From looking at the Wizard's page on Pai Gow, it refers to treating the house way as a basic strategy outside of the two pair situation, but is there a consensus "optimal" house way relative to all of the others?

Outside of two pair situations, there are very very few differences between house ways and those differences only come up once every several thousand hands. You're down to breaking up full houses, deciding between hands that contain both straights and flushes, etc.
