Quote: djatcBeing a loner sucks :(
No, it doesn't.
What sucks is the discriminatory practice of the 2 for 1 offers. I appreciate the need, and it makes sense for a lot of people. But what's wrong with a "2 for 1 or 50% off" deal? That's why I never subscribe to the LVA coupon book, or the other such offers available. What little isn't 2 for 1 is, mostly, of little interest and, usually, not enough to cover the expense of the coupon book anyway.

LVA and American Casino guide can more then make up the amount you paid from using your first matchplay/freeplay, so I don't think you should rule them out. I agree with the 2 for 1 or 50% however, only 20% or so of the coupons do this.

I'm willing to look again. But most offers of match play and free pay were for casinos I'm not likely to go to, and that are too far out of the way when you move around by bus.

Yeah the best deals are mostly offstrip casinos, iirc.

Quote: jsyang21You may have noticed, your bonus chips from chip neighboring and chip feeds start to get scaled once you have a bankroll above a certain amount. It scales drastically once your bankroll is over 50K.
I recommend playing blackjack and getting your bankroll below 40K, and then collecting chips through feeds and sends.

I disagree unless what she says is not true, and I really don't know if her suggestion is actually true or not. However, this has become a significant thread on this forum. It's great for low rollers, because you can easily earn $1 or more per hour with zero risk if you are a non-local. Considering how I bet in Vegas, I get more comps per hour from MyVegas than I will get from MGM and CET in actual play. I won't play < 99% video poker machines for more than 35c per round because I am poor (i.e. 1-line at Double Super Times Pay), so my casino comps from MGM/CET suck. The best machine I will likely play from them is 7/5 Bonus w/STP at the Quad for 30c a pull. But with playing MyVegas in the last 6 months, we have 4 nights at MGM properties coming to us and 2 premium tickets to "Love" coming to us. For ZERO cost to us. And our actual play would never be enough to gain these comps. Hell, if it wasn't for MyVegas, I wouldn't be making a trip to Vegas this month!!!

That reminds me a time I stepped into a fetish club. Turned right around and left wondering wtf goes on in those places.... Not that there's anything wrong with that, just not my scene. Men to women ratio is crappy, and most girls have bfs anyway so they don't count.
Anyway, I don't mind selling the comps but yeah I need people to supply their own cc. Sorry but I don't value show tickets much since I don't care for them, and prefer rooms or food since I'm a penny pincher.

top of my list, but the price is myVegasright !
Quote: PGBusterIts also been my experience that people in the service industry look down on you because you're "wasting a table".
I usually get good service.
The thing I've noticed is that when I stand in line behind a group of people, service personnel assume I'm with them. This happens to me a lot at restaurants and buffets. Also, when flying the stewardess tends to assume I'm with the rest of the people in the row.
It's kind of corny however the price is definitely right.Quote: JohnnyQWas hoping to see the double XP points this weekend. My wife just

Restaurant hosts/hostesses don't comprehend people eat alone for some reason. Eating is not a social event. It's to fill my belly and stop the hunger.

So have you been to it ? Using myVegas points ?
Friend me on facebook "scurvyman@gmail.com" I chip feed and gift all day everyday :D
read my other posts. Shot answer no. I know the show and its worth 20k points all day long.Quote: JohnnyQSo have you been to it ? Using myVegas points ?

I totally agree. I didn't start playing myVegas right away, but I like it now. And the prizes are pretty generous.
Which makes me wonder how long the game and rewards the way they are currently "priced" is sustainable.
Let's hope for quite a while. I may even buy a few chips with the idea of supporting the developers.

They don't see a person at the table, they see a tip. Smaller party = smaller tip. If the place is not busy not as big of a deal. I have seen them get moderately upset when I ask for a table in the dining room and not at the bar. I don't care. I eat alone 95% of the time. But I try to get there off-rush hour since I hate crowds.

1. Depends on how many suckers by significant chip packages. (Paying $5 for an extra reward redemption doesn't count)
2. (Possibly a bigger factor) The ADT calculated by MLife from players on days MyVegas rewards are redeemed. They won't be happy with my or my g/f's number, but I am going to try to give MGM a little more play this trip (maybe even a little 98.91% Deuces at Mandalay Bay for quarters? meh)
Oh and FYI, some Mirage rewards are now needing to be redeemed by July 1st, so expect those items to be adjusted soon. At least a little warning this time I guess. And it looks like the pair of premium tickets for "Love" that I bought are now gone. If you can, probably better to use your points sooner than later.

