Thanks, Gandler, for your reply.

About 6 months after I posted the above visit of 911 sites, another terrorist had bombed Manhattan and Seaside Park. You, I & many spectators could get killed if he bombed the AC Boardwalk during The Atlantic City Triathlon. Why did the bomber skip AC and choose to bomb Seaside Park instead? I don't know for sure. Perhaps he didn't want to hurt his fellow Muslims who have made a living thru "push carts/rolling chairs"" along the AC Boardwalk. Or perhaps he didn't like all those new cameras installed recently along the Boardwalk. Can you guys figure out why?

Here is a good write up on the bombings:

http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/09/19/nyregion/chelsea-bombing-explosion-maps-timeline.html?_r=0

Its sad.

And, I honestly have no idea what would go through his mind as to why one city over the other.

That is an interesting theory, but I would guess, it is more likely he simply thought AC would not be busy enough to be worth attacking (which unfortunately is often a correct assumption). ISIS does not seem to have any moral issues with killing Muslims (Muslims are their main victims), so I doubt it would be a major factor.

I have actually been out of AC (down in GA for work) for a few months so I know nothing about the cameras. But, that may be another factor.

Today and tomorrow Atlantic City hosts the annual Marathon. There will be 3,000 runners and at least 10,000 spectators on AC Boardwalk.

The Almighty helps those who help themselves. So let's do our part seriously first (i.e., keeping an eye out for pressure cooker hidden in a large backpack), and then let's pray for safety of runners, their families, & the AC guys. Amen.

To keep you guys on your toes, I'm going to quiz you guys with 4 true or false questions:

1) A guy removes Donald Trump's name with a sledgehammer and a pickaxe from Taj Casino.
2) A guy removes Donald Trump's name with a sledgehammer and a pickaxe from Trump Plaza Casino.
3) A guy removes Donald Trump's name with a sledgehammer and a pickaxe from Trump Marina Casino.
4) A guy removes Donald Trump's name with a sledgehammer and a pickaxe from the Walk of Fame star on Hollywood Blvd.

The answer:
I'm OK with Corps which pick and choose clienteles. Both insurance companies and casinos have the right to pick and choose customers. They may keep profitable ones and kicked out the rest. Thanks for the link to the story.

We need another "Bob Nersesian" in AC to fight for APs' perfect right to gamble. Currently AC casinos have circumvented the ruling of Uston vs Resorts. The ruling sez AC casinos can't ban APs, but AC casinos indirectly ban APs by eviction orders with phony accusations.

Here is a real example. An AC casino bans an AP. AP mails the casino a certified letter which cites the ruling. The casino answers & sez: "We are in compliance with the ruling. You're evicted NOT for ********* [aka APing], but for ******* [phony accusation]." I kid you guys not.

No APs for casinos to ban? Hmmm... The fact speaks louder than speculation.

Every AP-catcher is still employed in the AC casinos (i.e., Catcher "R" in Borg, "N" in Bally's, "J" in GN, "B" in Trop, etc...); therefore, there are still APs for the catchers to do a job on. Otherwise, why do AC casinos waste money on catchers' salaries?

The DGE recently posted the AC Casinos' winnings for Oct.

http://www.nj.gov/oag/ge/docs/Financials/PressRel2016/October2016.pdf

Borg is still the leader of the pack. It won $64,170,709 from gamblers. Resorts replaced Taj in the ranking list. It came in last. It only won $14,295,876 from gamblers.

Which casino will be likely the next one close down? Without Taj (closed on 10/10), Resorts got much less foot traffic (as reported by its dealers). Its winnings in Oct dropped from 14,819,898 to 14,295,876... a $500,000 drop!

with 7 casinos left, I think they will all survive (until North Jersey gets casinos).

With revel, showboat, and taj gone, Resorts now has a monopoly at that end of the boardwalk.
they (or atlantic city govt) need to create promos to drive people up that way,

if resorts closes, that end of the boardwalk will be a ghost town.
and I predict crime will go up near there.

How do you defend yourself when you're attacked in AC? Should you carry a legal defensive weapon (i.e., the Unbreakable® Umbrella) at all time?

Don't laugh at me. You could be the next victim. Some years ago, 2 Toronto tourists were butchered to death near Bally's Casino during an attempted purse snatching. The 2 Canadian women got nothing to defend themselves & died unfortunately

Recently some mob beat and robbed a driver who got nothing to defend himself (watch the video below). The crazy "highway robbery" (in disguise) can happen in AC too.

By the way, only a few decades ago some mob also beat up a driver likewise (watch the video below).

Don't leave home to AC without a defensive weapon. When next time you get beat up without anything to defend yourself, remember me. I warn you guys first.

If ever a post should be removed, it's this one.

You post a video of someone attacking a driver for supporting Trump. Then you post a video, which is is at least 30 years old, in response to the Rodney King incident.

What do thes videos have to do with AC?

I have been to AC HUNDREDS OF TIMES and never had any incidents.

Competition among AC casinos is good for gamblers. Resorts offers free parking and tries to grab gamblers from Caesars & Bally's.

