People there comment on what happens here and now folks here are commenting on the comments they make.
I'll call it a circular firing squad because the first circular reference I thought of might be suspension worthy.

Now...if closing the thread was a consensus decision of a majority of the mods, the Wizard's decision, or the owner's decision...I would more readily accept it.
There are a couple of real blowhards on that other forum, but even they have some points that resonate. For example, I despise the picture of BBB being displayed since EVERYONE involved knew that she did not want it posted...but I agree with some of the points about over-moderation on this forum.
Anyway, she did what she did and I have said what I want to say on the issue...since I am not a mod, that is about it for me!!

Personally, I find much of it to be in bad taste. I have tried very hard to ensure I don't become a censor, and I think the thread about LarryS might have been the only thread thus far that I have ever closed. We all mod differently and have different goals in our head. My stance comes from a chat I had when I took lunch with Wiz some 4 years ago, and the biggest thing I took from that convo was that he wished his site to feature intelligent discussion between intelligent members, all of which would be done with decorum and grace. HIS overall goal is probably much bigger than that, but that is the parts of his communication that I have made MY goal. And all of this is beneath that threshold.
To boot, I find it on occasion to be a bit cowardly. GF itself has no beef with WoV, nor vice versa. The fact that some folks there happen to be anti-WoV is immaterial. What's the point of throwing daggers? Perhaps you have been offended, angered, or just like a spot of drama to pass the day. If so, why not obtain it? Many here are already there, as am I. I too like a spot of drama, I too enjoy talking, debating, or sparring with those I've known in the past. But if I'm going to do that, I'd not do it here where it is disruptive, nor do it here where none of my targets are able to respond or defend. The whole act of doing it here, pretty much from top to bottom, isn't something I can support.
This is not a warning or a rule proposal, and I've no desire to turn it into one. I suppose it's just me opining that I feel we're better than that, and imploring for all to prove me right.

I don't totally disagree with what you are saying, but I'd rather either say what I have to say about that place here than go over there and be part of what we are doing by going there--anyone who goes over and tries to defend anything here is wasting their time and keeping alive a thread that only survives on negative comments about this forum. To put it bluntly, your attempts are worthless...even more worthless than a thread here about that place. I'm not saying that we should not contribute to the "good" content on that or any forum, but posting in that thread brings no results and often results in decent people being called names. That and quote the count of visitors is about all that really happens there.

That's sort of an honest question. If you want to defend, to engage, to debate, to spar, but none of that is possible due to the makeup of that forum's members, then it's completely obvious why you'd refrain from posting there. But if the above is true, what good comes from posting about there, but doing it here? The only reason my young mind can find is A) you want to get down and dirty with the drama (which is fun, which is why I went over there), or B) you want to return fire to those you view as enemies. Some might say fair play on "B", but again, A) you can go there while they can't come here, making it (in my eyes) a bit of a cowardly act, and B) it only serves to dirty up WoV with unnecessary negativity, which a vast majority of members are not involved in.
Member Face still thinks it's bad form. Mod Face just has his head down and fingers crossed hoping no one turns this into a s#$% storm he has to clean up ;)

I like to watch NASCAR. I'll admit to enjoying the wrecks but I don't want to see anyone get hurt. I like good, tight racing the most...but, especially in plate races, the "Big One" is always around the corner...
I'd rather discuss the wrecks among friends of WOV than with enemies.

When I closed that thread, I posted an administrative note about his return. That got deleted along with the rest, so I'm restating it here.
This was the second thread of this sort; the first, LarryS is a predator, was closed by Face for inappropriate language and content. LSH posted the now- deleted thread a couple weeks later, with similar but more graphic, offensive, and profane language, ignoring the reasons for the first closure: for this, he was given a suspension.
Because of the two offenses, I gave special notice that he is under a 3 Strikes rule, as opposed to a Martingale. I repeat it here; if he starts another, similar thread, he will be nuked.

Obama is going to pardon then all the night he leaves. This might actually be a good idea. You know the hundreds banned for life, beyond the misbehaving, there would be thousands of posts that might actually be good contributions. 200 people here a day is kind of a low water mark and it's kind of boring. That's why the nuggets challenge has no interest. Complete order is boring and the site needs a little chaos and anarchy to reach a higher potential. Agreed. I don't like on forums how people just disappear into the night like taken by the Nazis. Transparency shows respect for others opinions and shows desire to make the right decision. I have to say in 25 years of what we today call forums going back to usenet I have seen his kind before and they do often have serious problems. I will keep maintaining that there is the chance he is a paid troll, which I would hope is the case. If he just stumbled in with such a Trump obsession lets just say that people around him should be watchful. Deeper problems usually exist.

I thought something similar, though I'm not sure I've seen such a severe case since AOL. Said several weeks ago, he at least has symptoms of a personality disorder. Even when talking about some guy vulturing UX, every. single. word. is tearing someone else down to build himself up. It's human nature to do that here and there, but sweet Jesus.
There's also this weird kind of disinterest in any reality greater than that. Not everybody is into politics, so many mess up the terminology, but if I were going to lecture people about my own political genius all day, I might, say, read the wikipedia entries about the meaning of "left wing" and "right wing" so that I used the terms correctly.
Obviously a smart guy. Kind of a tragic character, in that a total lack of humility is a central failing. He received lessons in humility almost daily, as though they were handed down from a higher being, yet was totally impervious to them.
Saw three guys holding up their phones and looking through them, lined up in front of me in the sportsbook the other day. Almost snapped a photo.
Anyway, almost a fable about self esteem. When you accept yourself as you are, limited, ignorant of many things, bad at some stuff, you gain self esteem. People who try to cover all that up ultimately have low self esteem and deserve pity.
Even so, it will be a relief.
