Congratulations to SOOPOO, although it was an easy victory after the windfall from round 11. Otherwise, I'd like to congratulate those who finished above $12:

PlayYourCardsRight -- $13.77
PokerGrinder -- $13.61
gamerfreak -- $13.09
prozema -- $12.72

Perhaps a better measurement of success is the number of rounds with a positive result. Here are those totals of winning rounds, in order:

Player Total wins

GWAE 10

Congratulations to those tied at 10: PlayYourCardsRight, gamerfreak, Nathan, GWAE, Ayecarumba

Looking at both ways, I think the overall game winner is PlayYourCardsRight with ten wins and coming in second in money (first if not counting round 11). How about a speech from the winner?

You got to find out who's a c@#$, who would sell their honor for pocket change, and, conversely, who can be trusted despite whatever influences may exist. And it only cost you +$10.

Seems quite appointing to me. Chin up.

AyeCarumba stole because the big pool wanted to freeze us out in earlier rounds and I bribed him.

OneNickelMiracle stole because he KNEW there was as least one other steal.

DJATC stole for the lulz and it’s a very small amount of money. Also probably didn’t like the big pool freezing us out.

If I were going to make real world judgments based on the game, I’d hate Romes, SOOPOO and TroopScott and never let them play the WoV Picks Game. I’m not an Admin anymore. I don’t need to be diplomatic.

But, we can’t make real world judgments based on a silly game.

I don’t know AyeCarumba personally, but you’ll never find two more honorable cool cats than DJATC and ONM.

I also am thankful to the Wizard for sponsoring the game, as well as everyone else who put cash into it (at least promised to). And a big thanks to OD and BBB for editing the tables.

In a way I will be glad to walk away from this “Den of Thieves” and get back to the real world. On the other hand, it was a lot of laughs, and I look forward to the next time.

Best of luck to those moving on to the parlay! I hope you win enough to get invited to “Gambling With An Edge”. I’ll be following your exploits with interest. Please take care of each other.

Many thanks to the Wiz for sponsoring the game.

My vote for the big pool is that we all give our money to Axel for the big pot. He's a vegas local, and then if we democratically decide to do something that needs bets placed/etc it's much easier that way.
Playing it correctly means you've already won.

I'm sorry, I keep failing to convey facisoiusness properly. I guess I thought the idea of publicly denouncing their actual selves based on a dime-a-hand game of bluff and connive was ridiculous enough so as to not to require a disclaimer.

Alternatively, the line defining joke and being an a-hole has certainly dulled for me in the last few. I am admittedly failing with keeping work at work.

Either way, my fault. Apologies to any / all offended.

Thank you for the freeroll and several weeks worth of fun at no cost to me. Hopefully we did a good job as retarded monkeys and gave you a spike in pageviews to help with your advertising metrics.

Thank you to Mission for being a worthy adversary in bashing each other. For me sir the game had been somewhat boring until our battle became a part of the game. That is why I did not want to check your PM though if we were both capitans I would have and let you know that is why I had not checked it. Never at any point did I take our back and forth serious and I hope you did not either.

Thank you to the big pool for helping us get 10x more money than the small pool. Let's turn our 300 in 3k with a couple nice parlays or whatever besides Nathan's lotto picks and mega millions

Thank you Wizard for funding and running this game. You did a good job.

For the record, I am not irritated with anyone for their play during this COOP game. Whoever said they are irritated with Romes, Soopoo and Troopscott would probably like those guys if they met them. It was a game and we all made money, so let's calm down and move on to the NFL Picks game where you can show us all how smart you are.

I am fine with Romes' suggestion that Axel make a bet with my winnings, if Axel is agreeable.

As I said before, I would be willing to invest the money on a few small "no risk" plays. I just need to know whos in ( I guess I don't even really need to know that)and how much we are working with. Once I know how much I'm working with I can estimate how much we should make. I won't be looking to HIT BIG I will be grinding. Off the top of my head...the best case scenario would be around $400 bucks. FYI ill be adding in my extra $5 I won from Mike as well. I might need some help from a member when the time comes, that should save us some money.

I don't need the money in my hand. The Wizard can just hold on to it and ill use my own money for now. Whatever I make on the investment I will give to Mike to re-distribute to everyone. If anyone wants to put their winning on parlays after or before that I suggest they talk to Mike and see if he's willing to put them in.

It was a game and we all made money, so let's calm down and move on to the NFL Picks game where you can show us all how smart you are.

I am fine with Romes' suggestion that Axel make a bet with my winnings, if Axel is agreeable.

I don't have a problem with that.

Definitely a thanks to Wizard and thanks for letting me jump in the game after BillRyan quit.

That was fun, TroopScott, and I agree you're a worthy adversary. I'm going to team up with you if we ever have a game like this again, being against you is too frustrating.

Gordon, it's all good, I don't think anybody is seriously mad at anyone else. When I took Face's post seriously (which it wasn't) I was just saying I'd not have a good opinion of people if I based my opinions on this game.

I agree it's onto the NFL Picks Game! I'm not going to win, though. I'll probably perform slightly better than average and finish nowhere near protecting any of my own prizes.

This raises an interesting question... I had assumed that the big pool players all had an equal share of the big pool win... I.e. individual performance didnt matter.

