Pleas post comments here regarding offers, promotions, good VP pay tables, etc

For example: I am getting a guaranteed $55 free slot play offer for Fridays in August at Cincinnati plus a mystery bonus of up to $!000. Friday night I got $80 total free play pus a $60 coupon from my monthly mailer.

thanks!

I just checked my offers at HorseShoe Cincinnati and I am getting FSP $15x8=$120, plus some other freeplay (can't tell how much) weekly, and the mystery offer. Plus a gas card or food coupon on select days. It's not been worth driving down there since last July & August when they had the freeplay bounceback bonanza.

I do like the casino and the powers that be like me better than in Cleveland, so I will probably go back. 2 free buffets S-F also.

On Sunday August 31 HorseShoe Southern Indiana is giving away 75,000 in cool cash, win up to $25,000. The mailer I received says I have earned 10000 entries into the drawing. I have no idea exactly how the entries were earned. In past drawing for cars I sometime have received 1000 bonus entries. I always found it a little unfair when you are legitimately earning entries for some drawing, (1 for each 25 tier credits) and then you find that mailers are being sent out with far more bonus entries then I could possibly earn on my own.

Maybe no one else got a mailer with 10,000 entries? I believe I will show up for this one....

Good luck on that; definitely tempting. Speaking of car winnings, anybody heard from Chauncey lately?

Do you have a sense for how much you play compared to other players at the casino? If you are one of the few high rollers there you may have a shot. If you are a mid-end player, I guarantee you that every other mid-end player got the same mailer, and the high rollers probably got 100k or 1M entries.

I am a level 1-2 seven stars player. I have optimized their tier credit bonus to get there wiith as little loss as possible. Lost a little last year, up a little this year. I don't know how many regulars they have who play more than I do, I suspect maybe 200 or more based on crowd size for some of the seven stars events and giveaways. Many play way more than I do.

What does "level 1-2" mean?

And, what do you get from them in a year? In particular:

Tourney invites: How much are they worth? Divide total prize pool (minus buy-ins, if it's not a freeroll) by total number of entrants. Eg, a freeroll $175k tournament with 150 entrants (standard at Mandalay Bay) is worth $1166.

I assume you get a suite, limo service, and your food and beverage comped up to reasonable limits.

Any "show-up" money? This includes freeplay you get just for booking an offer.

Any loss rebates? Discounts on markers, cash in an envelope and freeplay added to your account after you leave all count. They probably call it "airfare".

Any cash back or freeplay if you don't lose, over and above the points on your card? Some % of theo on winning trips? They probably also call this "airfare".

Anything else? Cruises, gifts, etc, etc?

Feel free to PM me if you don't want to post details publicly; if you want me to keep something to myself let me know and I will.

The seven stars levels may not be called that anymore but I mean entry level seven stars. Someone posted here a year and half ago how to do it with a theoretical loss of $2300. It gets you an annual retreat to a Caesars property with air and some other very nice perks. The free play has been very good to not very much at all. Cruises yes (not taken), gifts yes(some very good, some worthless) recently $1500 BestBuy gift card. Offsetting large losses and wins along the way. No Suites, limo (for the annual retreat), no loss rebates or marker discounts. Trips with air to AC, Reno and other places (never taken, my work keeps me too busy) With the Video Poker downgrades I may never try this again.

August 23, Southern Indiana, Millionaire Maker Blackjack qualifier, $50,000 prize structure. $25,000 cash to the winner. Winner gets to go to the Millionaire Maker Blackjack Tournament finale in Vegas.

Previous tournaments like this I have participated in had larger prize pools and about 240 people. I believe most of the participants get comped entries.

Are you going to the $75,000 Millionaire Maker BJ tournament in Cincy?

Unsure. I know it is August 30. I've sent an email to my host asking about it since I didn't get anything in the mail and I am waiting on her response. HorseShoe Southern Indiana seems to have me classified as a table games player (although I don't understand why) and Cincinnati has me as a slots player. I guess that is the case because I get free slot play from Cincinnati and free table play coupons from Southern Indiana. I would like to be back on the free slot play side at Southern Indiana. I get invites for comped slot tournaments at Cincinnati and comped blackjack tournaments at Southern Indiana.

HorseShoe Cincinnati promotion called Share the Wealth, Saturday August 30 and Sunday August 31. 5pm-9pm Casino Floor $1 machines and above.

Guests who hit a taxable jackpot on $1 machines and above between 5pm and 9pm each night will share $20,000 free slot play.

Free slot play will be split based on the number of taxable jackpots won on $1 machines and above. Prizes can be claimed at 9:30pm each night.

My plan 'was' to go play 9/6 DDB at $5 credits so that any 4 of a kind will qualify. I am thinking I would get 3-4 jackpots for 3-4 shares of the $20,000. If I make out on Saturday night, I will try the same on Sunday night.

I have no idea what kind of turnout they will get for this promotion.

Well never-mind, just reading find print and see video poker machines are excluded from the promotion. Fine print says you can win up to 3 times.

My experience is Caesar's excludes VP from all of the reward credit multipliers so I guess I should have expected this as well.

For the promotion I mentioned in my previous post...I don't normally play slots so anyone have a suggestion on how to select a game with better chance of getting a $1200 hand pay as a jackpot?

Were you in Cincy this weekend? Was there a BJ tournament? You mentioned some sort of a qualifier. I got a mailer about a $75,000 blackjack tournament on Aug. 30th but they said the entry fee was $500. No way am I paying for that -- well, depends on the E.V. I guess. You think it's worth it?

Picked up $25 in freeplay and ate a comped buffet. Prime rib was too salty. Didn't play at all besides the freeplay.

My friend Al likes to play 5-5 and 5-10 PLO, and 30-60 Omaha Hi-Lo. He was just commenting to me the other day that those games have died down at Horseshoe Cincinnatti.

No, I was at HorseShoe Southern Indiana for their blackjack tournament. I came in fourth place. I plan to go to the Cincinnati blackjack tournament this weekend. My host was able to enter me. I wouldn't pay for one of these tournaments.

Never played. Can't comment on them. It does seem that overall the Casino is not as busy this summer.

HorseShoe Southern Indiana has this game... https://wizardofodds.com/games/video-poker/tables/ultimate-4-of-a-kind-bonus/ at up to $1 credits

Whenever you get a 4OAK you get a bonus round where you get 1-3 picks from a 53 card deck to win a bonus from 200 up to 3996 credits. The game automatically pre selects the hold cards so you can play it really fast. What I am unsure of is how/if play should be altered to go for the 4 of a kinds. The pre selected hold cards seem to be the proper play for the non bonus games but are they still correct for the bonus play?. Anyone know where I find the proper strategy for this game?
