I've been playing the craps sim on WOO, and have been playing the passline with full odds on the inside numbers, and then playing the don't pass with full odds on 4 and 10.

Anybody ever play this way?

I was playing strictly don't pass with full odds before this and it has been the first time I've ever played the game over several days and have continued to increase my bankroll.

There's no harm with doing it, though the other players at the table will think you're a freak!!!

There's no rhyme or reason as to why you're winning using that particular method as the dice are completely random and the odds are against you always if you take the don't or the pass.

How? You don't get to choose the point... the point chooses you

From what I understand if you play the don't, you can move it to the passline after the point is thrown if you want, but not the reverse.

Yes, you can ALWAYS put money on the pass line after a point is established or any number as a "come" bet after the point. You cannot put something on the pass/come line then take it off after the point is established. This is because you have a positive EV when it's on the pass line waiting for a 7/11, then a negative EV afterwards. On the other hand, with don't pass/come you have a negative EV before a point and a positive EV after the point. In the end, the casino would LOVE to have you take money from a positive EV to a negative EV.

If this is how it's being done, 'sample size of one' is my answer to you. You are increasing the HA dramatically and breaking the 7th commandment: "Thou shalt not hedge thy bets".

I imagine they do permit this, just like a casino will often permit you to split any two face cards even if they are not the same face. Casinos are very liberal in allowing players to hurt themselves. They won't let you do the reverse because it hurts them.

If you play the don't the odds are against you on the "come out" roll. You've successfully made it past that point, and now you want to give up your advantage and switch to the pass line. In the long term you are increasing HA and will lose even more money.

If four and ten are the least likely point numbers to roll, based on dice combinations, and 7 is the most probable to roll, isn't it advantageous to play the don't when the point is 4 and 10? Likewise that the 6 and 8 are the next most probable to roll after the 7, so the advantage of the seven rolling is reduced somewhat, so you are better off playing the passline for the 6 and 8?

you dont get to choose what point you get.

its always advantageous to have a point established playing the donts regardless of the number and always disadvantageous to have a point established playing the passline.
