I wonder how many players felt jinxed by this placement of the "Any '7' ". It's normally considered bad mojo to feature or print "7" anywhere on either base of the table, because this is the shooter's area. In fact, some Craps tables don't even print "7" in the center table, subbing in "Big Red" or "Main Street".

I think it's a Rube Goldberg machine. When I was in my early double-digits there was a 30-minute show called Alive TV that aired on PBS late Saturday nights, and every episode was completely random and unrelated to other episodes. One week it had Ed Asner sitting on a park bench swearing the entire time, and one week it had a 30-minute long continuous shot of a Rube Goldberg machine, which was really cool to watch.
