Patriots (-18.5) vs Dolphins! Perhaps it will go to -20 by Thursday because public is 86% betting on Pats.

Patriots + AB! versus the defenseless Dolphins, tanking for Tua. This second week of picks should be intriguing.
Sometimes, people are just a bottomless mystery. And, after all, this is just a sh*tty little forum in the sun-less backwaters of the online world.

Ugh, first half 14-3 was looking like the perfection bonus with Texas/Saints UNDER 53.5... Drew put up a hell of a second half to push me back on the 5-1. Not a bad first week though =).

You are perfect to me.

Patriots with Brady, with Gronk, with Edelman, with etc... are 1-5 in last 6 games in Miami. These were NOT good Miami teams.

(I'll still take Pats -18.5)

fyi... one of the things I have been doing manually each year is enter the line spread and the over/under spread by hand into my calculator spreadsheet. This year I finally got tired of doing that, (even though it only took a couple of minutes) so I wrote a little routine that enters them for me. All I have to do is copy the entire list above and paste it into a cell, and then click a button. And boom... just like that, all of your lines are entered into my spreadsheet, into the appropriate cells, for that week.

ALSO this year I automated another item I was also doing by hand. Up until now I've been updating the Skip Weeks by hand. Now that's automated too... the calculator program determines who, if anyone, skipped each week.

I'm going to add another $25 side-game.

In order to further entice folks to make confidence bets, $25 to whichever player finishes the year having LOST the most confidence bets. So, all of us who missed our confidence bets in week one have a head start on the field.

To be clear, this is based solely on the number of confidence bets a player places that lose. Someone who goes 0-3 in confidence bets is behind someone who goes 7-4. My guess it will take at least 10 or 11 missed confidence bets to get the $$.

I expect to win this one, so it won't cost me anything!

GenWyzgy,

Thanks for the addition to the prize pool!! Much appreciated.

But is it necessary to entice players further? Isn't there already now enough enticement to make a Confidence Pick each week? (6-0 wins cash but 5-0, picking the same five games, does not.)

Last week, 29/30 players made a Confidence pick. By comparison, last year for Week #1 only 20 of 32 people made a Confidence Pick.

Furthermore, and maybe more importantly, what's the reason to entice players to make Confidence Picks? (As opposed to enticing players to do something else, like pick Overs, or pick home dogs, or pick West Coast teams traveling to the East, etc.)
