For the most part when somebody keeps getting the same thing right over, and over, and over again, it's no longer a situation where I just happened to be right in the end. My evidence was solid if one was smart enough to just realize it. The pine street reference thing just could not be coincidental in this situation. That was just one very small piece of the evidence. I hereby put in a motion to decrease MaxPen's suspension to only 5 days, to be unsuspended today. I think his light-hearted joke about an epidemic in Africa (AIDS) shouldn't have this harsh of a penalty. This is only a request from a simple meme farmer. I know....it ain't much, but it's honest work.

Granted. Not for the reason you list, but because 5 is sufficient for the double offense in context of the discussion in which it occurred.

And I don’t think Max was saying YOU personally have AIDS, he was just being a good gambling playing the odds and saying IF a member here did, the odds are you would be a candidate based on your life choices in a historical higher risk group.
Luckily you live in a country where we have spent the research dollars to find a cure or means of controlling this horrible disease. And hopefully you understand the money spent on finding cures will be reduced when you get your “free” HC for everyone.

I am not a rightie, but would this also apply if someone accuses you of being HIV positive?
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

But I've said it before: I'm on PrEP. The odds of me getting HIV are extremely low to nonexistent. So anyone who wants to try to take swipes at me over that is wasting their time.

I thought the spread of AIDS was linked to the polio vaccine made from using chimpanzees? Prior to that, I thought it was transferred to humans somewhere in Africa from cleaning monkeys for consumption, or doing unspeakable things to monkeys.

EvenBob's account of the emergence of AIDs into the public consciousness and as a public health epidemic in the late 1970's is accurate, and, as I remember it, his account of how people laughed and scoffed and then start dropping like flies is also generally true. I lived through that era, and that is the way it happened, no matter how many Wikipedia articles tell you that there was a case in Africa in 1959 that was defined, after the fact, to be AIDs.
So many better men, a few of them friends, are dead. And a thousand thousand slimy things live on, and so do I.
