Mission said yesterday WoN will continue, about 6 or so posts before mine. I didn't see it before I wrote my post. For some reason (not that it really matters) the placeholder that allows you to read where you left off skipped about 8 posts in this thread yesterday, including the one about WoN. But I'm glad we all agree he should continue.
If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

I also don’t know if everyone ended up seeing my post or not, but I cited the actual Rules of this game that state that banned members may continue to pick by E-Mail.
Anyway, it doesn’t come up too often, but I started this game in 2012 and the ability to E-Mail Picks if one is banned has always been addressed by Rule 6. In fact, it’s in the original and never Edited post of the first 2012 WoV Picks Game.
The only real Rule 6 change that has ever happened is what time the Picks are due.
Anyway, just wanted to clarify this isn’t a one-off decision or Commissioner call; it’s always been in the Rules of the game.
Obviously, WoN will not be able to play next year. The Rule is intended only to protect the interests of those already engaged in a season.
I also don’t know if everyone ended up seeing my post or not, but I cited the actual Rules of this game that state that banned members may continue to pick by E-Mail.

No sports bettor should ever make a wager without a clear statement of the line that he is wagering against. And I am the type of picker who will change a pick with a line shift of 0.5 pts. BUT, its now less than 23 hrs until the deadline for submitting picks, and I need to submit picks or run a real risk of not submitting anything (and I've already used my skip week.) So, I am taking Miplet's posted lines and going with it. If official lines get posted later that are different, I reserve the right to call FOUL.
So many better men, a few of them friends, are dead. And a thousand thousand slimy things live on, and so do I.

What was Chris Collingsworth talking about, with the reference to "there's been enough of that already this season"? They were talking about Dallas taking a forced TO for an injury inside 2 min. And speculating that players know that rule and might or sometimes have tried to pick somebody up who's hurt, and hurt them worse. Did that happen once or more?
I also thought that was bizarre, that Oakland lost possession on the fumble forward into the end zone. Why would an experienced qb not just protect the ball with 31 seconds left rather than stretching and exposing the ball? If he'd stayed airborne until it broke the plane, would it have been a touchdown even as he lost it?
And apparently something I missed was a down measurement where the ref checked the gap with a piece of paper?
Crazy games earlier, too. Having this picks game makes it a lot more fun to watch the season. But 3 close games in a row, I'd watch anyway.

Yes, if Carr had broken the plane with that ball, that would have been a TD, even if he lost the ball a moment later. On a running play like that, the moment the ball breaks the plane it's a TD. He was attempting, of course, to do just that, by extending the ball. He wasn't planning on fumbling it.

The only good thing to come out of that was it pushed with Steelers +3. I was foolish enough to feel false hope when they called that defense pass interference. Alas...

That being the case, absent any evidence of a prior default strategy, (I looked and don't see one, but if he says there is, I'll look again) he is effectively eliminated as he only qualifies for first place and is mathematically eliminated from that. I'll stick my neck out and say I like the Dolphins pick a wee little bit, 58% confidence. I don't love any of them. I want to say I like Cowboys over ever so slightly. My confidence level on that is 50.4675%.

If he goes 5-1 he goes 58 - 39, and finishes just short of 60% at .5979. If he goes 6-0 he amazingly hits .6082. For those who don't remember, if he is above 60% I owe Mission $200. If below 60%, Mission owes me $100. Wiz has around a 3% chance of being perfect this week, assuming random picks. Assuming he really can pick 60%, he still is less than 8% to go 6-0. I like my bet, and if I lose, I will tip my hat to Wiz, and Mission for having the balls to make the bet.

Also note that the Wiz could go 5-0, and if so that's also a win for Mission. (0.6042)
