Scientific Games and Caesars Entertainment Partner to Launch the OpenSports Suite at Indiana Grand Racing & Casino

On September 1, 2019, Scientific Games Corporation and Caesars Entertainment partnered up to unveil a retail sportsbook solution via OpenSports in the state of Indiana at Caesar’s Indiana Grand Racing & Casino in Shelbyville. The duo makes history as the collaboration results in the first physical location in the whole state to accept sports bets. Indiana is number five on the list of sports betting partnerships secured by the companies in their quest for expansion across the United States.

According to the Indiana Grand Racing Casino website, guests will “Enjoy convenient access to horse racing and delicious pub and bar offerings. Winner's Circle will offer state-of-the-art sports betting technology, high-definition televisions and luxury seating. Guests will be able to wager on professional football, basketball, baseball, wrestling, and select Division 1 college sports. With more than 100 events over the course of the year, we are thrilled to expand our entertainment offerings to the world of sports betting. Get off the sidelines and get into the action!”

Caesars is set to launch sports betting within an additional six Indiana properties this month including Horseshoe Hammond, Horseshoe Southern Indiana Hotel and Casino, and Harrah's Hoosier Park Racing & Casino.

Scientific Games’ OpenSports suite is comprised of numerous products including:

Open Platform: Providing account management, which includes promotional offers and bettor wallet
Open Trade: Range of risk management tools
Open Engage: Presents omni-channel options for mobile, online and retail environments
Open Accelerate: A product designed to aid operators in increasing earnings through daily sportsbook operations

This year, the companies have partnered to bring sports betting solutions to Iowa, Mississippi, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania and intend to eventually roll out the OpenSports suite across Caesars casino properties in Illinois and North Carolina.

Apart from the United States and other recent contracts such as the deal with Oneida Indian Nation, Scientific Games established a footprint in Turkey with the exclusive national sports betting program.
