Why did you hold the 6? Axelwolf would have paid you more than that for a picture of a malfunction.

I'll leave that for others.

Nice one!
I was playing five-line Jokers Spin for nickels at one credit per line ($0.25/hand) last night waiting out a UX machine I wanted to vulture and hit Quins holding a pair on one line for $10, so that was cool.
Forgot to get a pic. I did get a pic of a UX vulture on quarters holding two high and missing a sequential Royal by a suit on the bottom line. Needed a Club to be a Spade...lol

When I got dealt fours with a 6 on Bonus last month, I held them all, and then thought after. Axel might have gave me more money for a malfunction! Doh!
But I'd take dealt Aces on multiline. If I've got dealt Aces, I don't remember... Gf has, and pulled the kicker on the draw! And she's got multiplied Aces on both STP and UX. I've not received any of those. Bah.
After...

A dealt four to the royal happens once every 2,825 hands (I'm sure someone will check my math!). It's not THAT rare... I've had that dealt three times in an hour before...
Sometimes not once in a whole weekend.

I haven't had one in the last 4 trips. However each trip usually only has about 2000 hands.

Isn't it 4*5*47/2,598,960 =~ 1 in 2765? ;)
And actually I goofed earlier too...Aces is going through a much terrible drought than I was initially thinking. It's a 10-cycle drought now (1 in 22,026). I was thinking about the number of "Royal Scares" you see per royal...oops.
And I don't want to imagine bricking this many in a row. I went 4.5 years without converting. Just broke that in September. I didn't count the misses, but it had to be triple digits.
How mad you gonna be if the streak ends on play money?
Nice accuracy. I screwed up on the plane back from Disney World after about 700 in a row. I thought I held the card, but nope.

i think it has to be 46 (instead of 47).. because the 47th card gives you the dealt royal.

About the accuracy. The two mistakes were from hitting bumps in the road. I play it a lot when friends are driving. Happens a lot.
My last two royals on it, both came holding AJ10 and drawing KQ. And they happened 54 deals apart.

When dealt 4 to Royal in the first 4 cards, which there are 4*5 = 20 ways to do that, there are 48 cards left to choose the last card, 47 of those lead to "4 to a Royal". No?

I got a Royal on my 8th round when I first got the app. I was not happy. Got another one about 1500 rounds later. Definitely overroyalled, bah. I don't play it much.
Quote: tringlomane...I don't play it much.
Same here. Basically while a passenger on the road. It's a battery drainer.
It's extremely fun on the iPad. Bigger screen and longer battery life. I purchased just the Ultimate X package so that's what I play.Quote: IbeatyouracesSame here. Basically while a passenger on the road. It's a battery drainer.
I know you will never pay for anything ;)

Yes yes.. you are correct.. my bad... thanks for the correction.

Yeah, I just can't afford that $4.99 :-)
Plus I like the +100% 9/6 JoB STP!
Quote: WizardofnothingI know it was said before but I cannot find it, which app has ultimate x, I'm already going to assume no correction feature
This one has UX on it. It's 8/6 JoB. Not sure what tables are on the pay for games. And correct, no correction for it.
For the iPad it is called "Best of Video Poker."Quote: WizardofnothingI know it was said before but I cannot find it, which app has ultimate x, I'm already going to assume no correction feature
I also had a draw yesterday in Toledo on single line 8/5 BP that missed too.

so it's about 1 in 2800 to get 4 to a Royal.
it took me about 8hrs to play 5000 hands (for Diamond in a Day).
How many hands do you play a day?
and how is it AP to play -EV games like Spin Poker?

No, SP is not AP play. I do "gamble" once in a while :-) And I don't count hands.

Counting hands is easy, but a questionable habit.
Most people have two....

Spin Poker is the same (EV wise) as any other standard (non-variant) VP game. All that really changes is the volatility.

It should be mentioned that on many Spin Poker machines, a player can bet less than five per line and still get the full 800-FOR-1 payout on a Royal.

Rivers, Pittsburgh. All of them are just one credit per line. Max bet is 9 quarters lol.

Assuming you're playing the quarters ones. HL has $1's and $5's now, I believe.
Also, I play around on nickels, but you can bet more than one per line, but only if you're playing all nine lines.

so if only 1 coin-in per line to get the 800-1 for the Royal, then spin poker is better than the regular version of the game?
Quote: 100xOddsso if only 1 coin-in per line to get the 800-1 for the Royal, then spin poker is better than the regular version of the game?
I suppose the answer is yes if both games have the same paytable otherwise and both are negative expectation games. The Spin Poker would have a lower Expected Loss per hour assuming the denom is the same.
If it is a positive expectation game, then they are equal, percentage wise, just need to bet the Max.

Many??? Disagree. I've only found one like this in my life of dozens of units checked (M Resort Las Vegas - 32 degree bar). I've found more units that require more than 5 credits for the 800 for 1 pay (Blue Chip and Horseshoe Hammond in Indiana).

I've also never seen a Spin Poker game that made you bet all the lines to max bet.
Poor sample size, I know, but surprised to hear such is the exception.
Quote: DeanI may be being cynical, but sometimes winning a Royal is very bad, if you have a crowded casino and other players knowing that you just won $20,000. I remember a story where someone got mugged over a $50 win in the parking lot. I don't even want to think about a $20,000 win.
Ask for a check.
Quote: Mission146Ask for a check.
And a security guard to walk you to your room or car.
If you get to destination safe, your 20K is just 20 paces away. Promise..

If you don't have to do anything the next day:
Get a room comped at the casino
Security escort to room
Collect money the next day
Wrong time to not max bet.
