Quote: BigfsheadOnly reason I'm playing stations is it's the only fpdw I'm aware of in town. And sadly, that only goes to $0.25.
Look harder.
Quote: BigfsheadA while back, as I was around 4-5 cycles w/o a rf, I was sitting next to a reg fpdw player and asked him what his worst cycle was and he said he had a 7 cycle downswing. Followed by 9 rf's in a 2 month period, and subsequent barring from Aliente casino. It gives me hope and lets me know I'm not the only one, nor the first that's been below ev over a period of time.
If FPDW for quarters is ALL he plays, he could have avoided getting canned by not using a players card. There is almost no reason to use a card if you're playing FPDW solely. Make sure it's a machine that doesn't lock.
Quote: tringlomaneI likely figured out the 99.93% game too that I questioned. White Hot Aces with a $4700 Royal.
That would work, but for the life of me I cannot picture in my mind a WHA with a 4700 coin royal. Am I just brain-dead? Is it a Game Maker?
Seriously, you can tell me I'm brain-dead if you want, it won't hurt my feelings. I'm used to it.
Quote: BigfsheadAny time I've run into a slow machine I hit the help light and askk a slot person to speed it up to max speed for me. They always do it. Never been denied.
On most machines, no matter what the speed, just hit "deal" and they'll complete the cycle immediately and are then ready for you to initiate the next hand...

Wow, that's pretty crazy good luck.
That's probably about as close as we'll see to the "Holy Grail" (12x across the board dealt royal).Quote: ThatDonGuyMeanwhile, over at Sean Patrick's Pub...

Also, that ain't no "$1.25 bet." It's $25.00!

I have never seen a machine like that either, so I may very well be wrong. I have only seen 4700 credit royals on Joker Poker, so it's a bit of a stretch. He wasn't willing to divulge the full paytable, so i can only make an educated guess.

I think there may have been some JoBs with 4700 in the old old days, I dunno. But I am sure we have all seen a couple Triple Bonus Pluses with $1199 in town, but I cannot account for the "99.93" base. I wish he had said it's very difficult to figure out instead of saying it's easy to figure out. Now it's really driving me nuts. :-)

Wait just a darn minute. Did Ibeatyouraces already answer this riddle? I looked right over it. I got confused, which is easy for me to do. I have never played Triple Bonus Kings-or-Better. Vpfree says there's a game for quarters at El Cortez. I don't remember seeing this game. No wonder Monet was secretive. He's got a secret game somewhere in the back of an old liquor store near Martin Luther King Blvd.

Of course Down Town Deuces had a 4700 coin royal. I forgot about that one.

Hmm, I never thought of doing this, but it makes sense, as the points you get for playing the 100%+ games are basically 0 anyway. Since the FPDW is essentially all I play at Stations, should I not play on my card anymore? What do the rest of you guys do? Do you usually play with your card?

If you ever decide to start playing other games besides deuces, you'll be punished for all of it. Chances are you are already being punished. But it couldn't hurt to pull the card for deuces, you're not losing anything, you can only gain by doing so.
Quote: BigfsheadI still use my card. But the casino is way ahead of me since I'm upwards of 7 cycles behind. If I go on any sort of rush, I'll leave it out. But by rush I mean at least 3 RF's inside of 50k hands or something like that. The way I've been runnin, I expect hell to be pretty cool before that happens. So I ain't worried about it. I'll take the points for cigs/food every once in a while when they get there.
Leave what out? The card? How are you going to leave the card out IF "you go on any sort of rush"? Do you have a crystal ball?
Let's say you are a full time FPDW player, putting in 2 million hands a year. You expect to win about $17000 off the game. The points earned on that much action from Stations will be about $600. Is it worth it? By doing so you have red-flagged yourself. If you decided to play other games at some point in your life, you're probably screwed out of much more than $600. Unless you get a name change and plastic surgery.
By the way. You still smoke cigarettes in this day and age? Sounds like there's more you don't understand than video poker. Good luck.

I completely understand what you're saying bob. But as it stands right now, Stations has me for about $7k. So I'm nowhere near a red-flag I'm sure. As for playing other games? I have no idea if I will to any countable degree. I've taken tiny shots at a few neg ev games, and I'm not at a point in BR that I'll fire at any high variance game that's inherently neg ev with a positive side promo or extra big jackpot to make it +ev, that I'd have any confidence in playing well.

Sorry, I know nobody likes to be lectured, but geez louise. I see these poor old people all the time, sitting at the slot machines, some of them in wheelchairs, 200 years old, and puffing on a cigarette, fingers stained brown. At one place I play regularly there is a middle-aged woman who is usually there playing at the bank I play at. She coughs and hacks the whole time, you can hear "stuff" gurgling from her chest, and she's chain-smoking. Naturally it all blows toward me no matter what side I sit on. lol
But damn, I feel sorry for her. She needs help. Psychiatric help. lol WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO GET HER TO QUIT? A piece of her lungs sprays out on the screen while she's playing keno? And she's not that old. But her face looks like an old catcher's mitt. It's them damn cigarettes. Her voice is kinda raspy. It's very sad.

Are you sure it was El Cortez? I would be tempted to say they don't even have 10-play UX for dollars. They sweat over red chippers...
That pub jackpot is pretty sick though.
Quote: RSI remember reading something about El Cortez and a dealt RF on UX....don't remember how much it was for. But I'm pretty sure that's what he's talking about.
I spent awhile on el cortez's facebook and twitter looking for this, but the social media guy is pretty active there, and sorta makes you want to gamble there...lol
So I search "el cortez jackpot" here and probably found the pic originally posted by teddys.

Did you click on the $38k Royal pic from quarter 10-play UX from El Co that I just reposted?
Quote: IbeatyouracesWhat's with all of the diamond royals lately? I have 15 total royals this year, 9 are in diamonds.
I dunno, I haven't had a diamond royal in over 5 years. The only one I got was my first. Still waiting on spades too. 3 hearts, 2 clubs.

Yes, but I think it was a bit of a joke since it was the El Cortez.
And nice hits RS, I didn't day that earlier. Seeing that made me fool around with royal hunt on videopoker.com for a bit. Seems pretty swingy.
looking past the upside down picture (sweet computer skills)... did you not get dinged for taxes because they were "separate" hands? or I'd assume you took the pic in between the "jackpot" flashing sign?Quote: RS

16,000 coins. So my guess is a 50 cent machine for 8000

I was playing UX 10 play. Dealt a flush. next hand I was dealt
Stared at the screen for 10 seconds trying to talk myself into taking the $150 win, vulturing the next hand and leaving the casino +200 for the day. Instead I held the 4 to a royal and received 1 flush and 3 pairs for an awesome win of $22.50. I proceeded to lose the $150 that I put into the machine. I was so annoyed that I do not have an after pic.
SIGHHHHHHHHH, stupid VP
PS: don't mind the pay table, I have a reason for playing it.
