I just stumbled upon this... https://www.draftkings.com/25-free-bet-exclusive
I know nothing about sports. Within this deal, it contains five $5 dollar free bets. Any suggestions how I should use this?

Bet 5 long shots.
The race is not always to the swift, nor the battle to the strong; but that is the way to bet.

you should not sign up and wait for a better deal. I got a $200 free bet plus a few others from draft kings when I signed up
Expect the worst and you will never be disappointed.

DraftKings PA has a $500 freebet promo. It also has a promo for first time deposits of $2500 where you get small amounts cash rebates with each bet made. I did this and it’s a really good deal. Never go for the $25 free stuff. Most of the time it’s best to do the largest sign up/first deposit bonus that’s possible. They can be very valuable.
DK has been great. They have nice promotions and the bonuses and credits and stuff always work. No need to contact customer service.

this is just one of so many examples of books steering the patron to making larger bets and/or deposits
this is only a good idea if the larger amount of the deposit or bets necessary to get the bonus is really a very small amount to you
i.e. : you have a net worth of $5 million and $2500 is really a small sum to you
or if you are really sure you have a substantial edge when you play their game
and how many people can be really sure of that?
very few

I signed up for a promotion that paid me 15 $10 Free Bets for simply depositing $10 in the account and making a single $1 wager.
I did, bet $1 on a +105 underdog and won the bet. So my account now had $11.05 and 15 $10 free bets.
I jumped on chat with the app and asked if I could do this before I did it and they assured me it was OK, so I bet 15 $10 bets on drivers in the Daytona 500. I had 37.5% of the field covered and knew there were a few guys who didn't have much of a chance making my odds 50/50 at worst.
The favorites were +900 and some guys I had as high as +2000.
Denny Hamlin ended up winning the race and it paid +950. So my initial $10 deposit and free bets turned into 106.05, and I withdrew it all.
This strategy worked as well for me than trying to go 60%+ picking straight up winners. It was relatively safe, with potential for a decent payout.
