Going to Las Vegas in November!

So I am headed to Sin City in November. I have been researching the best casinos to visit in Vegas for slots. Supposedly the Palms, Gold Coast, and Stratosphere casinos are supposedly have the loosest slots in Vegas so I will definitely visit those. We will probably stay at the Flamingo because it sits in the middle of the strip. I booked some shows for the wife already and researched some nice places to eat but I need to get ready to find that “magical slot”!

I thought I would brush up on my black jack playing to just in case I would like to hit a table or two. I know how to play poker but it isn’t really my thing. I don’t have a mathematical system when I gamble, I tend to just go with hunches and feeling and so far I’ve done fairly well. I guess I could learn to incorporate different methods to possibly see better results.

Not to change the subject to far from casinos. I head to the second floor of the casino I regularly visit and I happened upon a bunch of TV’s that were televising horse racing. Now I have always saw the OTB (Off Track Betting) locations around my City and the race tracks at the casinos but never really paid them attention. So I thought I was just sit and see if I could predict the winning horses for any of the races. For the three horses I picked, not one placed less than third place and I thought that maybe I should try my luck in this area. I probably lose money a lot more slowly than at the slots lol!

Remember about the State Taxes when gambling!!

Ok so since my forray into slot playing I have learned a few things about the state taxes and gambling. In the state of New York when you win you PAY!! I made about $3000 dollars (on the books, more like $6000 but the other half was in small winnings) last year in slot jackpots give or take. When you go to that cage and they take your social security number you better beleive that is earned money that they are taxing. The trick to not paying as many taxes is to make sure you know what the taxable limit is at your local casino. In New York it is $600 dollars so if I have $550.00 dollars on one redemmable ticket make sure that I cash in the ticket and break it down into $100 or $20 dollar bills and then continue to play. Once you break that mark they tax your winning by 30% to 40% so automatically if you win say $1000 dollars on one redeemable ticket you should save $400 of it too pay taxes the next YEAR!!!!! DAMN!

I actually won about $1400 dollars the day after labor day but when I got to the cashier they automatically took 400 caused I owed it from the year 2013 go figure. I was happy I won to pay last year but in actuality I proably should have saved the other 500 to pay taxes for this year. So win small and build gradually is better than winning big, unless you win real big like 3000 to 100,000 dollars. They make you think that winning big is the best but try to win 100 to 200 dollar increments, more slowly, as you play.

Happy Slot Playing!!

New York also has "Itemized Deduction Limitation" for state taxes.

I wouldn't play slots in NY if they returned 99.9%

TALK TO THE CASINO SUPERVISOR AND WORKERS!!!!

I visit my local casino very frequently and I have made quite a few associates at the casinos. (It is more like a Racinos which only have slot machines but since that is what I usually like to play, it does not bother me that is not a full casino lol) Actually these locations that only host slot games can no longer be called casinos. They legally, in the state of NY, had to change their names to gaming facilities, go figure!!

I speak to several of the technicians to get any kind of inside information on which slots that pay more frequently and which days are the best days to come to the casino. I have watched one individual be promoted from bus driver, to security guard, and then to Casino floor supervisor. We have become cordial and I asked him how does he now like being a supervisor at the casino. He stated that it is a lot more stressful but he is happy that he got promoted. He told me that Labor day was the busiest day that they have ever had at the casino I visit and many jackpots were won. On this particular day I made 1500 dollars in slot winning which is rare for me unless I hit a jackpot in which more than half of the winning came from hitting free games. I was inclined to ask why were the machines paying so frequently today. I stated that I have visited this casino many times and I have not ever won so easily. The supervisor stated that when that much money comes through a casino in a day YOU MAKE SURE THAT YOU VISIT THAT CASINO THE NEXT DAY FOR THE FIRST FOUR TO FIVE HOURS. He also told met that another day to visit the casino for better winnings was the day after New Years EVE. Interesting I thought!! I asked him if he could explain it to me in more detail but he just smiled which I took as him giving me a tip to wining without getting him in trouble. He told me jokingly if you can curb your addiction the best times to gamble on slot machines are the days after the holidays.

Try it out and see what happens! Happy Slot Playing!!

I am on the record on this matter, often fuming, but don't agree in this case that this is an inappropriate post for a blog

I'd been wondering what Reserect was up to, now we know! Perfect for a blog.

>Casino floor supervisor...stated that when that much money comes through a casino in a day YOU MAKE SURE THAT YOU VISIT THAT CASINO THE NEXT DAY FOR THE FIRST FOUR TO FIVE HOURS

I guess he feels like he has seen that happen. I know you know, because you clearly are an educated person, that if the gaming commission knew they were rigging the machines like that, heads would roll. So you know that, but buy into a statement like that. So I guess I will never be able to figure out Reserect!

