he also doesn't do the same. Such a hypocrite. Maybe he is making good money like you stated. Maybe it is all bs. Not much an issue since my own money is not involved. There are major holes and issues in his game hence he needs other folk's ideas to help fill in those holes. Plus his Dr. Jerkyll and Mr. Hide unpredictability was always uncalled for.
Knowing Peter Keating I doubt he would totally leave this board. He would most likely be lurking and reading this place and then posting and attacking you in some other board(s) he is a member of. LOL. He doesn't forget and/or forgive.
Now come to think of it I need to put this to an end. I have been dragging myself into this and posting way too much on this matter.

DISAGREE. It is not a woman thing. Courteous is one human showing understanding and tolerance of others.
When a person is an active member of a forum, and a picture of them is posted, they should become aware of said photo, and be able to take action if they do not want that photo published.
Someone who has left the forum would not necessarily know that their picture has been posted.
And, let's look at the context of the posting.
One is a photo taking during a fun event, attended by many parties with ties to this forum.
The second is the same photo, but now the subject is a negative about one particular person in the photo.
You don't need to be drinking to make posts you regret. I had suffered from periods of insomnia and really was not making any sense at all for some period of time. I had some good ideas but they were scattered and jumbled together jumping around and find them a little embarrassing. When people cut up quotes and line by line respond, it irritates the hell out of me and I find the practice the signature of a control freak.Quote: mickeycrimmI had broken a promise made to myself after my first suspension. I'm a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde type. I suffer from "ten foot tall and bullet proof" syndrome when I get drunk. My middle of the night posts do not contribute anything to the furtherance of gambling knowledge, strategy. They are nothing but the ignorant blabberings of a drunken egotistical maniac. I apologize to anyone I may have offended. All I can do is start over and see if I can keep this promise to myself.

Hey, The Feds never got my permission before putting my pix in all them damn Post Offices.
P.S. Mickey, no need to apologize for any drunken post. It's pretty obvious you were 3 sheets to the wind. I stop having arguments and/or fights with drunks years ago. The next day they don't remember it anyway, so just consider the source and get on with your life.
This ain't diversity tomorrow, but I have always found gamblers in general to be the least prejudiced people I have know. And with ladies like Babs and Hot Blonde and whoever else, I agree the language need to be cleaned up.
Self suspension ? When did prisoners get to pick the sentence ? Or the parole date? Just shut and leave !
You gotta respect a guy who writes a post like this after getting suspended. I can't think of many others who would do the same.Quote: mickeycrimmI had broken a promise made to myself after my first suspension. I promised myself I would not go around my laptop when drinking. I said days ago in this thread that I did not find mickey's language offensive, so that's not my dog in the scrum. I do find it sad that a guy who was a frequent participant for months has become so offended by other people here that he left. Twice in one day, for that matter. In both cases self-inflicted to some degree, but not unwarranted umbrage either.
Kicking someone when they're already down is ungentlemanly and beneath the quality of this forum. So is veiling insults in language barely tolerable under the moderators' rules in order to bait others into crossing the suspension line. It's the sport of those who attend dog fights and fry ants with magnifying glasses. In these things, I am indeed Emily Post. PBBBthththth.... and Edith Ann. And that's the truth. :)
anybody who turns their back or goes to sleep. " Both have served me well.

anybody who turns their back or goes to sleep. " Both have served me well.
Not sure I follow you, Buzz....both terapined and Egalite left of their own volition. Both were offended by others. Both contributed to the escalating spiral that ended in their departure. One tossed a grenade on his way out the door, the other didn't. That's what I was referring to.

I think Bob merely stated a fact. And if they know who she is, has anyone here ever read any of her books ? just asking, darling. Boys are different then girls, as you reminded me so often on our honeymoon.

That's why I never got arrested as a teenager. Soon or later I would get out of juvenile detention and he'd kick my ass !
Even after I said no, he still kept on asking (even in different threads!). Here's a sample:

Again, that was only a few weeks ago. How he went from that to acting like I'm the Grinch who stole Xmas is beyond me. (Our correspondence in the political threads was no different than it had been over the previous 10-12 months)
It could be—and I say this in all seriousness, not as an insult—some sort of mild mental issue, where a person takes a simple comment and interprets it as some sort of grave insult. Because like I said before, I didn't say anything to him that was any different from anything else I've said to him over the past year.
If this is indeed the case, then I hope the guy gets some help and gets well soon.
Quote: AxelWolfI didn't read that thread, I must have it blocked. So I don't know the situation.
Here's the synopsis:
Egalite: I make tons of money playing my negative progression at baccarat, but once in a while I go on tilt and lose a bunch. How can I prevent this?
Everyone with a clue: You didn't go on tilt. That's how negative progressions work. You win most of the time, and occasionally have massive losses that wipe you out.
Egalite: No! I grind out $20k a month playing baccarat! It's my own proprietary bet progression that I made up myself!
Bob: You math guys shouldn't talk about what you don't understand. This guy is a big winning player through his use of money management and bet selection.
Everyone with a clue: How can anyone possibly believe that nonsense?
And then it sort of goes back and forth like that. It's an interesting combination of funny and sad.

I followed some of the Egalite thread and I think he is full of it. No one is consistently beating Bac with a "betting system" that dose not include some+EV angle. Such as loss rebates, mailers, extra information about the cards, Blatant cheating.
Bob can say he dose, But I asked him where the proof was.

Is it just me or when you look at an old pic like this do you find it hard to say how attractive the woman is? Not her per se, but so often I see old pics like this and the women really blend together, not a lot of distinctive looks?
