and the win probability for a favorite that has a 7 point tease is way higher than 50%.
one would expect the win streaks (and number of wins over a sample size)
to be way longer than the lose streaks.
that is simple probability.

people love to win until they lose
took me 60 years to start enjoying both

There are two three team (and one two team) teasers on page one of this thread. I refuse to track down what the other teasers were.

The only other two are from this week and were effectively 2 teamers. But you’re right, I didn’t remember about the other two. My apologies.

First, not everyone likes to disclose how much his/her bet size over the internet. Second, 5-0 record can be found all over the net but none to be found at this forum. WMW posted the picks before the games so we could jump in if we prefered. He did not ask for anything in return.
I personally appreciate what WMW is doing for us. Maybe one day 7craps will be posting some winning picks for the board.

You are, or want to be an AP, at least improve your EV and AP knowledge?

Other AP's on here watch and notice many things on this forum. Who you support and what you say could mean and be the difference in what and how other AP's view you. That could influence what information they are willing to share and if they are willing to work with you. i.e. think about ZK and his posts. He might be the best BJ player and the smartest guy in the world, however, others might not want to deal or work with him due to their assumptions based on his posts. Better safe than sorry is their logical thinking.

No real AP wants to work with or deal with people who believe in or follow GAMBLING nonsense. Especially, when money is on the line. Most AP's assume people like that don't get it. We assume that their nonsense might bleed into legit AP situations. We assume that nonsense could affect their decision making. Before I ever do anything AP related with someone on this forum, I go back and look at all their posts. If I see any signs of system play, strange theories, illogical thinking, bad gambling habits, lots of -EV betting, or I think they are following -EV betting, I tend to avoid them as far as AP goes. That doesn't mean I won't hang with or have a drink with them. That doesn't dislike them or can be friends with them. I truly never make final assumptions based on what somome posts, however, I will hold a big bias towards them depending on what they post and whatnot.

It's OK, Keep following and betting WMW's picks. Keep supporting him and believing in his nonsense.

Hopefully one day you will get it and figure it out. Lets Just hope it's not too late.

Thanks for the advice, Axel.
For WMW teaser. To me, I bet $5 or maybe $10 on it. It is recreation gambling. Winning it is great. Losing it means entertainment expense. I appreciate his effort of posting his picks. I am not good at sports betting at all. So for some fun and viewing excitement, I just put a few bucks in it.
I understand this is a math base forum. The casino business model is purely based on math. No more , no less.
I understand no system will beat the house edge in the long run. I might not be good at pure math but I am VERY GOOD at numbers and I understand the basic theory.
Thanks again Axel and other forum members.
But just dont be too harsh on WMW please.
For ZK, I said it long time ago. He is big trouble with BIG T. I think his view is twisted. Also he brings attention. That is not any AP wants to have.

Speedy C, don't let Axel bully you. I'm assuming you are an adult and can form your own opinions. He has a lot of audacity trying to tell you who you should or should not listen to. This is a huge red flag of insecurity.

Would any reasonable human being want to side with someone who posts winners consistently with positive commentary (unless attacked), or would they rather want to side with a negative, sinister, system exploiting bully with nothing positive or of value to add to the Forum other than trying to agitate people and get them suspended.? You can decide.

I'll keep posting picks,, don't worry.

Well, no, you won't. At least for the next 2 weeks.

For a guy who seems to have some brains, you sure are a slow learner on the personal insult front.

He said you were posting nonsense. He not only didn't attack you personally, he even left room for you guys to be friends if you ever met. In return, you called HIM a negative bully etc. There's a difference.

14 days. Personal insult. Should be double that, but some folks would like to play along with you before the season is over. I'm assuming you didn't just post this on purpose because the teaser bag is empty and you wanted the longer suspension. Guess we'll find out when you get back.

He/she seems to have disappeared once I expose that she's probably a sports handicapping touter

I am neither, (a he/she or a touter) so now you know.
I was celebrating with my Mom, kicking the asses of my late husbands' family.
They sued ME for everything after HE passed away!

They got his business because his brother IS half owner, duh, but not his money he had in two different accounts.
I got that.

and just cashed in ALL the tickets for Boston to win the world series (I am an Angel fan, my Uncle and Dad, Dodgers fans, my hubby a Boston fan - so he won his last bets!)
almost $1 million over 30 some odd casino sports books (that was fun)

Oh, Boston did win the World Series (wow, they slaughtered all to win it too)
Yahoo!!
(but I was a bit bummed when it looked like LA was about to tie the series at 2-2.)

Hey, you still have your free website here:
https://sites.google.com/view/watchmewin/home
Just PM me your teaser bets and I can update or you can just buy the site from me. (I sell it cheap)

Honest, I do not need any more money, my Mom loves more money

Did anyone really think the Dodgers were going to beat Boston?

All the bets were for my dead husband.

now the money is in 4 different accounts and IF his family wants a second round of lawsuits to get my late hubby's money,
I will concede this time, given that all his money not in his business accounts goes to his favorite charity.
I know he had a few but not in writing. that should tie things up for some time.
naturally, me and Mom keep the winnings as we had expenses to make and collect them all.

