I'm helping a friend trying to find a good home for this female kitten. We don't know too much about her. It just showed up at my friend's house in Phoenix one day. I suspect it was abandoned there. Something similar happened to me about tens years ago. I'm told this kitten is very affectionate and vocal. The reason my friend can't keep it is his long-time cats don't like the newcomer. I think he is willing to take it to Vegas for purposes of adoption.
I think he will address any questions you may have.
The question for the poll is who is your favorite cat?
I saw Fritz the Cat in the movies and didn't get the whole idea.
https://rehome.adoptapet.com/answers/dog-rehoming/what-is-a-rehoming-feeQuote: AdoptAPetA rehoming fee is a payment made by potential adopters to the person or organization they are adopting a pet from. These fees are important because they require potential adopters to demonstrate the financial ability to care for a pet and to weed out people who collect dogs and cats listed as free to a good home for use in dog fighting, as bait animals, or to sell to labs....In order to make the pet unattractive to people who want dogs and cats for nefarious purposes, the fee should be at least $50. If you want the adopter to demonstrate a willingness to care for your pet's financial needs, you may want to charge more.
I'm sure the temporary keeper of this cat will screen adopters carefully. Meanwhile, that makes sense about rehoming fees.
2. Evenbob's cat super model.
I voted for Richard Feynman as my favorite, but only because Zazzles was not an option!
Garfield
Puss In Boots
About cats & the poll:
I totally do not remember a cat that lived next door to Snoopy. Google to the rescue. Yeah, I remember that stupid cat. But I still don't remember Frieda, the cat's owner.
And Richard Feynman? It took a bit of Google sleuthing to get why he's included. Boy is that a reference out of left field.
My favorite cat? Garfield.
Of course, part of the reason is because of a Garfield Get Well card I saw many years back. On the front, Garfield comments, "I heard you're sick." Inside he says, "Hope you don't die." (Sorry but I couldn’t find an image of it.)
Here is the Richard Feynman reference.

I should have included Felix the Cat, but didn't think of the idea at the time. Probably Garfield also, although I never liked that comic strip.
Quote: smoothgrhThanks for providing the TBBT clip. Feynman's wikipedia entry included two references to cats, but neither are a clear connection as to why you included him in the poll.
I wanted to include one of the TBBT cats. Feynman was the most pertinent to the plot. Sheldon got him first before the rest of the clowder.
I also like the real Feynman. Almost saw him give a talk once on black holes, but the auditorium filled up before my place in line.

I think Ellie would like a friend.

In the 1980s there were Garfield figurines for sale everywhere. At Hallmark stores, in pharmacies, at airports. There were hundreds of them; all different. There were probably two dozen of them just for Halloween. My wife started collecting them in the early 80s she eventually had almost all of them. There were so many she could only display 40 or 50 at a time. She paid two or three dollars apiece for them and started selling them this year on eBay. Some of the harder to find figurines we're going for three or four hundred dollars each. I don't know how much she made but it has to be thousands of dollars.

I agree, but the wife is adamant that we wait until Ellie perishes and our little puppy grows up more.

DRich.... I recognize your wife, but aren’t your ears longer?

Drich, what type of dog is that it looks like a mix with some Great Dane.
I grew up with Great Danes.

Some day, your puppy will become a big dog.
