Hello, I'm a first-time poster and apologize if this is the wrong place to post but I'm in a pickle.

I have to do my 2019 taxes for the stimulus, don't worry I'll make this quick, and have lost the W2G from Harrah's Socal from last year. They are closed and no one can help, I reached out to hosts with no avail and told I have to wait until they open up again... who knows when that will be.

So I'm hoping someone out there might have their federal ID and maybe entity name they put on their W2G so I can finally get my taxes done and stimulus payment. FYI - my 2018 taxes were done with a totally different address and bank info and was sent there ... smh.

Any help is appreciated and any clues to if this is the right place for posting is also welcomed.

Is it just one W2G? You should remember the amount. And are you asking for the correct name of Harrah's Resort Southern California and its taxpayer ID number?

First, I would try to fill out your tax form with as much info as you have.

It is okay if someone here gives you the tax ID number that Harrah's uses. I don't have it or I would.

I'm guessing you called them on the phone?

All of that information is available from the IRS. They will print you a copy of the information for every W2, W2G, 1099, etc. that was reported to them.

I think that time is of the essence for the original poster. She needs to have her return filed. I don't think she can wait.

Have any of you received a W2G from Harrah's SoCal in 2019 so you can give their official name and tax ID number? Don't worry. This is not am attempt at identity theft. If I had played there I'd give it. But I haven't been there in years and it was before their name change. I don't know if the tax ID number changed with their name, either.

Yes, just one W2G, but it was a big win :-). Yes, I have the amount, and I am trying to find the correct entity name attached to its taxpayer ID.

I called Harrah's and a recorded message says they are closed until further notice, not even an option to leave voicemail or be routed anywhere.

I also reached out to my host and after a little back and forth told me I would only be able to get the information when they reopen. I asked for the tax ID and she didn't give it.

So anyone with this info that would be able to pass it on to me, it would be greatly appreciated! Feel free to DM me if you are more comfortable that way than posting here.

So I can ask the IRS and they'll print me a copy of my W2G from Harrahs? I'm not sure they will do that, never heard of that done anyway.

I have one from 2018 on hand, and I don't think they change from year to year? PM'd.

Correct. It doesn't change from year to year. There might have been a change in the tax number when the name was changed... but even then the tax number could have remained.

What number did you call? I'd try the one for the group who is handling TITO and chip redemptions during the closure.

I'm surprised someone who managed one W2 from the casino has a host, but maybe I'm not familiar with how hosts work in that casino.
The difference between fiction and reality is that fiction is supposed to make sense.