Good advice, but I, I mean er ah Mrs. Q, still needs to get up to 30K so she can see
the Tournament of Kings with the rest of us.

And didn't Tournament of Kings used to be cheaper? (45k a pair or something?) Hence the sooner, the better.
When are you planning your trip? To hopefully overlap with a "Race to Rewards" trip?
If that comes back and hitting Vegas helps us gain more CET comps, we'll likely be going back during that timeframe.

We'll be out starting Sunday 07/28. I hope there is another "Race to Rewards" this year. I think they need to do SOMETHING to counter the popularity of myVegas.
My wife has been obsessed with myVegas, playing it almost non-stop (she works from home so has access to the computer all day long). She has gotten my daughter and her fiancee playing as well as her best friend. We leave for Vegas tomorrow.
myVegas will be contributing many fine prizes to our vacation (based on all 5 of our accounts): 6 nights spa suite at NYNY, 2 night suite at Mandalay Bay, 2 nights at Mirage, 6 tickets to the Tournament of Kings, 6 tickets to Zumanity, 6 tickets to Mirage Secret Garden, 6 tickets to the Shark aquarium at Mandalay Bay, 4 day passes to the Adventure Dome, 4 Passes to the Ice Bar at Monte Carlo.
I normally give my action downtown and on the Boulder Strip due to the much better odds available on the craps tables, this time MGM will be getting a decent share of my action, even if it is only at 3-4-5 odds.
WOW. Nice! Have a great trip!Quote: AlembertmyVegas will be contributing many fine prizes to our vacation (based on all 5 of our accounts): 6 nights spa suite at NYNY, 2 night suite at Mandalay Bay, 2 nights at Mirage, 6 tickets to the Tournament of Kings, 6 tickets to Zumanity, 6 tickets to Mirage Secret Garden, 6 tickets to the Shark aquarium at Mandalay Bay, 4 day passes to the Adventure Dome, 4 Passes to the Ice Bar at Monte Carlo.
Quote: AZDuffmanAnyone know what happens when you get all 10 Idols in the dolphin-bonus round?
I don't recall much happening when I got to 10 in the Dolphin thing. But I also do my web surfing
while I am playing myVegas. All I know for sure is that now the IDOLS is on a count up to 50.
But the Mirage game has double XP points today, Cinco
de Mayo.
I might have enough chips to get from level 99 to 100.
Quote: AZDuffmanAnyone know what happens when you get all 10 Idols in the dolphin-bonus round?
You get an achievement for it, then you get to collect 50 more. I got over 50 and now my idols show "50/10". Myvegas cannot seem to count and do fractions.

Jealous of this, I couldn't book this before it was gone. :( Good luck on your trip!

not sure but IS THIS SPAM?

Gold detecting is an -EV play. Unless a casino host can comp me for gold detecting on their properties.

Quote: midwestgbMyVegas now offline. New game to blame?
Went down for a bit but its back up. It's funny I'm accumulating these points, but don't have a set goal on what to use them on. Myvegas has got me hooked!
BTW any ideas on what to spent 150k points? Maximize my nights with cheap rewards, or go all out with a 1 night spa suite?

Depends on you goals. I am nearing 200K in points and playing once a week when there is a bonus after hoarding points. I used to spin every day. I plan to go when the weather is a little crappy then use it as part of an AZ/NV vacation. If one of my old AZ friends wants to come I will use rewards for more nice meals, etc. If it is just me I will go for max comforts like the spa.
They can keep the nightclub rewards--wouldn't do that if they gave me the points to hang out there.
My wife and I claimed a few Rewards on myVegas, and we'll see how they work out.
We got:
2 Tickets to Terry Fator (please Kill me now)
2 ea. 1 Ticket to Ka
1 Pastry at the Aria
Bellagio Room Upgrade
High Tea Experience
I'll report back on how the redemption process goes for them.

I've gone all around with people regarding getting the best "value" for their LPs. For people who already get comped rooms, the free rooms might not be as much value to them. Some people don't do the club scene, so the nightclub options will have no value to them, even if it is "free". You just have to decide what reward you like being offered and get it when you can (since it could be removed, or come back at an inflated cost).
That being said, I redeemed for three total nights at the Mirage Tower Suite, a Cravings buffet, and the Tournament of Kings ticket. I'd redeem more if they let me, which was the original plan until they changed the redemption guidelines.
