I would vote against that being a rule 17 violation. You did say that. There is no hidden meaning that is missing due to the partial quote. I PREFER partial quotes compared with someone quoting a 5000 word Mission article, as an example!

1. The quoted portion, while a truncation of the original text, does appear accurate, in accordance with Rule 17. The subsequent preposition ("because I'm not a mod") contextualizes the statement, but its absence does not seem to significantly alter the meaning of the quoted text.
2. As you pointed out, you are not a mod, so it would seem inappropriate to demand sentencing.
Other mods are welcome to tell me why I'm wrong in PM.

An estimated Over/Under would be fine since it might be tedious spending all day getting an accurate tally.

To those who said it was a suspension minefield before, I can only offer my sincere apologies for what may come to pass.
I believe the policy against bribing moderators means you can't toke to get a sharp axe.

Other moderators who do not follow assorted other forums might not be aware of the nature or intent of his post.
So, you may still get penalised. Or not.

I only ask because there is speculation that one particular member has used either money or the threat of legal action to get some insulation / cover.

The goal of a forum member should not be to get his rivals/enemies suspended from the forum. yet, some of you seem to have that as a goal.
As a general statement, social media may involve some amount of exposure to crankiness, people having a bad day, crusading zealots, anonymous savagery, personality disorders, and even mental illness. (That's not a comment about any specific person in this thread.) It's part of the human condition, and your mileage may vary.

I don't know what suddenly got into MDawg. He started digging in at me on the Cytodyn board.
I suspect (just my opinion) that MDawg sees competition with EB who is getting a lot more replies for a lot less work (no five pages of reports and photos of meals and rooms).
Perhaps he figures he needs some relevancy again.
