So in Feb 2017 I visited the Royal Yak Casino in Mexico City, located in the horsetrack Hipodromo de las Americas.
and Nareed has written about it here
https://wizardofvegas.com/articles/gambling-in-mexico/
https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/off-topic/general/8928-casino-chip-of-the-day/89/#post350572
and
https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/off-topic/other-casinos/18340-to-try-or-not-to-try-mexican-craps-again/2/

but there are now card table games, to include:

3 BJ tables with CSM at $50 MXN - ?, dealer takes no hole card.
1 Caribbean Stud Poker min max unknown
1 Mini Baccarat
2 Three Card Poker
2 Craps with spanish layout, $50 MXN - ?. $10MXN center bets. Double odds. Double field. The C&E bet is instead "C&O" for once=eleven, contrary to Wizard's description.
5 Roulette with spanish layout
7 Poker tables, texas holdem from what I was told by the dealers
and the exotic Rulle Dados table which I want to write more about!

According to the dealers, card games have been installed for about 2 years.

Also did not see any bubble craps or VP, they were all video slots.

Craps is completely called in Spanish. At the beginning, the stick will without fail make sure to have all 5 dice with six facing up, then deliver to the shooter. The shooter picks 2 dice and customarily throw the other 3 towards the stick, but I didn't at the beginning since I didn't know and just grabbed 2 and threw it. Shooter must wait for the stick to organize the dice with six facing up then cover it with the bowl, otherwise it will be called no roll (my line nor the other player's didn't get paid for a yo on my first throw, I quickly learned to wait). All other procedures are similar to what one would experience in the states. I bought in for $2000 MXN and very much enjoyed imagining my 20 blacks were dollars and not pesos, and throwing in 2 blacks to place the 6 & 8. The 6 & 8 can only be placed in increments of 30 pesos (min 60 of course). I played for about 1 hour, shooting 4-5 times. There were only 3 people playing. I lost about half the buy in. When coloring up and leaving the table a receipt must be obtained from the supervisor, otherwise cannot cash in the chips at the cage. The dealers actively asked for tips from each player that leaves the table. Even though I lost, I had a good time and the dealers weren't like Nareed described, so I threw in 3 greens. I'm such a big tipper hahaha! Yes the chairs are there around the table and the table is pretty standard size otherwise, just a little lower than usual, which means more backbreaking for the dealers.

The next game that I only observed and did not play was Rulle Dados aka roulette craps!!! I could not find any info online about it or any pictures of the layout, so I made my own with some patent drawing I found on Google. Instead of roulette wheel, the area is delineated by plexi glass, backed with craps pyramid bumper at the table edge. After all bets are placed, the player is given 4 dice. 2 green, 1 red, 1 blue. All 4 dice must be thrown with one hand only from the other end of the table and land inside the area. It doesn't need to hit the back wall. Please refer to my professionally made image for how the red and blue die determine the point and other bets like odd even, column etc. In the case of the 2 green dice, if they are both 1 face up or 6 face up then the point will be 0 or 00, overriding the red blue dice. Anything else with the green dice doesn't count. This seemed like a good game for roulette AND craps lovers. One player was superstitious enough to set his red and blue die before throwing.

Anyway, there's 1/36 chance to make either 0 or 00 in this game, vs 1/37 chance in regular roulette. Does it mean the 0/00 is a slightly better bet? Maybe a math pro could explain if the odds in this game are better or worse than regular roulette?

Oops just did a search and turns out Martini1024 already wrote about Rulle Dados!

I now have a green chip in my collection!

The probability of 0 or 00 in double-zero roulette, which this game is striving to be, is 1/38.

In this game, the probability of 0 or 00 is indeed 1 in 36.

The probability of any other specific number is (34/36)*(1/36) = 34/1296 =17/648 = 2.62% = 1 in 38.1176.

This would increase the house edge on all the non-zero bets to 5.56%, compared to the usual 5.26%.

I'd be very interested to know what these bets pay:

0
00
0 or 00
0, 00, or 2
0, 00, 1, 2, or 3

Interesting Konbu. Were dice flying all over, or were the players able to land all four in the "box" consistently?

Note that as of today 1 Mexican Peso = .05 US Dollar. Adding a green to your collection... Baller! hehe

Yes I forgot to mention $1 USD ~ $20 MXN!

Wizard: Sadly I didn't think to ask about the payout for the bets up there since I never bet it, but I guess the 0 or the 00 would pay the usual 35 to 1? We have an assignment for Nareed! Or if tickets were cheap enough I could see myself visiting again on a long weekend.

Ayecarumba: I watched about 10 throws and they all went in the box. You're only throwing them about 6 feet away and the plexiglass does a good job of keeping them inside on the rebound from the pyramids

At 35 to 1, the 0 and 00 would have no house edge.

I sent Nareed a PM at DT yesterday. No reply yet.
