I've seen a new bet on a roulette layout today in a casino in Belgium.Basically the three dozens were broken into segments of 9 numbers, with the adequate field for betting on them. Is anyone aware of the name of this bet and the odds and probabilities???

Assuming a single-zero game and no half-back-on-zero rule, the probability of the 9-number bet winning is 24.324%. It probably pays 3 to 1, for the same 2.7% house edge as all the other bets in single-zero roulette with no half-back-on-zero rule.