I doubt Wizard was the one I was talking about but there was talks of a certain Poster who blindly went along with whatever their Team wanted them to vote whether it be Steal or Share. This is what prompted me to suggest a Rogue Round where everyone votes what they want to vote, not under the influence of a Team. ;)

If you weren’t trolling (which you were) then you were just speaking for the sake of speaking without reading how the game was being played. Seeing as you are active in this thread and clearly are paying attention, this is why your posts are trolling.

Now that it’s over, I have a couple of thoughts…

I think the pool thing changes the game so much that it defeats the purpose in some cases. Of course, I really enjoyed the hilarity in that one round where the pool people should’ve had a lock but couldn’t get their act together at all. I would’ve laughed my ass off if the pool didn’t win that round.

On the other hand, I’m glad there was no discussion of taking the winnings and merely donating to some charity like there was last time. I’ve got nothing against donating to charity. But when you’re in a competition where you no longer have a prize to shoot for, it waters down the game. So I’m glad that didn’t happen this time.

And I’m not in the pool for a different reason. If any member was so confident that they could double money, why are they just doing that all the time? What is so special about the money earned in this game, that suddenly there’s desire to pool it to double it? Aren’t we all gamblers? Why can’t we try to double our money all the time? Bottom line, that part really makes no sense to me. And when you add in all the bickering about what type of bet to make, leave me out of it!

I already sent the message to Wizard but here is what I’m doing with my money: I’ve asked him to hold onto it, and I will use that as my bankroll for waitress trivia when I come to Vegas for G2E.

Because there is a cap how much you can make and it takes time and effort.
Let me give you an example. Let's say there's a bar that offers new patrons $50 in free play when they cycle $50 through the machine. That would be worth about $46. If played on something with low variance you should be close to that number give or take a few bucks - any tipping. Obviously, I could only do it once myself. It's not worth paying someone else to play it for you. Even if one thought it was worth doing that, no doubt they would catch on and end the promo or deny certain people.

I enjoy the forum and I like most of the members here, so I thought I would do something nice in the spirit of the game.

Given the way I would play it $1199 would be impossible. $2 would be technically possible but I would be calling gaming. Anyways, that was just an example of something they had going in the past.

There is one thing I'm thinking of that it would be possible to hit something good, however, I would probably need help since I'm not welcome there anymore. I don't know, I could probably just sneak in and out unmolested.

Thank you for the kind words some have expressed and to those who thanked me -- you're very welcome.

About the round 13 last minute vote change, no, it wasn't Nathan. Nathan didn't have a vote so I would have been lying if I said a non-existent vote changed. I absolutely maintain there was at least one vote change shortly before the deadline. If we do this again I absolutely pledge as the host I will, again:

1. Not lie.
2. Not buy votes.
3. Not leak information.

I am allowed to mess with people by PM by saying things like "I think you should steal," but I won't say things like "there is at least one steal vote already." I believe everybody should have access to the same information.

I'm glad to see temperatures are decreasing and there are evidently no hard feelings. That said, OD has sent me $110 in vote buying money. That said, here is what I show I owe everybody.

To be specific, the only instructions I have recorded in my spreadsheet are from beachbumbabs, Mission146, DJTeddyBear, and prozema. If you are not one of those people, I would prefer you PM me with instructions.

Thanks all for a good game!

This raises an interesting question... I had assumed that the big pool players all had an equal share of the big pool win... I.e. individual performance didnt matter.
Is that right or do we have a equity based on individual performance?

You are correct, prozema. Unfortunately, Mike does not want me to say send $1.38 to prozema, $1.38 to nathan, $1.38 to JohnnyQ, etc....

So I am instructing him to send all of my money to Axel. I really hope there is no big pool member that wants his $13 or whatever it is sent to him instead of playing with the pool. If anyone still doesn't understand, Axel is basically giving the rest of us some EV that he would otherwise be able to keep himself. Let's let Axel try and double the funds and then we can reconvene.

Again, please, no one worry that there are any hard feelings between me and any member of the forum due to this game. There are none.

And thanks again to Mike for the free roll.

Thanks. I'll send the wizard a PM asking him to send my $$ to Axel.

Big Poolers... Here is the thread where we are devising a plan.

Each member of 'The Big Pool' should consider his/her 'take' to be $13.79. Give or take a fraction of a cent.

We should all endeavor to make Wizard's life as easy as possible by clearly letting him know what we wish him to do with our 'Take'. Let's please keep it simple and inexpensive for him. I.e. don't expect him to send you a cashiers check or a wad of cash, by armed courier.
I understand that paypal is free and easy for him. Maybe he can do ChasePay or amazon gift cards.

Thanks again Mike!

I would like to direct my winnings to BBB as a downpayment on my entry fee for the NFL Picks game. I also have Mission’s winnings coming my way, and they also will go toward my entry fee. Are you okay doing these kinds of transfers, or is it better for you to only direct each person’s funds one place and be done with it? I want to do what’s easiest for you.

edit: And again, thanks to OD (and any others) for straddling the blind by adding to the pot. It made for a wild ride.

Shameless plug. Does the ending of The Cooperation Game mean that Nathan's Corner gets more traction now? ;) The Cooperation Game beat my Corner by like 70 whole pages!