Yeah, I get your skepticism, if not your sarcasm. But I'm pretty sure you're wrong.

Mustang Sally has been a strong personality, sometimes abrasive, for years, but she's also the niece of another credible member, and consistently credible in her own right. She's also been a help to a lot of people, tackling complex math questions and providing spreadsheets. So, in all, and within her family group, yeah, I do believe they play at an expensive level.

Specific to MLB futures, again, yeah, if her husband was a big Red Sox fan, and he bet the first half of the year, at 30 different books, it doesn't seem unlikely he placed 50k-100k or more at good odds.

For example,

Quote: thespread.com

MLB Futures: 2018 World Series Odds (thru end of June)

New York Yankees 17/4

Houston Astros 19/4

Boston Red Sox 13/2

Washington Nationals 8/1

Chicago Cubs 9/1

Cleveland Indians 10/1

L.A. Dodgers 12/1

Seattle Mariners 12/1

Milwaukee Brewers 14/1

Arizona Diamondbacks 18/1

https://www.thespread.com/sports-betting-articles/062218-online-bookies-breakdown-mlb-futures-how-they-protect-profits

So +650 in June. It was still +475 on July 23rd, despite the Sox leading in wins.

https://nesn.com/2018/07/world-series-odds-red-sox-trail-astros-despite-leading-mlb-in-wins/amp/

I don't seem to Google well enough to get starting odds (ie Nov 2017) or find a trend chart. Maybe someone else has that resource or ability. (RIP steeldco! :( ) But I would guess someone tracking that line, like her husband would have, would have done considerably better than either of those lines when he placed them, with 9 months or so before he passed, to place them.

Sally doesn't say, but implies, that each of her family members bet some amount on their favorites, too. Or what agreements they might or might not have had as a family consortium pooling and betting, which is none of our business, but I'm sure it would be pretty interesting to a lot of people if she were to share the larger picture.

She mentioned 5 of them sharing an interest in different teams, so was it a net loss for the group? Did they take shares in each other? Again, not our business to know, but I'm very interested in how they did it.

I would guess her husband dying really disrupted things, too, to put it mildly. But I don't think you and others calling her out because she didn't post her sports bets, when she's made dozens of references to MLB betting in all kinds of posts for years, is a legitimate question.

Steeldco's signature was...

"DO NOT blindly accept what has been spoken. DO NOT blindly accept what has been written. Think. Assess. Lead. DO NOT blindly follow."

And on the face of it, you guys are following that advice. But if you think about and assess everything Sally has said and done, I think she has earned some slack from you guys.

Edit to add: Sally wrote a reply to your remark while I was writing this, but I'm going to leave it up anyway, FWIW. My response is directed at a dozen or more remarks directed at her, anyway - yours was just a jumping-off point.

And, as she said above, MLB bets are just a derail, though so much intertwined into pages of on-topic discussion about sports betting that I can't split it out without ruining the thread. But let's get back to NFL predictions instead.

Also taking a 3 team parlay - small $
Eagles -3
Redskins -PK
Minnesota - PK

well done
Parlay killer

"Last week, Hammer told his followers to back New Orleans in a pick'em game at Minnesota, calling it a "big revenge spot" and noting the Saints had covered 17 of their previous 22 road games. The result: New Orleans cruised to a 30-20 win. Anyone who followed his advice capped off their Sunday with a big win.

For NFL Week 9, Hammer has three best bets. Parlaying them would pay out at 6-1. One key part we can tell you: Goldberg loves the Panthers (5-2) laying 6.5 points against the visiting Buccaneers. Carolina has won eight of the last 10 meetings, going 7-3 against the spread."

You don't have to know much.

Read what the wiz says about teasers and you'll know plenty enough to know that both Sally and watch me are making losing plays, which is their right.

If you are going to make -ev teaser bets, or any other kind, for fun, why not make your own picks or bet on your favorite teams?

If you want to tail the random picks of some guy from a forum, obviously you can. But I don't see how that is fun.

His last teaser might have actually been +ev. Of course, that was the one he pushed.

A lot of people on the forum wanted to see his picks - he was 5-0 and some pushes (I think)

WMW and I have been bantering back and forth for a long time now. He knows what he can and can't say, this isn't his first time being suspended in this thread alone. Certainly, I was not the only one here that was razzing him. Out of all the razzers I probably did the least razzing. It certainly seemed to me as if he was attempting to get bated and he wanted to get suspended. Look at all the stuff he said to Sally. Here is just one
Quote: WatchMeWin

Btw... what happened to my dear friend mustang? He/she seems to have disappeared once I expose that she's probably a sports handicapping touter and most likely she is an alias or has multiple aliases. So group, who is Mustang really?

IIRC I was not even addressing him when he got suspended the last time.

I dont think I even commented on his picks or admonished him for posting them.(?) There is no need to since we have been down this road before with many guys posting up their picks and betting systems. JoleD comes to mind. I asked before, where is he now? IIRC he made some claims that failed and he never came back. WMW can post his picks and just ignore the naysayers. He can let his long-term results and post history to speak for itself.