I am not claiming to know that gaming commission is capable of doing. Let's be honest with ouselves here. The United States Government will tell you all day that they have put into place laws that are fair and just but the reports of corrrpution just won't stop coming in every week!? Now I know they tell me that there is a chip that regualtes the payout of every machine on the floor but when I go to the casino through DIRECT experience and KNOW that the machines are paying more on a particular day my sense of reasonsing and logic have to be questioned with what I am being told about the regulations of the gaming industry.

And since when does a Blog have to adhere to certain rules about what can be posted! Everytime I post about a an experience I had everyone is like "I can't beleive this guy" but I am writing about experiences that I have. I never said that they would work for YOU in particular! Stop with the withhunt burning and stone throwing! damn lol!

agree, although I don't think it should be for the purpose of quickie-questions that belong in the forum. So I am saying your blog is fine

>when I go to the casino through DIRECT experience and KNOW that the machines are paying more on a particular day my sense of reasonsing and logic have to be questioned with what I am being told about the regulations of the gaming industry.

Well, a good scientist has to question everything. And the powers-that-be in anything often have only their own interests in mind and certainly will screw over people given a chance. And I'll even say you have no vested interest in your advice to "try it out", so you are not guilty of the same thing.

I'm repeating myself to say that you have to expect push-back at a site like this. In fact I looked up my old comment that I posted in your blog: "you should know this site is a terrible choice for someone with those ideas ... People generally come here for mathematical answers to questions they have about gambling and hear an absolute drumbeat dismissing systems or methods that suggest games with an edge can be beaten. " So next time I'll just say "you know what I think about all this"

Do Vision Boards Work!!

I created a vision board to help with my casino winnings. If anyone has ever heard of a vision board it is a sort of wish board were you paste pictures related to the things you want to see manifested in your reality. It's weird because I guess as I made my vision board I have sort of a obsession with gambling lol. I realized while making it that I have to ensure that I don't get consumed with thoughts about gambling. I watched a few YouTube videos to see if it would work. I must say I don't know if it was in my mind or what but I have noticed that when I am down I tend to come right back up since I created my vision board. It could be because I focusing the more positive play during my casino visits but we'll continue to add pictures to it see if it has any effect on my winnings. For you bloggers go ahead and try a vision board. Be Specific. Put a picture of your favorite casino, your favorite slot game, and the amount of money you would like to win from that game or casino. Remember to also put positive affirmations on the board to enhance the manifestations.

Below is picture of my Vision Board, if you don't have anything nice to say you know the rest

Grand Parker online: What do you think of online Casinos?

Here are some Pro and Cons that I thought about while playing:

Pros

•It’s much cheaper on your pockets.
•You don’t have to spend gas driving to the casino.
•You can do it from the comfort of your own home.
•You can utilize certain techniques in private that you can’t use at the casino’s (other people can be distracting at times).

Cons

At the casino you get you winnings instantly, with online gambling you have to wait a week for you withdrawal check.
• There are no casinos located in the US as they have outlawed online gambling so you have to play from other countries which there bank laws and practices could cause problems when its time to get paid.
• The varieties of games are much smaller with online casinos. (At least the slot games are too similar)
• The jackpots on the online slot games are almost impossible to win when I have won at least seven jackpots in the casinos.
• The regulatory standards at American casinos are enforced very well. The standards used by other countries with online casinos may sway the win percentages so far in the casinos favor that it becomes criminal and unfair.

I was wondering does anyone have any luck with online gambling. I won about two months ago 586 dollars using a free coupon that they gave me online at Grand Parker Casino. I had to play through 1400.00 dollars actually before I was able to collect any of the money. I made this money on the slot games that they offered bypassing card games, roulette, and craps. I felt like I had could influence the outcome with my techniques which seemed to be working today. This literally took me about six to seven hours but eventually won enough and played through the $40.00 coupon to make 586 dollars. Sad to say I went back to win more the next day and lost it all, lol. Does anyone have an online casino that is not that volatile that they would recommend or do you just choose to not play them at all?

>•You can do it from the comfort of your own home.

you should add this to the "cons" list too

I suggest to anyone to determine the EV of your daily play, calculate how many days a year you are playing, and decide if you really want to spend that much on such entertainment. Also, multiply that negative number* by at least 10 and make sure you can afford that too. Additionally, forget any bonus money in these calculations. Thinking of AP angles is probably just a bad idea.

If someone doesn't know how to proceed with this, or knows they have too little discipline to follow it, then just don't play.

Personally, my discipline is pretty good but I don't trust myself with this kind of temptation.

odiousgambit
odiousgambit Jun 27, 2014

* negative I assume, AP plays seem to be rare or a sign the casino will not pay.
