I also don't consider using a word list as cheating.

To me, cheating would be classified as specifically obtaining information about the solution ahead of time. For example, knowing there are two Es in the solution, or there are no letters used greater than the letter R, etc.

Of course, some might consider using pen and paper cheating. They feel it should ALL be done in one's head.

Others might consider spending more than a minute on the game as 'cheating.' They might feel no thought at all should be required, other than the time it takes to come up with the first word you can think of.

I agree with Indy that everyone has their own method of how they choose to play the game.

Word puzzles are my thing.

Wordle 263 2/6

Wordle2 100 2/6

I try to use the first word that pops into my head in the morning, but I modify it to avoid double letters. So I would use SATED instead of SATES. However using a plural or a past tense usually means you don’t get that lucky first guess, my sister got that once.

CRATE
AMUSE
LAPSE

Note 1: I used a list of 2309 possible "Wordle words" for guess 2 and 3 (so "minor assistance", IMO).
Note 2: After this, I plan to only use the 10600+ "allowed Wordle guesses" list from now on (if I get stuck).
Note 3: I am mainly using this game as a fun way to learn the meaning(s)*** of words / increase my vocab and understanding.

***: For example, the answer for "Wordle 264 3/6" has "four common definitions" (when using a quick "google search").

Can anyone suggest a good generic starting guess for nerdle?

What I am looking for is something with a multiplication and division sign plus as many digits as possible (preferably not a zero, which is rarely in the solution).

24/8*3=9

Using the "starting guess" suggestion by miplet, I got 2 from 2 nerdles, both out in 3 guesses.

24/8*3=9
63-10=53
73-10=63

For people that don't want to use Wordle Unlimited (for whatever reason) but they do want to solve more than one Wordle per day, you can set the date forward or back in your pc (I have only tested 1 day +/- so far).

My best results yet. Mostly due to the lucky selection of my two first guesses. I’ve never even gotten it in 4 before, let alone 3.

I kinda like Wordle.

Very addictive, but doesn't turn into a time suck since you only get to play once per day. Nice.

Wordle 264 3/6

🟨🟩🟨🟨⬜
🟨🟩🟨⬜🟨
🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

Only two words left after my first guess. And of course I picked the wrong one again.
My average solution after just five games is exactly 3 rows. If I play long enough I expect it will eventually settle in the low 4s.

Damn, I hate when this happens.
You literally have to “roll the dice” to pick the right one,
and today I did not.

Wordle 265 X/6

⬜🟨⬜⬜⬜
⬜⬜⬜🟨⬜
⬜⬜🟩🟨⬜
⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩
⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩
⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩

Thought I was gonna get it on the 4th attempt.
OFFICIALLY and justifiably reclaimed my title as SuperHotBlonde!
