I didn't win it, but recently someone won $98, 000 at a local casino on a slot. I don't know the girl that won it, but thought to myself, that's life changing money for her.

The girl's name was on the check so I assumed she pushed the button. That has got to affect the relationship with the male in the photo with her. I don't know whether they're married, just dating or what.

Anyone know of that situation with that kind of
slots winning money that ruined or saved a relationship? Made the news?

Thanks

How do you know that's life changing money for her? She could have 1mm+ in her 401k.

I'm not talking about her. What I think about her doesn't matter. I'm interested in people where their lives were changed for goodor bad..

A guy I slightly knew on Long Island won $12,000 on a Joker Poker machine. The bar paid him in cash and two guys followed him when he left. They confronted him in front of a neighbors house and stabbed him to death. One of the two was a 17 year old who washed dishes at the bar. Everyone thought the bar was behind it but only the two men were charged and the DA tried to make it into an MS-13 type killing.

When I won a lot of money at bars I would have them discretely put the money in a "to go food container". I figured no one would try to steal my "hamburger".
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

Have you got a photo? Sounds like the anonymous couple from Youtube channel ‘My Slotty Obsession’. They won the grand for a total of 98k around that time. Would be interested to know if it was them.

One of my mentors in the bar business was a retired NYPD Emergency Services Officer. He was injured on the job, took early retirement, and bought a bar. Although I never worked for him, he kind of took me in and taught me quite a bit.
One night, just before closing, a customer stopped in his bar and gave him some Chinese food. He wasn't hungry and was taking it home . A local sleazebag saw him leaving the bar with a bag, assumed it was the receipts, and bashed him in the back of the head with a piece of rebar. He was in a coma for weeks and never fully recovered.
The difference between fiction and reality is that fiction is supposed to make sense.