Why will weekend-warriors pay $25 to Caesars/Bally's for parking when Resorts offers free parking?

Resorts sez it's free parking now

The above beautiful & touchy song "This day in new Jerusalem" was sung during his funeral Mass. Here are lyrics:

"May the angels welcome you to Paradise, may the martyrs greet you on
your way, may you see the face of the Lord this day, Alleluia, Alleluia.
Saints of God, come and lead you, to the Holy City, the new and eternal
Jerusalem, Alleluia, Alleluia.
They will all come out to meet you, in the kingdom of God, where Lazarus
is no longer poor, Alleluia, Alleluia.
I am the resurrection and life, they who put faith in me will have
eternal light and peace, Alleluia, Alleluia."

I wish that I read the above write-up a few days ago. I missed an opportunity to help a mugged lady on the AC Boardwalk.

The lady yelled: "HELP! STOP THAT ROBBER! HE ROBBED ME OF MY MONEY!" I saw a man running toward me & away from the lady who chased after him. I could have trip that mugger, but I didn't. I just told that lady to call the cop. The mugger ran away and disappeared into the night behind the JFK Plaza. If you were me, what would you have done?

It doesn't pay to be an hero. Sometimes hero becomes zero/bankrupted. A jury orders a robbery-victim to pay $43 Million to a robber. The robbery-victim lost the case to one of the "hoodlums," "criminals," "savages," "punks," "low-lifes," and "thugs" who attempted to rob him in a subway.

Here are why tourists don't want to come back to Atlantic City:
1) the tourists pay a $25-price-gouging-parking-fee &
2) after they park their cars, then they have to see this unsightly street right off the Boardwalk & Convention Hall:

The landlord should be handcuffed & brought to AC municipal court for violations of the sanitation/health codes.

I so remember going to AC in the early 80's, before the casinos built Parking garages. These lots had a license to print money as you would pay $20-$50 a day to park there just to go to a casino. And they would be packed.

"The Genting Group ... is developing Resorts World Las Vegas with nearly $1 billion of program money. The $4 billion project includes 3,100 rooms and 100,000 square feet of gambling space..."

I'm OK with Corps which pick and choose clienteles. Both insurance companies and casinos have the right to pick and choose customers. They may keep profitable ones and kicked out the rest. But, I'm not OK with a casino supervisor who says counting cards... is like stealing food from a buffet (a foodlifting offense), or video-taping a movie in a cinema (a piracy offense).

Where is the best place to sleep for a few hours free in AC? The old Showboat's bus depot was the answer. Now I find another place to sleep for several hours free. I don't want too many APs to know about it. PM me for the place.

I once was so tired driving home, but I needed to sleep/nap for my safety. No rest stops. Hmm? Maybe that gas station? Nnnope. Home depot? Hell no. I'm no day laborer. Awe, jackpot, the perfect place right over there. I'll sleep in that hotel parking lot. Seemed perfect, it's dark, everyone is sleeping and nobody will notice or look. Slept a few until daylight and the action of people leaving woke me up. I've never had to do it again, but hotel parking lots are the perfect place if you have a car, especially with a back seat that folds, almost necessary. Naturally you must place blankets over seats and rear window area, tent like, to hide the human cargo.
With the blanket canopy, you could do about anything with privacy. Been forgetting to get, as fleastiff would say, some sweet young thing back there. I'm getting old, so might have to not be young.😁😂

In Atlantic City, I was told the decks aren't safe, but I bet they are. Either go for a busy area w foot traffic, near an exit, or the roof floor. The most important thing is dont park without a wall behind the rear of the car. If somebody rear ends the car while you're vulnerable sleeping, I think you could be killed.
I am a robot.

BBB suggests me to redact my post. OK, it's done/undo.

I would suggest this is one of those posts that would best not be posted. You're suggesting some kind of fraud/vagrancy here, probably illegal though possibly tolerated by the unwitting hosts. At best, you're "killing the play" by publishing it.

If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

So let's just say on the N.Y.C. subway there is a group of young Thugs w/screwdrivers going out to rob vending machines. They stand over a seated skinny nerdy looking guy with glasses and say "gibsme 5 dolla" if it wasn't a robbery it was damned near it.
I remember the case well. Bernhardt Goetz was labeled the subway vigilante.
He was found guilty I believe for weopons offences.
The actual shooting itself was justified. The gun he carried was not.
The civil verdict was the result of 4 black and 2 Hispanic jurors, the thugs were all black, the defendant was white....

Anybody try out Pharaoh’s Secret Temple (match 3) or Nothin’ but Net (basketball shots) ? I believe they should be out now but I haven't seen them in person. (trop, harrahs, Caesars, ballys, i think) It seems like the consensus was Danger Arena was a stinker but these two seem more promising. According to the CEO of GameCo they have a ton of future titles lined up. (next ones up are a viking game and a quick draw western game) It seems like the casinos are willing to rotate through these new games until they find something that sticks.

Assume the worst, believe no one, and make your move only when you are certain that you are unbeatable or have, at worst, exceptionally good odds in your favor.
