I know that there are a handful of places in Vegas (Strip and Downtown walkable only) that offer VP that pays over 100%. I have to believe that some of them offer no comps whatsoever, or next to nothing, for those that decide to play these games.

I'm not asking for anyone to give away their secret spot (which I doubt is downtown/strip). Just a place where I have a chance at a room comp (will play other games)... and not having to pay for food my entire trip. Planning on 12 hours of $1 VP over the course of two nights. To start off, how about:

California/MSS (I've heard these two places are synonymous in terms of comps) - DB 100.17%?
Four Queens - DB 100.17%.
LVH - LDW 100.15%.
Palms - DB 100.17%, DDB 100.07%.

all im familiar with comps earned on +EV vp machines are the ones at the station properties. for base -EV games its normally $1 = 3pts and with base +EV games its $4 = 3pts. 1000pts = $1.

California/Main Street Station are both Boyd. As far as comps go, points earned on machines are shared. I heard that table play is recorded independently.
[Deleted.]
4 Queens and Binion also share... something. They use different cards, but I believe points earned on one are also recorded on the other, though they're not interchangeable. As far as I know, they're both 8$-in per point, 20 points per comp dollar and 40 points for per dollar cashback. If you rack up more than 5 points (which I'd expect you would after 6 hours a night...) stop by Binion's and try the spin-and-win to see what extras you snagged.
The last time I was at the Palms (few months back), they DO offer comps on +EV units, but it's at a drastically lower rate compared to their -EV ones.

Edit: Whoops, yeah. Incorrect info erased.

I appreciate your responses. So $160 coin in per comp dollar... session I'd put through maybe $10k... $62.50... could be worse. 4 Queens isn't that bad. Mix it with some $50 craps and could probably get over a hundred.

Sounds like Palms is just stupid?

Would really appreciate info on MSS/California... I'd want to be there for craps anyways.

Don't forget the value of the cashback. I believe the minimum cashout is 5$, but with 10k coin-in, you're getting ~30$ back, on top of the ~60$ comp.

Binion and 4 Queens also have Shoot to Win craps machines that generate points at 20$/pt. I've got the info on the machines here. And I'd recommend against the Binion unit.

Where on VPFree2 does it show the comp info?

Click on any casino > "Player's Club" tab. Some obscure casinos are incomplete, but every single one I asked about was there.

Wait, cash back AND comp dollars? I thought it was either or?

I would rank them thusly:

(1) Four Queens
(2) Cal/MSS
(3) LVH
(4) Palms

They are great low roller plays if you know the correct strategy for DB. Four Queens has 0.3% cashback, but their comps are all marketing-driven. You will get mailers for food and rooms. Same thing at Cal/MSS. You can always ask a host for stuff. I've never been or played at LVH, but I've heard good things. Palms sucks now but they still have good plays on their "Earn and Win" days. The best games to play there are not the 100% games.

Oh, I notice you're playing dollars. Same thing still applies. FQ has a great dollar DB game by the Subway restaurant. There are four uprights. I would play those hard if you have the bankroll and can take the swings. The DB slantops at MSS give next to no points, which makes them less attractive than the FQ games. I wouldn't play there as much as FQ (but would still give them some play). There is one 10/7 DB machine in the little alcove above the craps pit at Cal that gives full points; see if you can find it.

The LVH mailers are very strong in terms of free rooms. I played for 20 minutes on quarter LDW and received a mailer for 2 free room nights per month for three months plus a rate calendar where virtually every night through June was $20.

LVH and Plaza share the same cards, though I don't know the details of their system.

This is incorrect.

Plaza and LVH do NOT share the same card. Plaza and LVC (Las Vegas Club) share.

If you want to play 10/7 DB for $2 then the Palms is the place. I don't think any other "major" casino offers it at that level.

I'm pretty sure I kept my comp dollars the last time I cashed out my cashback. I don't usually bother though, since I frequent Binion's often enough that points/comps expiring isn't a concern.

Er. Cross this. I keep forgetting that 4Q and Binion's might be distinct, no matter how convinced I am that they're identical. The specifics don't seem to be on any of 4Q's pages.

Hum. Now I'm feeling unsure of myself, so I nipped over to their website which says: "Every 40 points earned = $1 Cash Back and $2 in Comp Dollars." (Emphasis mine.)

Anybody plan on being near Fremont soon that could weigh in on this?

Taking one's highest tier card to the Plaza this month, they will match the tier lever, this a must do.

I was told last week, it very well could end by the end of the month, don't waste time if this could be the case.
