Fruit Ninja Slot Tournament

Recently played in a Fruit Ninja slot tournament at NYNY in Las Vegas. They ran it daily every 15 minutes with 6 players at a time. Qualification for one entry was 100 points earned in other slot machines.
It was different than the classic slot tournament because it required skill to get a good score rather than just pressing the spin button as fast as possible. And it was pretty fun! They paid out a total of $1000 in slot play to the top 5 spots.
Just wondering if anyone has seen this being played at other casinos in Vegas or elsewhere? Was interesting to see a skill based slot tournament.
