Does anybody have any comments on this?

This guy is a professional in the gambling industry (horse racing specifically). He must be very knowledgeable about gambling. But if he is managing to consistently beat the casinos at high stakes Blackjack it makes me wonder what is going on.

If he was using any kind of a counting system, they'd be on him immediately right? Surely they monitor every hand of play at the highest stakes.

And I'm guessing he's not cheating in some way, he must be constantly being watched when he plays.

Has he just been getting consistently super lucky or is there something more going on here?

This is very interesting.

I agree with you greenplayer. It is clear that he is a smart guy with mathematical skills being the CEO of a stats programing company for horse wagering industry. However, he was watched like a hawk and he had been gambling for many many years. This was just his real lucky streak. He had a lot of balls and threw it out there. Im sure he played right and managed brilliantly... and won the big doubles and splits when he needed them.

Im dont know what his starting amount was, but Im sure he had either a half million or million dollar line to start. When your betting 100,000 a pop and have 3 hands going at a time. It doesnt take long to get to a few million if your on a great luck run and dealer keeps busting.

Put it in perspective... It would be like going to a bj with 1000. 100 max bet, play 3 hands at a time, and win 6000. Still an unbelieveable run and not common, but it isnt a miracle and you dont have to be a card counter to achieve it. Which, btw, ive heard of many a players that were card counters and lost a shit load.

Yeah.

There are plenty of comments on it right here:

Here is another thread with an interesting twist. It is quite possible that the AC Casinos decided to, well, gamble on what they would risk to attract the oh-so-important whales. The whales, it has been noted in some articles out there, are a little more hard to find and attract these days it seems. The Wizard seems to think the possibility they blew it has some weight and promises to post something on it at his other site one day.

Since he has only admitted to how much he won on his winning months, and not how much he lost, we don't really know how much he won. This table of blackjack earnings at the Tropicana shows they had some excellent months before losing the $6 million. Some of those casino winnings could have been at the expense of the player.
