Most of this came in one hand.

That is one nice candy bar! Congrats on earning it!

I turned over my reserved table after I was done. Some small player won some off it easily I watched for a bit if I’d kept playing I would’ve easily won another couple hundred thousand but a half mill seemed like a great stopping point and I kept getting close to it and back to around +400K until I finally closed the gap.

If I ever wore 4, 5 or 6 figures on my wrist, I'd be paralyzed with fear that someone would chop my hand off to steal it...

SOOPOO is like that too! After one successful Vegas trip I had (by my standards!) a lot of cash. Less than 5 figures though. If felt weird having that much cash in my pocket. The AP’s here likely carry a large multiple of that every day. Without blinking an eye.
Mrs. SOOPOO wears a $$ wedding ring, and I am resigned to it being lost or stolen at some point. Hopefully not….!

Surely your insurance guy has photos and an appraisal to go with the rider he sold you.

Surely not.
Insurance tends to be a huge -EV purchase.
True story. The ring I gave first wife was from my grandmother. Who bought it from my divorced mother. It was stored in a Philly Cream Cheese tub in my grandmother’s freezer. My father got it from a guy who couldn’t pay his gambling debts. Grandmother thought it wasn’t a good stone, not a nice ring, etc…. I couldn’t afford a ring so grandmother said to see if wife to be wanted it. She said, ‘Oh my God, it’s gorgeous’. We’ll get it cleaned and take it. Fast forward. 1982. Get it appraised. $20k!!!
Insurance on the ring alone was going to be $600 a year! Med student SOOPOO couldn’t afford it, so we ‘winged it’. Present ring I easily could afford insurance, but am winging it again…..

Get a lab made stone, and you won't have to worry about insurance or theft or loss!

So does divorce!
Hedging may be the wise play, even if it's not the smart play.

Another back and forth day but also - at two different casinos so this is where loss rebate goes into play especially with the terms I have in place.

Interesting. If I’m reporting a ‘session’ I would include the loss rebate in my total. So if you lost $250k but got $25k back unfettered I’d report it as a loss of $225k! So I’d consider those two sessions as a $30k win.
Getting a loss rebate on a very low house edge game like baccarat is sweet.
