Hello everyone,
I realized I have enough points on my casino card to buy several $100+$100 match plays for slots (you give them $100 and they give you $200 back in promo credits).
What’s the best way to exploit these?
Play lowest bets possible in order to minimize variance before meeting the cashout threshold, or play big bets in the hope of hitting a goal like in rebates?
Thanks

It depends on what you want to accomplish. Do you want to sacrifice EV for something closer to a less variable actual return? Do you know any advantage slot plays? Can you play the free play on Video Poker or Video Blackjack?

Ideally yes.
However I’m also interested to know how much EV I’m sacrificing in case I decide to play a higher variance option.

Yes, however the variable state ones are hard to find in a +EV situation these days.

I don’t think the VP is legit at this place, and I’m not sure I can play it on video BJ but it’s possible and it would be interesting to explore that option too.

If you're doing it on slots, then it is impossible to know the answer to your first question. The way that you would ensure a very high probability of some sort of return is to bet as low as you can tolerate on a relatively low variance option. Something with lots of play lines at $0.01/line would be decent for this, probably.

That they are. I'm also not sure that you would necessarily want to play those using Free Play. I tend not to do that, unless it's the sort of play where I'd use all the free play (or be expected to) in one shot. If you're loading little bits of free play here and there on multiple variable state machines, call it an overabundance of caution, but I don't think it looks good.

Is it a Class II place? Native American casino? If the VP isn't random, then there's a good chance the BJ isn't either. If you wish to PM me just the state the casino is in, unless you're comfortable posting it publicly, then I can look into the Tribal Compact with the state and determine if they even have Class III machines, unless you have already done that.
