In looking at it more carefully, if you have reel 5 wild only and no coins, then don't play. However, it is marginal to complicate the strategy rules for both coins and wilds.
That said, for an 86% game, I recommend playing with at least two wilds in the first three reels.

How many times did you hit Free Games and on what total bets?

Well, assuming the 107% estimate is right, playing through all of that and hitting no Free Games, your results were perfectly within reason. It could have actually been a lot worse.

107% would be plus EV; it's just that the bonus doesn't cease to be part of that 107%. That's why, when I saw your overall result, I assumed you either didn't hit any bonuses or only hit them at one of the lower bet amounts.
(Edited to Add): Actually, I didn't absolutely assume that. It's just the most likely case given an overall loss on 25 configurations of that nature.

It is close in the sense that it would be +EV if you also have another coin. In other words, it is not playable unless you have a very high payback setup like a high-limit game in some jurisdictions.Quote: McSweeneyI wouldn't say it's not CLOSE.
