Most of the single deck blackjack games I've seen on the strip pay 6:5 for a blackjack. Under these rules, with what dealer up card (if any) does it make sense to double down with a blackjack? How does this affect the house edge?

The highest expected value for any play in blackjack is under .80 (6,5 against a 5 in a single deck game). So even if the blackjack paid even money, you should never double down on a blackjack
