What 'track', there is no track.
"Truth is a pathless land." J. Krishnamurti
Yes, truth as understanding, thinking in general, and philosophy. For the rest, it only often seems that way because most of the stuff that most of us think about, in terms of theory, anyway, goes along without ever being put into proper context. Whether we control or not what pops into our heads, all of it has definitive meaning, on some level in every activity. On its own, it all looks unrelated and whimsical. It's the understanding, which is seemingly endless. Not the knowledge of things, which is more mental than physical, or quantum mechanical, in nature.Quote: EvenBobWhat 'track', there is no track.

You went to the school of 'why explain
things in 8 words when 100 words is
much more complicated.'
Quote: 1MatterToMotionMine, too.
I hate to have to break it to you guys, but science, itself, whether finite or infinite, confronts exactly the same dilemmas and paradoxes as do religion, and the other "branches" of philosophy. Russell's set-theory paradox, eg. "Russell’s paradox is the most famous of the logical or set-theoretical paradoxes. Also known as the Russell-Zermelo paradox, the paradox arises within naïve set theory by considering the set of all sets that are not members of themselves. Such a set appears to be a member of itself if and only if it is not a member of itself. Hence the paradox." Which addresses such things as the apparent impossibility of listing all the rules of mathematics.
Yeah, I had you a while back, but wanted more confirmation. See ya.

It wasn't Buzz. I was getting
irritated with his nonsense
posts in this thread, using
a bunch of words to basically
say nothing. I'm the only one
allowed to do that.

OK Babs, don't hold us in suspense: who was it?
FWIW I disagree EB's belief that M2M's posts were BS; I suspect he's a smart, well educated person whose comments were abstruse and difficult for some to follow.
One can only assume he was a sock?
Otherwise, why give him the old heave ho?

They weren't hard to follow if you
know how to read over written crap.
He's somebody who knew me on GG,
he almost said as much. He gave it
away last week.

Naturally she runs and hides and won't tell us the truth.
Nobody said that false religions don’t exist.

Yeah. I posted it in the suspension list an hour or more ago.
This is the second time you've trolled me today. Have a time out. 3 days.
Apparently was Grimreaper. I was thinking Monet.

My God. This is like the THIRD TIME someone mentioned something like,"Love how this Newbie already knows a lot of WOV History, that's not suspicious at all," and I replied,"I'm willing to give this Newbie the benefit of the doubt. Lots of Newbies admitted that they lurked on here before officially registering," and it turned out "The Newbie," was a Dupe ID of a banned member. Let me put emphasis on this again. This happened roughly THREE TIMES!

So, what's your point. I don't get it.
Quote: EvenBobSo, what's your point. I don't get it.
My point is that is that I keep giving "Newbies" the benefit the doubt and they turn out to be Dupe IDs of banned members .
You should just sell your life story.Quote: NathanMy point is that is that I keep giving "Newbies" the benefit the doubt and they turn out to be Dupe IDs of banned members .

Are we still buying and selling souls on this forum?
Some do. I made copies and sell the fakes.Quote: FinsRuleAre we still buying and selling souls on this forum?
Don't like buying, because of liability reasons.

Not me.
The AP is to rent them, like Sinatra did with women.

Certainly a good use for bitcoin.

Now that's funny. Does it mean you have no soul? Have you retained the original?
Please explain that. What liability could there be, even in a country where litigation is a way of life? Are you afraid that your stash of souls could be stolen and abused?Quote:Don't like buying, because of liability reasons.

I think he was implying that there are some souls that are worth more trouble than they are worth. ;) Murders, Child Molesters/Child Rapists, and Rapists(Of Adults) are the prime examples of souls I am talking about.

You mean the Bible? Can we
still discuss religion, I thought
politics was all that was banned.

Quote: Rule 19
Controversial Speech: In an effort to keep the focus of the forum on gambling, Vegas, and math, comments of a political, racial, religious, sexual, or otherwise controversial nature are not allowed. We recommend taking such discussion elsewhere (Added 8/13/19).
Wizard did not go back to lock every thread that might ever be deemed controversial but I'm going to lock this one. [EDIT I see some other moderator already did]
The topic alone is pretty clearly not central to the theme of this forum and is reasonably controversial. I'd apply the same thinking to discussions of validity of The Bible, Quaran, or any other ancient religious scripture.
Feel free to take this topic to the forum http://diversitytomorrow.com/ where it's welcome and where EvenBob has already been active in a similar discussion.
