I have nothing to say about anything as I went 2-3.
I am now an unacceptable 8-11 for .421 on the season. I hate the Oakland Raiders. I'm also no longer going out of my way to pick underdogs...lol...I did a perfectly fine job going 2-3 last week just based on who I actually thought was going to beat the spread!!!
Fortunately, I had a buddy of mine giving me Hell when the Patriots were down 14-7 at the Half, I said, "Nothing to worry about, they'll be fine, might not beat the -4 spread I have on them on my game, but they'll win." He asked me to put my money where my mouth is, I asked him to Lay 2:1 where his mouth is and he did! $25 bet = +$50, so I'm not too upset!

Just went straight to Bovada, they've still got it at Denver +7, at least. If I had a 5Dimes.eu account, I'd probably try to get a piece of that DEN +7.5, and I'm an NE homer, but with the Lines dropping everywhere else, it seems like the smart money likes that Line.

Since my disqualification in the Trivia contest, I will try to level the field here. It has been rumored that I am just picking home dogs.
While the majority of my picks wound up being those, I am still offended.

It should have been clear that the person with the highest % wins and not the lowest. I do not see that in the rules. The loser might have an argument for a high-low split if not too embarrassed to ask...ha ha ha

Unfortunately, neither is available in Grand Junction. I have a PHDH degree Professional handicapper of Dogs and Horses lol.

I have lived in Fort Lauderdale for the last 35 years and love the dog track. They used to have one in Kenosha Wisconsin near my home town and we went on the last day before they closed it about 3 years ago.
You should be able to bet the dogs online. I know you can bet horses and cash back or reduced (or something) on 5dimes.
Wizard likes Bovada so they might have something there too.
I bet all locks for tomorrow......

!976 I was living in Denver when P L Greer ( Little Man ) ran at Mile high. He had won 48 of 49 marathon races at Multnomah in Oregon.
He dominated at Mile High, then Colorado Springs. When the only dog that beat him showed up at Springs I loaded up on the sweetest $10 Quinella ever. They ran 1, 2 11 or 12 times in a row. Then P.L. broke slow one night and did not hit the board. WTF.
Officials checked for toes sewn together, took blood sample, etc.
Actually best guess is he mis-timed the break. You could look for RUSTY thru a screen mesh window and PL Greer hit the box so hard it cracked his plastic face guard.
Switch on here claims he could beat the dog races, but you know how the English love to exaggerate. Unlike American blokes, like me !

While in church tomorrow, I will pray that a few of my picks lose. But if that does not happen, it has been suggested to me by Mission 146 that I let my grand-daughter Gracie post her selection. She is 5 and knows her alphabet, but it not a good speller. Mission 146 will PM me if he has trouble deciphering her picks.

You could also PM Buzz as I think that he would give you some help and some picks unless that is against the rules. Would anyone really complain if you are below 30% anyway? I wouldn't. Plus, Buzz might get a taste of that standard deviation.....on the wrong end...ha ha ha
Talk about your negative variance, Wow!!!!!!! Did you read the thread that I started about variance? On a serious note, it does help to know so one can implement proper bet size as a 60% capper can lose 8 straight. Happens way less than 1% of the time but happens!!

Atlanta v. Washington was the game where the O/U was at 51, so we've got two out of three criteria that says he picked that game. I'm going to treat it as a pick of Atlanta v. Washington, OVER 51, which is a losing pick. The Green Bay/Indy game would have been a winner at OVER 51, but it was 47.5, so I don't think that's the one he meant.

Interestingly, while there are Seven Players on the right side of .500 and Eleven players (discluding me) on the wrong side of .500, our league is 235-200 or .540 as a group. That's really pretty good. If you include me (since I'm picking) we would be 246-213 for .536.

It's perfectly fine, Vendman1, that's essentially what happened to me when I posted SF +4 instead of -4 for Week 4. I should have just increased the screen to 125% or 150% and lined it up, but I thought I could see them all clearly by squinting. Yahoo! only posted from four sources last week, so it was easy to see it without having to do anything else.
