I must be close to last. Everything went polar opposite of what I expected.

I show Tommy711 winning, with 223.61 points.
Nathan is second with 123.08 points.

Tommy is closest with a guess of 38 total points scored and 2 touchdowns scored, which nets him 200 points right there.

Give me a few minutes to double-check everything.

Thanks Ed. I can guarantee the forum that the $10 I won from Mike WAS NOT WORTH IT! I think I also beat him heads up. So that should be another $20. Assuming I added right and Michel is 13 points!

Thanks for putting this on Wizard!

If it wasn’t for this contest, I wouldn’ have enjoyed the game.

Congratulations to the winner!

Here's how I made it. It seemed the best strategy was to go for outlying events; we didn't see that low total points and total touchdowns were correlated so a reasonable strategy to adopt. Congratulations and thanks for a fun event.

Charlie... I get a different number of total points than you do. I show Tommy711 with 223.61, Nathan with 123.08, etc. Can you figure out where our discrepancy is? I've uploaded my spreadsheet.

My only strategy was to pick the opposite of what I think people would pick. I needed to be even more opposite and I could have won.

Where I messed up badly was that damned 125 points accumulated.
In perhaps the lowest scoring SB of all time. Had I said 16 points, people would have been LAUGHING, and be like,"Wow, what a bad bet Nathan made," but be ASTOUNDED as that's what it ended up being.

I've corrected my figures as I changed it from when 10-3 to 13-3 and forgot 16 wasn't prime. So I agree.

Damn close call with Nathan. Good job finishing 5th!

Great job finishing 2nd Nathan!

And congrats for winning Tommy711!

Given my picks, i'm surprised I finished in the top half. Lol

Hey, I tied with unjon, boz, CharliePatrick, TomG, and chuckleberry for the most Props won, with 12.

Of course, it's not about the number of Props won, as Nathan demonstrated. Nathan won just six Props, yet finished in 2nd Place.

Fun game, thanks Wizard! I didn’t realize when I made my picks that this was a version of the three vendor problem.

For some of the questions could I have picked ANY number as a selection, even if the number was not a whole number , for example, prop 3. Total points, would 50.5 points have been a valid or invalid selection for this prop?

I didn't want to ask this until after the game, because I had already submitted my picks
If we were allowed to pick a ".5" number as well as a whole number, it would have meant "less chance" of splitting the 100 points for each question (for the props that required a number as the selection)

Also, thanks for the prop bet challenge, as It made a fairly "boring" game a lot more enjoyable.

This was Wizard's game, but I suspect a pick of 50.5 points (for example), would have most certainly been a valid selection. (If I were in charge of the game, I would have allowed it without a moment's hesitation.)

I found it interesting that of 47 players, no one selected the MoV to be 10.

That is interesting.

I actually considered an MoV of 6, 7 and 10 to start with, but I thought too many people would pick 7 or 10, so that is why I picked 6 ( a lot of the "yes/no" questions would split the points, so you had to try to be the "only winner" on something, to give yourself a good chance of coming out on top).

At least I didn't come "last", I think I was 2nd last : )

Congratulations Tommy!!! It will take two or three more months for the second version of my book to be out. If I forget to reach out, please PM me after I mention it to settle up. Or you can have the old version now with the cards.

Congratulations for winning Ms. Runner Up, Nathan! We almost did it. It looks like we made SOOPOO sweat that bet hard. That would have been epic if we had won. Free copy of my book to you too, when its out, or you can have the old version now.

My thanks to Ed and Charlie for scoring everything. I know it was time consuming and I appreciate your help.

Finally, my thanks to all who played. Let's do this again next year.

Thank you Wizard for making a fun game out of the biggest Dustbowl of game! :D If it weren't for you, this game would have been completely crappy. ;) Wow! I won Runner Up! :D I was not expecting to win Runner Up! There was a Celebration of Oscar Categories who could have won and it was titled,"It's An Honor To Be Runner Up," or something like that. Reminds me of this game. :)

You're welcome. I'm sure if you were expecting 125 points, that at 16 total points, the would have seemed rather boring.

I can imagine predicting 16 points and being LAUGHED at my crazy, crazy to win on just 16 points! Oh my God, I'm LAUGHING myself because choosing 16 points would have won on very, very, long odds. :D
