Tropicana's huge loss on craps table just about wiped out all the table games for the month. Down $3.5 million for the month after losing $6 million on one day.
What happened to Trump Taj Majal? They almost doubled last year's table games for June. Have they joined in the high limit games?
Overall numbers are still dropping for slots and games in AC. NJ slot revenue is within 2.71% of PA for the 12 months ending on June. PA has still not reported table games for June.
Sounds like some high rollers were hitting Trop, Caesars and Taj. Maybe Don Johnson gave some of his winnings back at the Taj?

The overall Atlantic City drop of 5.2% in table games was the lowest drop so far in 2011. But Borgata, Trump Marina, and Taj Mahal were big winners, and Tropicana, Ceasars and Showboat were big losers. Much more variance than normal.
Pennsylvania is taking a long time releasing it's table game figures for June. I am curious if the hotel helped move Bethlehem Sands table games significantly.

Maybe Credit Suisse hired executives who actually understood that giving a 20 percent rebate on losses shifted the odds significantly in favor of the player. As opposed to Loveman, Icahn and Stations, whose decision makers clearly did not understand the importance and size of house advantage.

Be that as it may, its certain that Loveman, Icahn and the Stations executives will get their lofty salaries, stock options and bonuses.
The publicity didn't seem to help all that much. It probably helped Pennsylvania the most.

It didn't even seem to help Delaware, whose three casinos are reportedly suffering. This may be more than the abnormal economy. We may be seeing oversaturation. Can we all spell R-E-V-E-L, which opened a "visitors' center" this week? Its opening date has been set for May 15. Does WOV run pools or just polls?

It's difficult to say what oversaturation is. Philadelphia has 5 million people in the combined metropolitan statistical area. The Gaming Control Board thought that it would take 4 full size casinos and a small casino easily. Well the third casino (Sugarhouse) has very few slot machines, and the 4th casino will probably never be built (casino that Wynn flirted with).
With the three Philadelphia casinos taking in $800 million in slot revenue in the just completed fiscal year, and Atlantic City dropping by $1500 million in slot revenue since the first Philadelphia casino opened, it seems as if nearly every dollar made in Philadelphia came from Atlantic city's hide.
