This forum, well, I'm not even sure what the purpose of the forum is any more.
I used to think this was a forum for people who wanted to learn about gaming.
Now it seems that the vastness of the topics covered makes this forum sort of "I dare you to say anything to get people excited, because someone is going to get suspended."

I was going to stay out of it but what the hey.
I'm appalled at the treatment you've been receiving here. To borrow someone's phrase it's "pot-stirring nonsense". In my opinion. Always my opinion. There are many game developers on this forum and they are all treated respectfully and even cheered on. I wonder what would happen if one of them were constantly excoriated.
I'm not referring to Zcore13 or anyone who engages in spirited discussion on the topic at hand. Passionate give and take is healthy and even productive. I'm referring to those who love to pile it on in the most cowardly fashion, people who don't know the first thing about any phase of gaming. We all know the type.
I'm picturing someone who is mad at the world. He sits in his man cave or basement in his underwear posting pot-stirring post after pot-stirring post in order to compensate for his own inadequacies. He wants everyone to be as miserable as he is.
He tells us over and over how great the good old days were and how great he is. His own family can't stand the sight of him so he stays cooped up with his dog.

Before we discuss what's bothering you this time, I'd like to thank you for verifying that our good friend, Boz, is a man's man. I don't know why you felt the need to do so because that was never called into question. Perhaps you just wanted the forum to know. I know there are big men here as evidenced by their posts where they are surrounded by women, whether said women were were paid or not. That's how you tell a big man right? I could have posed with that slot attendant but she didn't have her teeth in. That and the fact that I'm comfortable just as I am and don't feel the need to impress anyone on the internet or anywhere else.
May we discuss your unfounded allegations that I'm stoking the flames? Shouldn't you be speaking to those who started the fires? That certainly would not be me. Ask them why they respond negatively to my posts time after time. One refers to me as a dogooder. I take that bazaar comment as a compliment although it wasn't intended as such. Ask them why they hijack threads while adding nothing to them. Take a moment to go over my posts to see for yourself. It won't take long. Just yesterday I was baited for simply welcoming a new member to the forum.
Allow me to offer some remedial posting methods in lieu of character attacks, insults and baiting. I'll walk you through it. Don't worry, I'll be right here. It goes something like this. I make a post that you don't agree with. You respond with:
I disagree with you because.........
I think Ahigh is treated well here because.......
I think it's okay to trash a persons livelihood because.........
Kentry's 7 day suspension was deserved because........
I think the female body is pornographic because.......
Do you see how it works? Give it a try. It may not be easy but worthwhile things often are not easy.
The mammothrepts here will continue to do what they do best which is bring down the forum. The forum deserves better. With your help maybe we can improve things and show some respect for the owners of this site.

Yes sir. I'm claiming that I don't stir the pot but you don't need my claim, just read my posts. If you hadn't gotten suspended we could have gone over this at the time it happened instead of rehashing old news now.
If you are attempting to curry favor here by engaging me, it's obviously not working. Perhaps you should try a different tack.
The incident you are referring to involved an administrator and administrators are or should be held to a higher standard. While I don't want anyone suspended it was a good opportunity to see how said administrator would handle the incident. We all saw didn't we? By the way, the other administrators treat me very well.
You keep returning to this thread but you aren't discussing the suspension list, something that you, of all people, should have plenty to say about.
When are you going to stand up for yourself and discuss your own suspension? A couple of people went to bat for you. Don't let them down.

I'm going to give you partial credit for answering one question and you did it without crushing a single one of those eggshells that you so carefully walked on. You've made some comments and asked me some questions and I am more than happy to respond. I hope you don't mind if I jump around a bit as I do my best to cover them all.
This is not about making me happy but I thank you for your thoughtfulness. I am a very fulfilled and happy person and always have been. I am grateful for that every day and I never take it for granted.
I have no thoughts on whether you should thank those who went to bat for you. It would be a nice gesture but it is entirely up to you. I did not go to bat for you for a couple of reasons, one being that I got the uneasy feeling that I may have been baited.
I am not making a big deal out of anything. I'm merely posting my thoughts and opinions in this thread while staying on the subject of the thread. Can you honestly say the same?
You are not posting "like normal". You, sir, are attempting to stir the pot. In my opinion. It is not normal to respond to my posts in the manner that you have been. In my opinion. Perhaps you are trying to find your niche here. Perhaps the circle the wagons crowd would be a good fit for you. Maybe they will support you like they did while you served your suspension or maybe they will lead you down a dark road.

Axel, Axel, Axel. What are we going to do with you? Half the time I can't tell if you're trying to improve things or make them worse. I have no problem understanding anything except maybe some very advanced and meaningless math that would get me an extra penny or two on a secret slot machine at an undisclosed location. Yes, I admit that I find this thread entertaining and from the looks of things I'm not alone. More than that, I find it very enlightening.
One thing we have come to count on from these fine folks is the hyperbole. It's all about the spin and true to form they never disappoint. I never said that I wanted anyone to call out Mike but there you are planting the suggestion by asking me that very question. Perhaps this. Perhaps that. Capital letters. Quotes around certain words. I guess you Vegas types feel a certain bond, real or imagined, but jeez.
Since we're such good friends can you do me a solid? Can you re post the photo of the naked woman on the balcony. You know, the one where she's looking out over the Vegas Strip. I assure you that I ask for academic reasons only. Think of the extra cred that you'll get. Win win.
