How to Play Poker Cash Games: Rules, Tips & Bankroll Management
https://www.cardplayer.com/rules-of-poker/how-to-play-poker/poker-cash-games
I got my old PS3 Poker (WSOP 2008) game going and right now I've got to win some cash games to get my bankroll off the ground. I get free entries to $1K to $5K cash game tourneys that I can leave at any time. The problem is that I'm getting shut out before I get anywhere near quintuple my money. I think I should leave before hand 60 because the blinds keep doubling every 9 hands, so a $20 Big Blind becomes more than my $1K buy-in after 6 doubles (it's probably not that bad, it might just go up by $20 increments instead). There's 9 players at the table so if I knock them all out I can get all the money. But I know I'll almost never make it that far so I'll settle for a quintuple-up before 60 hands.
I picked up this strategy card off the internet, not that I'll stick to it. (I can't upload it.)
2nd hand of new $5K cash game had Jennifer Tilly losing with a J-10-10 to Men Nguyen with J-J on an all-in showdown worth $9,850. The big blinds usually start out at 1/50th the buy-in or $50-$100 with a $5K buy-in.
3rd hand had Scott Fishman losing with two pair to Men Nguyen's trips for a $10,150 pot, so Men is at $15K now.
24th hand, I won a $7.75K all-in pot with trips drawn on the river.
34th hand I lost a heads-up on a $14K pot. A couple hands later I won another heads-up for $4K all-in with a straight. Blinds just went up to $300/$600 from $200/$400.
It got around hand 66 and the blinds were $600/$1200 and I had to go head to head with the chip leader by a long shot, and got up to around $17K but lost it all back over a few hands. I didn't know how to cash out with $17K. It says Exit the game and lose all unsaved information so I didn't do that. That game took awhile, I had better make time to get through 70-80-ish hands next time.
This game sometimes checks my hole cards with the Bluff Magazine hole card camera after I win a hand. There's a couple of announcers telling the home viewers what's going on in the game. There's also big band music in the background. There's also the Wrigley's Next Card Camera when the river card doesn't get played because everybody but one folded on the turn card.
There's also a BJ and Video Game screen I missed.
This game has weeks of tournaments but they cost money so I have to win some cash games to pay for those tournaments,

the next time Dame Fortune toys with your heart, your soul and your wallet, raise your glass and praise her thus: “Thanks for nothing, you cold-hearted, evil, damnable, nefarious, low-life, malicious monster from Hell!” She is, after all, stone deaf. ... Arnold Snyder