What I explained to Speedycrap was good advice for some. Some may have understood what I was getting at and some may not.

I can't figure out why you are putting this on me. I urge you and others who think I was the one responsible for him going off the rails to go back to the start of this thread and read everything again.

At first I thought you meant this was a game.

You meant a parlay, I guess, and looks like you're going to be right.

Winning bets aren't boring, at least to me. :)

lots to choose from too

I also did the over on Carolina (55.5) as I mentioned it was going
"Carolina game now should be a high score game."

time to donate some winnings to charity
+ev for sure

must admit, a lot of work goes into each game, looking at matchups, injuries and stuff like that

do not know about next week yet
some mentioned B4 "Winning bets aren't boring"
especially when some R -ev

my thought about teasers:

if you tease a side your gain in points goes all to one team

if you tease a total your gain in points is split in half between 2 teams

it seems to me that teasing a side is a much better deal than teasing a total
I don't know, maybe I'm missing something

Because, while you might find an edge on a 7 point teaser once in a blue moon, 10 point teasers are pretty much guaranteed to be -EV.

Here is what The Wiz has to say about teasers.

Things are quite different when you post your bets before the game, huh?

I do not really make bets B4 a game starts. I like money line bets/ATS during the game. This has been told many times

I never said I would.
and this year I am only now at 89.77% win rate for ALL my bets I made, not counting the few I did make for my hubby on the Red Sox in MLB.

I started 3-0 on teasers when I had time to look at the games and such.
one has to look at the games too, not just the points, I think

I posted the two teasers
4 Sunday right B4 the games started and still I said
"I did them real fast as none interests me"
and they did not. Did not even bet them
but thought the 2 teamer would win (NOT! Eagles suck rocks and stones this year!)

I won my bets on Cleveland because I felt they were the better bet.
My mom bet the Browns right B4 the game started... but me, all 4 bets I made were during the game. Only 1 was when they were down 10-7. and most do not have access to these kind of bets, so I have been told.
and they happened to win.

Oh yes, since U asked, I did bet that New England would LOSE Sunday
when they were losing 27-10.
the money line (on William Hill) had just been taken down, then it came back on for 2 plays. I don't know why, but got that bet in, and won it.
That one was so easy, cuz watching the game you knew NE did not want to win it.

now, money line bets during the game
can get +ev
many times
before they are stopped being offered.
I do not know who is in control of them, next to a computer program, or what the max bet even is.
my largest bet just 4 figures (like me)

Sally

added:
My 2 longest win streaks this year at sports betting is 36 in a row (to start the year)
Then I went on a 57 bet win streak!
That was fun!
a few games I got lucky and won on the last play to keep my streak alive.

You posted a month ago that your sports betting record was 309-31 this year.

Does that include teasers, for which you went 0-2 this past weekend?

And what’s your updated record? 588-33 ?

I did not bet those two teasers. Just one of them. (thanks Eagles!)

I really do not like betting (making bets) before the game starts with the exception of some NCAAF money line bets were I know the bet will not be offered as soon as the game starts.
Utah St last Saturday comes to mind.

my record is now 351-40
and a few of those losses were NCAAF bets B4 the game started.
just do not like doing that.
some do, but do not have fun while the game plays out.

'Clears his throat'.... Sally, Stan, Stephen, Steph... whoever you are, please step aside and let the master continue his triumph of winning teasers on this thread. You have infected it you with multiple flaws. You thought it could be so easy so you wanted to jump in... you got lucky your first week, which was the easiest week in the NFL.. (https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2804548-espn-nevada-sportsbooks-lost-7-10m-from-sundays-nfl-week-9-action). Even frauds like you were able to make a winning post.

You like to tout CBS.. what is your deal with them? Are picks yours or only when you win they are yours... like the Carolina over which you want to claim credit for... after you previously stated that CBS picked it. You forgot? You are the one who plagiarizes! Shame on you... You are a blatant plagiarizer!

You say sports betting is for losers and you cant win.... but you obviously are heavily vested in sports wagering. So sad.

You called your late husband many bad names, but arent you benefiting from his loss monetarily? If he was such a degenerate sports bettor / gambler, why are you following in his footsteps. Have you ever made real money on your own?

Your hedge in stating that you put those teaser picks without really studying the games is comical and downright insulting to the intelligence of the board. You had an out once the teasers lost right? Oh , its because you didnt really look things over... HAHAHA You a funny one!

Look, give it up... you stink at picking sports... probably stink at gambling in general. Step aside and let the master bring his undefeated record up exponentially in coming weeks for the grateful ones.... 'Drops Mic'

why not show my whole quote?
I actually waited to 1 hour B4 the games started on Sunday, hoping to make a couple teaser picks that would lose. and they did. I actually bet the one with the loser Eagles in it after seeing they were off for a week.

I did not want to be 5-0 on teasers (I had a 57 sports betting win streak this year already that followed a 36 win streak) and show up all the experts out there and here.
3-2 is still a winning record.
it is all about winning
